Do your friends and family know what you know about Ron Paul?
.
Is Dr. Paul confused about that Krauthammer offer?
Charles Krauthammer has called us kooks and worse.
His offer to have Ron Paul speak at the convention is a disingenuous attempt to pull Ron's supporters over to Romney's side after Romney gets the nomination (as envisioned by the FOX media).
Believe me, there is nothing in Dr. Paul's message that Krauthammer cares for.
He's a war-mongering, NEO-CON full-on.
He is all for foreign aid - especially to Israel.
So let's not fall into his trap.
The ONLY reason he "appears" to support anything Dr. Paul stands for is due to Dr. Paul's success and building momentum.
In other words he is scared and since his hate tactics haven't worked in the past, he is turning to a new tactic.
Like we're all supposed to say; "OK Great - If you let Dr. Paul speak at the convention, we'll all go support whoever the RNC shoves down our throats."
The only way Dr. Paul should speak at that convention is IF HE IS THE NOMINEE!
Otherwise they are just using him to try to get OUR support for THEIR nominee.
I'm hoping for a brokered convention - THEN Ron can speak alright!!!
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
I found the Krauthammer article insulting
His comment on Dr. Paul was "I find him a principled, somewhat wacky, highly engaging eccentric"
I found no praise in his article and sent him an email telling him so. I also was insulted that he thought Ron Paul would endorse the eventual real republican nominee.
He is not confused. There is
He is not confused. There is nothing to be gained from not being cordial when an adversary gives a compliment.
Ron Paul's position on Bain is smart...
... attack Romney on the other issues.
Once it's a two man race, Ron Paul will unleash on Mitt, and his ATTACKS WILL BE SEEN WITH AN AIR OF LEGITIMACY SINCE HE DIDN'T TAKE THE BAIT ON BAIN!!!!
Justin Tribble for U.S. Congress in 2014 -- www.justintribble.com
I guarantee BAIN will come up at the MONDAY DEBATE
and Ron needs to make sure he says he 'doesn't know the details and will reserve judgment' until then. He can go on to say that Capitalism, of & by itself, is another matter.
GET THIS TO HEADQUARTERS!! FAST!!
But all that money wasn't enough for Romney! READ THIS.
Romney, as a result, became very, very rich, and owned $3 million home in New Hampshire. He was going to bulldoze his 3,000 sq. foot $12 million home near a San Diego beach and replace it with an 11,000 sq. foot home instead.
His net worth is $264 million. His company BAIN is now worth $65 billion today.
He NEVER CREATED JOBS…..he pumped and dumped. The bulk
of his personal wealth is in “blind trusts” and overseas bank accounts.
He once said, “They just don’t know how jobs are created in the private sector”. Oh, really!
LIsten up! Romney is IN BED WITH WALLSTREET TITANS, and WILL NEVER BE “FOR THE PEOPLE”, and if Ron Paul is seen by the “people” as someone who would endorse what Romney did, that would be VERY bad, and HEADQUARTERS needs to investigate the “details” and THEN, Dr.Paul can decide what he REALLY THINKS about all this crap. I suspect he will not like DDI at all and may even believe Romney committed fraud!
Friends, Americans, Patriots...

I come to bury [Romney], not to praise him."

ROMNEY will be 100% defeated by OBAMA~~with Bain Capital
That's right. I saw "When Romney Comes to Town". Here is the link for the full 30 minute version:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLWnB9FGmWE
Romney will be pulverized in the election, WHICH PROVES IT'S ALL ABOUT THE 2 PARTY, ONE-HEADED SYSTEM, and the likes of KUDLOW, Krauthammer, Levin, all of them, could care less about you & me. They know he'll lose, and they don't care!
Ron Paul may have only "heard" about the video clip. He needs to see it and dig into some of the unanswered questions like what debt exactly did Romney run up is a question I have. What was that all about in the video? But, the overriding point is that Romney was indeed a "vulture", and 2 of these companies may have failed eventually, but it would have been at the hands of a CEO that cared, not a CEO who was bent on taking advantage & profiting by it. THAT is the point of the video. Dr. Paul could NOT condone this in any way, but he needs to separate himself from Romney on Bain Capital and explain the difference between a company naturally dying and the ones Romney went after which is totally different. Romney operated on the tails of the NAFTA & GATT treaties and contributed to ruining what was left of our manufacturing base in America. He is a scoundrel & an opportunist. I cannot stand the man.
