Nebraska: TODAY is deadline to apply as delegate!

If you live in Nebraska, to apply as a delegate, please do the following:

1. Find your County Clerk here:
http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/clerks.html

2. Call your County Clerk and ask them where to apply IN PERSON as a candidate for delegate to the County Convention.

3. Go and apply IN PERSON by END OF TODAY, March 1. They can help you fill out the form. You do have to be a registered Republican to be eligible to apply.

4. After you file as a candidate, fill out this form here:

5. If you have already filed as a candidate, get your friends to do so. All they need to do is fill out ONE form.

Please go to your county clerk RIGHT NOW and file as a candidate for delegate to the county convention.

You must be a registered Republican, registered Non-Partisan, or unregistered to vote to be able to apply as a candidate today.

If you are a registered Libertarian or Democrat, you cannot apply as a delegate but you still need to re-register as a Republican to be able to vote in the primary.

Ron Paul came out into the open about his delegate strategy so that we would realize that votes don't matter, unless your a delegate voting for Ron Paul at the convention. Delegates are the end game strategy and the rest is for show.

We need ALL our supporters in Nebraska to file as candidates for delegates.

It costs you absolutely nothing and you will not be committed to do anything. If you become a delegate, you have the OPTION to attend your County Convention in June, which lasts up to 2 hours. You do not have to make any other time commitments or speeches.

If you live in Omaha and want to be a delegate, there is a meetup at the Ice house bar at 7 to fill out the paperwork.

Even if you don't live in Omaha, come on in. Just make sure you note which county you are registering for.

According to Doug Wead, the memos coming from the top are requesting that only applicants over the age of 40 are to be considered as delegates in an attempt to weed out the Ron Paul supporters. Anyone under 40: DO NOT let that discourage you! We don't know how effective they can be to that end so you have to assume that you'll be selected and try your best, but it IS a call to our 40+ supporters to do whatever you can. Apparently the 40+ demographic is thin, so please give becoming a delegate serious consideration- you may be our only shot at a delegate in your precinct.
