Victory in Iowa - Ron Paul kicks Julie Annie's ass

In a horse race you have "sprinters" and "stayers". Horses that are good over short distances and those that are good over long distances.

In a political race you need strength, determination and PATIENCE

Ron Paul is a "stayer". He is in the race for the long haul. He is not going to "drop out". He is not a quitter. Every freedom fighter will fight to the last man. And Ron Paul is no exception.

Face facts. Iowa is not a "normal" state. And their people do not vote like the rest of the US. What happens in Iowa is NOT representative of what will happen in the rest of the US. (Remember that Pat Robertson placed 1st in Iowa!)

Prejudice and pre-conceived ideas play a big part in Iowa politics.

A large mormon group will always vote #1 Mormon or #2 Conservative. This time they voted mormon.

A large christian group will always vote #1 Christian or #2 Conservative. It is clear from this vote that they do not look too closely at the deeper issues. This time they voted "christian"

The most important concept to understand is that IOWA IS A WELFARE STATE THAT RELIES ON FARM SUBSIDIES. Any politician that threatens that particular "status quo" will not be supported.

Tonight was a great night

Dr. Paul is in double digits

Dr Paul has proved Julie Anie as a vaporware candidate.

Dr Paul is technically tied for 3rd place because the numbers are so close

Dr Paul DID NOT burn alot of money accomplishing this task, he still has his war chest

Dr Paul has received millions of dollars in new publicity by beating the front runner of 2 months ago (Julie Annie) and that WILL help in the next state.

Iowa is a HUGE victory for Dr. Paul

Good insights. Perspective on this is so important. I think we had stars in our eyes, expecting too much given the Iowa reality.