Below is a summary of the film:
MARIANNA, FLORIDA & the UNIMAC CORPORATION, LARGEST LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER IN THE NORTHWEST:
BAIN CAPITAL took over UNIMAC, and they forced the workforce to start “cheapening the product” intentionally. What ‘DEBT’ was it the film said he ran up? I don't know. But, Romney called workers, “sloppy & lazy” which smacks of his elitist attitude! Romney slashed paychecks. Then, they shut the doors. It was predestined, imho. Finally, they sold UNIMAC to a Teacher’s Union out of Canada for a huge profit, 230% profit. Hundreds of jobs were lost.
RP would not have done that, if he’d been CEO, which demonstrates ROMNEY'S LACK OF MANAGEMENT BUSINESS SKILLS a s a "CEO". He's no Steve Jobs, that's for sure!
KB TOYS:
Romney bought the 80 year old store in 2000,and loaded it with millions in debt. How did he do that? Then, used the money to repurchase Baine’s stock. The debt was too staggering. By 2004, 365 stores had closed. What a shame. It filed for bankruptcy. Romney called it “creative destruction”. What a jerk. His take? $120 million dollars. “That’s the name of the game—to make a profit”.
15,000 jobs were lost at the expense of Bain Capital’s 900% return on his investment. Disgusting. He was contributing the greatest job loss since WWII.
DDI scheme was FRAUDULENT:
With his Wall Street “connections” at Lehman Brothers, a plan emerged. Bain did an IPO with Lehman Brothers putting out a “buy” rating and would watch investors swarm. 275 people were quickly fired to boost “profits”. DDI’s 12 million share IPO raised a quick $170 million. Investors were suckered into the promise that DDI was headed to become a multi-billion dollar company. Then, instead of sticking with the stock, Bain sold shares after just 6 months making $39 million, then, dumped the rest making $54 million, all the while under the “cover” of the Wall Street banks they hired issuing glowing reports. DDI ended up losing $400 million. After 2 years, the stock was worthless, and they filed for bankruptcy, and over 2,100 jobs were lost. Investors were left with huge losses. Romney lied and said he didn’t have anything to do with it. SEC FILINGS proved otherwise. During the DDI deal, he was listed as a “member of the Management Committee” of Bain Capital with over control of 1.3 million shares of DDI. Employees, creditors, and investors were hurt, but not Romney and Bain made out like bandits!
MARION, INDIANA & AMPAD, a paper company, at several locations:
Employees felt "they had no intention of keeping us", and Romney was the one in charge. Everybody was fired. The plant had been sold numerous times, but they went on the same. Bain Capital destroyed everything they worked for, fired some, issued pay cuts, and hired others. They had a smaller work force which he called “getting back your bait” and ran up extraordinary debt (this part I don’t understand-- What debt?).
In 6 months, over 200 of the employees that Bain had re-hired were fired.
For Romney, it was a score. Romney & Bain made over $100 million from AMPAD.
If he would have wanted to, he could have saved the company. They wanted the machinery and that was it, said the employees. THAT is how Romney made the money, and the allegation is this~~Romney never planned on trying to turn the company around. He saw it as an opportunity to sell it & make a profit, period. Essentially, he ruined the company, SO he COULD make a profit. He didn’t want the company to die naturally, IF it would have, and we don’t know that from the film. Still, I understand where they call this “vulture capitalism”, and THAT is morally wrong.
Mitt, a snake in the grass. He didn't care about saving jobs,
he only cared about putting more money in his pocket and these innocent hard working people paid the price because of Mitt and his greed. If this was Ron Paul, these people would still be working and the businesses would still be operating. No way would Ron Paul have treated these people this way. We cannot allow Mitt to be our next president.
A.Hansen
We have time to get this right
First, this attack ad against Romney will cost him the election. He may buy the party nomination, but there is no way Romney can win the general election now... and the same goes for Ron Paul if he continues to defend what can only be called "the dark side" of capitalism. The fact is, this was not "restructuring" and getting rid of bad debt--this was more akin to war profiteering. Torture is immoral. What Bain Capital did was profit by torturing people--that is the plain and simple truth of the matter.
Second, Ron Paul MUST get on the right-side of this issue if he hopes to win a general election. I know a lot of liberals who voted for Obama who are very unhappy. Right now they are willing to cast a vote for Ron Paul--just look at how he came in second in NH among the Democrats voting in their own parties primary! BUT...there is no way they are going to vote for Ron Paul if he defends Romney on these charges of vulture capitalism. In the general election we must be on the right side of this, and if we are we can win.

