If his books weren't already so highly rated...
...I'd say we should have a Stewart bomb.
Why hurt someone who is asking questions most americans are?
We need to explain better to people/voters who are undecided. Help them connect the dots. Show them how one thing effects the other. Don't write them off so quickly.
Some people understand quickly the theory, others need to see a graph.

The next time Dr. Paul is on his show
he needs to bring Jon a collection of reading material, Bastiat etc. We have to convert this guy sooner or later. Either way, still love me some Daily Show.

Jon
I like Jon but after watching his extended interview with DeMint, Jon is really messed up on what the role of the federal government should be. I like that he looks for the truth and bias in journalism but he really needs to sit down and read and understand the Constitution and the founding of this country.
If the history of man teaches anything, it is that the masses don't answer until a catastrophe is beating down the door.
I wish he had not edited out
I wish he had not edited out the part where he calls Ron Paul a fraud. That was even worse...

Do you have a link to the rest of that discussion? The Original, not Stewart's edit. I'd love to hear what else he says. Thanks.

Too funny!
Too funny!
Jon is hillarious
He gives an honest spin. "you can't just take Ron Paul out - it's physics". The sad thing is that CNBC, FOX, and CNN, and the GOP hacks, all would love to do just that. Rally to the Revolution!

The real story here is that it is evidence that Dr Paul can bring rational thinking people together for the common good!

Enemies of my enemies are my friend
Yup - Jon is a raving socialist(funny how so many rich media people are - dont they know they are allowed to give it all away if they choose) - but as long as he is pointing out crazy talk like "if Ron Paul wasn't in the race - John Huntsman would be second" - he is doing the campaign a service. Someone with some editing skills needs to redo this clip with "And if my aunt had junk she'd be my uncle".
Can't respect Stewart
Saw his interview with Demint, and though I could care less for Demint, Stewart's a flaming socialist whose bleeding heart blinds him to the fallacies of collectivism. When he says that we've got over 300 million people in this country and that it's somehow "foolish" to think that we can go back to the days where small communities took care of the destitute, he shows just how cynical he is, and how little faith he has in his fellow man. He has a disturbing amount of blind faith in the government's ability to provide any service effectively, which it can't because it doesn't have a functioning pricing mechanism (it doesn't have to ever worry about costs, and hence quality, because it can always confiscate more funds, and more funds are always "required"). Now I know why he won't ever have Peter Schiff back on his show.

Keep in mind,
Jon's older brother Larry is the COO of the NYstock exchange! That's on google and thats Big Gov't!

I disagree
What I saw was Jon having a discussion about how he is trying to understand what the role of the federal government is under a Paul Plan.
He brought up many concerns that need to be addressed more indepth. He brought up the concerns of what is holding him back from voting for Ron. He apparently does not like Mitt and is not happy with Obama either.
He is looking for more clarification. The MSM hasn't made any effort to do this. Nor has the MSM given Ron enough time to give much in the way of examples, only sound bites spun to create fear. And Jon is bringing these questions to light. Questions many undecided voters are asking and wondering about.
Jon discussed having concerns for sick people, old people, disabled people, very young people, forgotten people, people who can't or barely can care for themselves.
Will the government help the States help these people?
Will the States have to do it on their own?
Can the States be trusted to do this?
Did the government have to take this on because the States were not doing it well?
With people living pay-check to pay-check, how can they give to charities?
To what degree is the federal government a referee to the States?
He discussed the fear of having private corporations screwing it all up like they are now, like insurance companies for over charging, not paying claims, not allowing people to get insurance.
And asking how will the competition between the States work with using the example of Georgia or Alabama (forget which one) insurance companies. For if one State is cheaper, they would be over burdened because everyone in New York would purchase their cheaper insurance from that State.
The ideas Ron is putting out are NEW to the masses who have for so long not trusted what has been going on. And introducing NEW ideas, something people don't have a clear picture of. Jon was asking for a better, more clear description of how it can work. At least some examples or Modern Day analogies...not examples of the early 1900's.
Don't you see, he's been having mass media discussions with many different people who support Ron's New ideas, and he's sitting in a very influential position and pulling teeth for them to explain it better. And an opportunity for Ron's ideas to be heard by thousands.
Jon is trying to connect the dots.
And take note, he brought up in the discussion of how Ron explained the lobbying, and Jon got it and agreed. He's just asking how these other things can work, with Ron's Plan. And I think many Americans are asking the same questions.
And 60 second answers in the faux debates is not enough time to explain how it can work. Jon is actively reaching out and asking for help to understand. And by doing so, allowing Ron's Plan to take shape in the mind of thousands.
Well, that's what I see. Agree or disagree with my take on it, but don't ignore the fact that many Americans are asking the same questons Jon is.
These questions need to be addressed and Jon showed us they have not been addressed clear enough for many to get a good enough picture, to like or dislike. Making them feel the need to "hold their nose and vote for Mitt or Obama."
Stewart never claimed to be a Ron Paul supporter,
just a defender of those who suffer injustice. Come on, can't we give Jon a little love?
Ron Paul or no one at all.
All I saw during
the discussion with Demint was a bunch of red-herrings, non-sequiturs, straw-men, canards, and all the other logical fallacies you can think of thrown at Capitalism from someone who, from my perspective, wasn't trying to really understand the issue, but merely trying to demagogue it for the sake of his own particular worldview. You're free to disagree with me, but I find Stewart's disingenuousness regarding his supposed "unbiasedness" off-putting. I'm not fooled.
I'm not saying he hasn't been more than fair to Ron personally, but he hasn't been fair to Ron's causes, especially (arguably) one of Ron's most important causes: Capitalism.

I noticed when he was talking
I noticed when he was talking to the judge (Tuesday), he was VERY careful about sounding like he was at all suporting Ron Paul.
Jon knows "I believe", and "he seems" are opinions.
Paul/Napolitano 2012!!
But did you notice?
That in the blurb under the picture of the clip, they did the same thing they have pointed out about the MSM? They blacked out Ron Paul:
Indecision 2012 - New Hampshire Primary Results
Mitt Romney becomes the first Republican non-incumbent to win both Iowa and New Hampshire without being liked by anyone, and Jon Huntsman celebrates his third-place finish.
No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul
I think that's intentional
I think that's intentional and satire.
It's getting to the point
It's getting to the point where it's not only not funny, it's terrifying when I see the tragectory we will follow.
If people don't take responsibility soon America will be no more.

Jon Stewart is Simply Great, but He Needs Some Help
Ron Paul supporters should collect in one place all these scandalous treatments of Ron Paul in media. It might be a good tool for the campaign to pay for broadcasting the video with these moments, in order to expose the media scam to a greater extent and to bring it to the attention of the large number of people who are not well informed. Also, it would be a warning to these corrupted journalists that they are being watched...
