What are the rules for the SC

What are the rules for the SC primary? Independents allowed to vote if register GOP or what?

Nice

That's up 6 points from the last insider advantage poll

Question.

Do you guys want Mitt to win SC if Ron Paul doesn't?

Advantage: assuming that Ron Paul makes it into top three, it would essentially seal the two-man's race since Newt, Rick and Rick would drop out soon afterwards.

Disadvantage: that would make it three-in-a-row for Romney.

The other scenario - Gingrich wins it.

Advantage: the race remains more open after SC.

Disadvantage: Newt would re-emerge as 'frontrunner' and the media would be able to portray him as the only real alternative to Romney.

On the one hand I would like Mitt to lose the next one, but in the end I think the better scenario would be if we manage to knock out Gingrich, Perry AND Santorum and make it a two man's race from there on.

I think Ron Paul needs another top three finish in any case.

i think ron needs to win. and

i think ron needs to win.

and he will.

What?

31.2% of 18-29 year olds in that poll selected Gingrich?

Are you kidding me?

Ad five points to any Ron Paul percentage

and you will get a much more accurate view of what's going on, ala NH.

I agree

(but I still can't explain the anomaly in Iowa where the polls were surprisingly accurate)

This poll was conducted using

This poll was conducted using 726 likely voters. Even though the vote totals weren't posted it is easy to figure them out.

Romney - 168
Gingrich - 155
Santorum - 98
Ron Paul - 97

Romney and Gingrich are essentially tied for first with Santorum and Paul tied for third.

First is within reach!!

ten points in a week is doable. Once Santorum and Gingrich rip Mittens, Paul just needs to move five points and it would be a four way race.

I'd be fine with a 4th as long at it is 16% and a 2% difference between the 4

31.2% 18-29 for Gingrich???

19.2% for Paul? I see that ending up flipping giving Paul third. It will be interesting to see the next poll.

It is beyond me

how Gingrich is being taken seriously still. Not just by some people, but apparently whole states...even when WE KNOW that he's not even on the ballot in multiple states INCLUDING his home state of Virginia...and he's still being taken seriously? Really? Who are these people? Oh yeah, South Carolinians it seems.

Someone dying of thirst..

will drink urine to stay alive. SC voters just haven't yet realized the cool drink of water that is Ron Paul.

We're moving up!!! I wouldn't

We're moving up!!! I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a close 3-way race like Iowa. This time with Paul/Romney/Gingrich; the order would be hard to predict. I think Gingrich is losing support, not gaining. We will likely take 1rst or 2nd:)

Seeing that SC is an open primary you have to like...

http://www.dailypaul.com/202844/send-out-super-brochures-to-...

Please consider taking a handful of Super Brochures or slim jims and mailing them to these South Carolina Baptist churches, you need to address them yourself and put a stamp on! Then please log them on the post above. So fare we have 60 mailed, we need close to 1,000. Can you imagine if RP was mentioned in every baptist church in SC this Sunday? Take a look at the post, so far myself and two others have done mailings of SuperBrochures to the churches listed, there is a link and you can start at the next church on the list and take 5-10.

Bump.. I

Bump

This is good news.

We're LEADING with voters 30-44. If we can bump up our support with young voters that Paul usually attracts, we can win SC!

Santorum statement to Greta

The re run is on now.
On Greta, Santorum states that Iranian nuclear scientists should be seen as enemy combatants and should be taken out.
Did anyone else catch this?
WOW

I'm getting worried that Frothy

might be an enemy combatant.
Perhaps he should be indefinitely detained for like, forever.
Just in case, you know.
Can't be too careful. And I need to feel safe.

Especially since he IS a radicalized religious extremist who's on record of wanting to impose a radical fundamentalist theocracy in America, and regularly promotes violence in his zeal to create his version of a "Global Caliphate".
He could be the "American Al Qaeda". He may go "jihad" at any moment. And he's influencing American elections. He has supporting organizations which fund his radical activities.
We have to watch that dude.

If he gets any further out of control, we might have to drone some innocent cities in Pennsylvania to teach him a lesson.
Don't mess with the US!
F*ck yeah!
USA USA USA !

I missed it, but that's

I missed it, but that's really disturbing. That a civilian scientist working for a peaceful nuclear energy program would be declared an 'enemy combatant.' Santorum really scares me.

can't Frothy REASON even a little...

...bit?? Something like maybe "civilian scientist is RUSSIAN... declared an enemy combatant by US gov't... Russian gov't says -- OK, so that means we are at WAR with the US!!" (That is the FIRST thing I thought when hearing his BS line of jive.)

This is big

If Ron ends up with a number starting with a '2', in 2nd place, and Romney ends ups with a number starting with a '2', in 1st, with all others in the teens or less, then there's simply no other way for the establishment and MSM to spin it: Ron Paul *is* number 2 and the only threat to Romney. This is a *very* realistic outcome, and an outright win in SC within reach.

Immediately afterward, Perry and Huntsman would drop out. Santorum also likely would drop out, but would be toast even if he stayed in. I think Newt, with PAC money, would stay in, but he'd be toast too. And that outcome, even with a win, would *greatly* scare Romney.

Very encouraging, folks. We need a sub-30% Romney, and an above-20% Ron Paul. We can do this.

If we do, a *real* two-man race is on. It would become more than just growing a movement.

seriously,

think about it, ron has done no 'worse' than 22%, and romney leads in s.c. with 23%. moneybomb ftw.

anyone notice that ron got

anyone notice that ron got 22% in iowa, 23% in n.h., and romney is leading here at only 23%. a 1% increase from his n.h. numbers could take this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul gets 6.9% from

Paul gets 6.9% from "Republican" voters in this poll. Yikes. Yet he gets almost 30% from independents.

his #'s among repubs seems to

his #'s among repubs seems to spike late in these contests, when they can hear him speak and not just hear hannity and o'reilly smear him. if he garners even 10-15% of republicans, he could snag a win.

I just read an article from

I just read an article from newsmax saying that Gingrich is 'surging' there. Nevermind the fact that the same polling firm in their last poll for SC had Gingrich at 31%

Media will do anything to stop Ron Paul from gaining momentum.

I really hope Perry and/or Huntsman drops out

I really hope Perry and/or Huntsman drops out between now and the 21st.

Not likely, and we don't want that anyway

We want them in to keep Romney below 30%.

Btw, don't be surprised if Romney plummets in the polls over the next week below 20% - he will be taking a massive beating over the air.