Arian Foster one of the Best Backs in the NFL supports Ron Paul. Will somebody post this on the homepage? I think this is huge and will bring a lot of good attention.
Excellent interview
Glad I watched it!
I try not to jump on those not in the business
of communications but if you're on tv, you shouldn't misuse words like 'copiously'. He did not 'copiously' avoid attacking Mitt. He scrupulously did so. Copiously means something along the lines of 'in great quantities'. "She cooked copious amounts of soup for the shelter".
Copiously
"she leaned over and vomited copiously on the floor."

Marginalized GOP Convention questions
Just want to say that the POWER ELITES behind these questions are trying to decide what content they can get away with with Dr. Paul, hence, they are INDIRECTLY writing their own speech.
The idea that Ron is letting them know that he would give a speech there is a way of saying I"ll support your nominee? I don't think that Ron understands Krauthaumer's motive, but you CANNOT TRUST these people. The GOP is ruthless. Romney is a lackey for the RICH FED ELITES, and he's ALREADY doing their bidding in reading a teleprompter. This is a set-up. ANYTHING said at a convention would just be given "lip service" to win the election against Obama & with a target of them salivating over all us supporters, because they know they'd get "some of us", they are underestimating the "us" part, as I know for sure that the largest majority of RP supporters would NEVER vote for Romney this time, so them thinking they can USE PAUL to garnish our votes and to TOLERATE PAUL at the convention~~I don't think so! Ron is better off NOT going to the convention, imho, but I'm sad he said he'd be "very interested in doing it" if he could write the speech. I have no clue why he said that!
It's also another way of CONFIRMING the "NO 3rd Party run", see, which I hope Ron considers even though he's said he doesn't want to do it.
When Kudlow said, "what will it take", Ron should have said, "to pull our ships our of the straights of Hormuth & to not attack innocent families in Iran!"
If Ron were to speak at the Rep. Convention,
If Ron were to speak at the Rep. Convention, he'd get mucho tv coverage. I sure hope he does speak at the convention when he ACCEPTS THE NOMINATION!
Cdp
they will keep asking the third party question
to give "party voters" the idea Ron is not really a republican.
i would like to see Ron say, "why don't you ask newt or the rick twins that question? this republican is winning."
"The two weakest arguments for any issue on the House floor are moral and constitutional"
Ron Paul
I agree but...
...those "party voters" have been manipulated six ways to Sunday and they are starting to wake up to this fact... as amazing as it sounds, I think a lot of them are starting to grow a back bone and actually starting to think for themselves... IF that happens in large numbers (and I did say "if" because it seem unlikely) then we could see "blowback" as large numbers of party faithful wake-up all at once.
The media (people like Chris Matthews) don't ask this question just to discredit Ron Paul among the "party faithful" but also because they would like to see Ron Paul be 'the Ross Perot factor' and split the vote to keep President Zero in power. What they don't want is to see him win this thing on the Republican side--if he does, popularism will sweep this nation like a tsunami and Ron Paul will be the next Commander and Chief. That reality is starting to come in to view, this is no time to talk about giving speeches and writing the stupid party plateform. We need to win this thing and put Dr Paul in the White House. Anything less is unacceptable.

unSpy.info
ASOLUTELY, unSpy is correct!! Get this to HEADQUARTERS!!!
In fairness to Dr. Paul, he did admit he didn't know the "details", and in fairness to Romney, if you look at Wikipedia (which doesn't mention all the bad deals), not all their dealings in the beginning of the history of Bain Capital were bad.
BUT~~~when Bain Capital switched their focus "from startups to the relatively new business of leveraged buyouts", that's when the company ran into some trouble, it seems to me. These buyouts were borrowed against their assets. Bain lost most of their money in these early buyouts. Sometimes, these leveraged buyouts led to layoffs. According to Wikipedia, jobs added or lost were "unknown", due to a "lack of record" and Bain's penchant for privacy on "behalf of itself and its investors". It goes on~~"Bain Capital's acquisition of Ampad exemplified a deal where it profited handsomely from early payments and management fees, even though the subject company itself ended up going into bankruptcy." But, I don't have any more information regarding the "details" of this transaction, or how it happened. But, that's why it's ALL THE MORE IMPORTANT for Dr. Paul to RE-EMPHASIZE that he cannot judge the company transactions, unless he had more information. Then, go on to say capitalism works this way~~
A company by the name of DADE BEHRING was a similar case to the 4 companies in the video. It is mentioned in Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not mention all of them and should have mentioned the DDI IPO scheme that I think was fraudulent.
Somebody needs to get a TIMELINE of all these events & the true details!
But, "unSpy" is 100% right. I BELIEVE that Dr. Paul was trying to defend capitalism in & of itself, defending the right to liquidate assets, if necessary. After all, he's wanting to do that via the Banking Bailout, but there is a BIG DIFFERENCE here. And, Dr. Paul knows it. The Bankers committed fraud and should have gone to trial. They didn't. Romney, although what he did was legal, IT WAS NOT ETHICAL.
So, Dr. Paul needs to get on the right side of this, and differentiate how he views capitalism from what Romney did in these companies. It seems to me that if a CEO "tried" to save a company but couldn't, that THAT is what Dr. Paul is talking about, then that company would fold, and the long-time CEO would sell off the remaining assets. From all that I've read, it appears Romney & Bain identified companies that had enough "worth" to them that they could make a big buck if they sold it, and when there seemed to do everything possible to make a failure come to fruition.
why
i understand Dr. Paul does not like to brag, but he could have mentioned that he gave a house speech about the coming housing and financial bubble in 2002 !!!
and Ben didnt know about it in 2006 !!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWDJEc92d38
great point.
.
Defending Capitalism is one thing~~the DEVIL is in the Details
of it, so to defend capitalism is fine, but Dr. Paul should have resisted defending Romney WITHOUT KNOWING the "details" FIRST. THAT was a MISTAKE, probably encouraged by his staff as a strategy. "Strategies" do not always work, as this proves, especially if the strategy makes you look "compromised" somehow. What the press is doing is "damage control" for Romney, and Dr. Paul played right into it!
And, THAT was the mistake! The "Devil is in the Details" as they say! He could have added that he "had NOT SEEN the "When Romney Came to Town" video on it that's been produced, but that capitalism, when executed properly and ethically, is good, but that other versions of it might not be. So, I would have to reserve judgment about the details of the Bain Capital deals." Romney was criticized as a CORPORATE RAIDER.
Dr. Paul needs to see that video before saying anything else on this matter, imo.
Then, regarding the MARGINALIZED QUESTION~~~all the pundits have been feeling Dr. Paul out. The elites are behind this fielding of questions from the presstitutes. He should be saying, "It's too premature for me to know any of that". Even though I'm 2nd right now, that could all turn around with a major win in California, for example!!
And, if they pressed him with a "what if" question again, he can ALWAYS say, "I will consider that when the time comes, but that's not now". Ron may be too forgiving of the Media, and he must NOT forget that they are his enemy. They could care less about him and will turn on him in a heartbeat! Am I right? :)
vote 100 :-)
Good ol Dr. Paul, speaking truth to power LIKE A BOSS.
"If this mischievous financial policy [greenbacks], which has its origin in North America, should become endurated down to a fixture, then that government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off its debts and be without debts. It will hav
nice detail...
Paul "came in a close 2nd in NH"...
only 2 or 3% behind Romney... :-)
are their little propaganda tricks used against them ? :-)
Yes I caught that comment
and who cares? Perhaps the uninformed masses that still live in denial about the message Ron Paul has will suddenly realize this is the candidate the country needs to even begin to regain accountability. Kudlow did not mention percentages but let's be honest, compared to the '07 primaries Ron Paul is running way "close" to the so called front runner.
Do not assume establishment party officials who say all the right things about conservative principles will do anything differently. This is the battle. Individual liberty demands personal responsibility. - Debra Medina
I know there are a lot of positive comments here but...
I tuned out after RP took the keynote speech bait. This is just the latest alternative to, "are you going to run third party?" Paul knows they're trying to minimize him with these questions, and still responds to them like they're genuine questions. This is ONE good quality those who like Newt point to. He doesn't take BS from the press.
Paul's got to turn the questions back on the interviewer. "What if Iran attacks Israel?" Paul: "Well are you suggesting American kids should be dying for Israel? How many Israelis have died for America?"
I don't think reporters would ask that again.
I have no problem with that
I have no problem with that at all. Even if he were to win the nomination he would be giving a keynote speech. Nothing wrong with that at all, and I'm all for him giving it regardless of the outcome.
Notice you used the word "if"
Just thought that you might like to consider that the IF is so...ify...Would you consider saying: When he wins the nomination..? If suggests so much doubt and when we have doubt we lack faith and trust. It is a mental thing and coincides with teachings within the law of attraction. Sure hope you don't mind the suggestion. Thanks..:)
