Would all the BELLYACHERS Please...
Submitted by idahojoe on Thu, 01/03/2008 - 23:33leave the room, or Shut the F_ _ _ Up!!! Even the blind can spot the FNG's who have neither seen, nor been in a good fight before. All of those who are cryng tonight are Weaklings, or TROLLS. This campaign can suffer Neither.
May I quote Yogi B. please? I don't think I need to. How about "Nuts", or maybe even better, "I have not yet begun to FIGHT!" Yah, I love that one :-) I ran with Ron in '88, and better yet, I survived the Tet Offensive in the Mekong Delta. Now That was a FIGHT!
To those of you who think 'all is lost', you are DEAD WRONG! So, Please, let the real leaders step forth, call the shots, and capitalize on this fantastic DOUBLE-DIGIT Victory, and charge forward to New Hampshire! Zogby was Right - Dr. Roll Paul surprised every, maybe even HIMSELF :-) As they say at the Infantry School, "All those who are Brave, FOLLOW ME!!!"
Cheers, and Congrats Ron Paul!

PS: If it was easy, evrybody would be doing it!

Ron Paul did great
It's basically a 3 way tie for 3rd place. However, if you look at the county results, He came in a clear 3rd in a lot of counties and even 2nd in three counties.
I Flash All The Cranky Hanks Here : )
I work in an office with all Ladies which in itself is stressful. Just imagine the 28 day issues and all the personalities. Then throw in a bunch of Attorneys and Brokers and the phones ringing off the hook, files from floor to ceiling. Personal issues and customer issues all day long. You may think this is silly but in order to break the monotony and regroup real fast we flash each other…mainly the person turning sour. We laugh, and move on to the business at hand. I think we did damn well tonight and I am proud of all our efforts individually and in masses. We are a team! Game on!
What is going on?
I am not a complainer. I understand that Ron Paul did not win tonight. But I do not believe that the vote count is correct. I was watching the live feed on Ron Paul TV before the first precinct reported and Huckabee was showing a 33% lead. Then on Live Voice of the Freedom Message the totals were not adding up. Ron Paul's numbers were higher then televised and the Hucksters were lower then televised, with Romney having more first places in the precincts. The votes were tampered with tonight. I agree that we need to focus on New Hampshire, but a portion of us must not let this go unchallenged. Romney was the one cheating in the straw polls earlier this year, now I think this vote was stolen from him and Ron Paul. Do not forget that Huckabee is the puppet candidate supported with contributions from Clinton cronies so Hillary will have an easy opponent, just like when they ran Bob Dole against Bill. Hillary would win against Huck the smuck. . There is corruption at every level of the political process. Real change can not come without regaining something as fundamental as an accurate vote count.

My belly doesn't ache
...but my ears hurt. I wish you'd go with the flow and leave out the 4 letter words and the ALL CAPS.
I liked the "Cheers" part

The Iowa precincts aren't
The Iowa precincts aren't even all tallied yet. And there was a Huge problem in one of the counties. Tomorrow things will be better. He did good.
This post is an example of why I'm leaving grassroots....
I'm sick and tired of people telling me what I should be doing! That's the reason I like Dr. Paul so much because he doesn't want to do that.
I come here or ronpaulforums and have all these people telling me what to do.
Before I change my mind, I'll just quit visiting these sites and do my own work and let you guys hash it out.
I'll buy or make my own signs, donate everything I can, and talk to as many people as possible. I seriously think some of y'all are hurting the campaign very badly. I've been told that I wouldn't be missed, but we need every single vote.
We've turned into a huge disorganized mess and it shows. I'm getting away from it now and supporting the official campaign.
The original beauty of the movement has become the downfall. I hope it won't continue.
Good luck!

I never had a hero as a child. I've never had a hero as an adult. At 45 years of age I finally have a hero, and his name is Ron Paul.
Please don't go away mad
And whatever you do, please try to have fun doing it. It's no good being upset over this.
One of the things about freedom is that people rarely do what anyone wishes they would. And organization is not really what this campaign has been about.
Hope you'll stick around

Aww, Sour Grapes!
Too much of that tough EVOL!
Your solitary acts of support *ARE* the campaign. Keep up the good work!

RON PAUL 2012
Thanks!
Ron Paul is the only reason my whole family hasn't been able to vote straight dem ticket for years. He's my congressman here in district 14 in Texas. I've been voting for him since I was 18 or so. I'm 45 now... LOL.
There is no way in hell that I'll give up, too much emotion to express, and I'll fight tooth and nail to the bitter end. Here in Texas though, you can run for congress and president at the same time. I want to make damn sure he gets elected to at least one office! ;-)
Everyone needs to be on the same page when it comes to info, and I think it's time to start respecting all of our opinions rather than posting that some of us should stop "bellyaching".
Yes Sleepdog, my support helps, and our solidarity with the 12/16 moneybomb was fantastic. What happened since that has disturbed me greatly. Too many side projects to support, people finacally tapped-out due to the holidays, flip-flopping media support...etc. The last thing we need is people isolating supporters due to any of these consequenses.
I'm totally finished with RonPaulForums. I may be done here, but you guys seem a lot nicer and don't seem to send me hate mail.
Thanks for your continued support of my beloved congressman, Dr. Ron Paul.

Right on
Preach it, idahojoe! Seriously people, is this your first election?? Oh, it is. Well then, stop being so critical.
This is one state out of many. Keep your eye on the prize and keep the momentum going. It's not about polls or any of that crap. Fred Thompson did well because he got momentum, but it is temporary. Ron Paul has long term momentum. The longer he is in it, the more his numbers will go up. If you look at any of the charts on real clear politics you can see the long term growth. Keep converting your family, friends and neighbors and pay no attention to a very limited number of people in the VERY first state to have results. Cmon, he trounced frontrunner Rudy! Be not discouraged, but march on for the revolution.
We're in 5th place, I wouldn't throw any body overboard,
politics is a brutal business, and you'ld better have strong people in your corner.........as much as I admire Ron Paul, we're weak in the corner. Rudy didn't even come to Iowa.........and Rudy didn't raise any money in Iowa.....so go figure

Right On Idahojoe...Throw the bellyachers OVERBOARD..Dump em
You are right on pal. It is time to get the adrenaline up and fight for our lives man
I don't think you like
I don't think you like people who are legitimately concerned about our movement falling off the table. The process is front loaded. If we can somehow move up to fourth or tie for third, that'd be decent but we need a solo third or higher soon to keep the ball rolling. The longer the good doctor is a legitimate player in this race, the more our message will get out. We need to make a major splash. I mean Earth scattering. Raising 20 million in a day would do that and would allow the good doctor to launch a MAJOR offensive with ads. Name exposure is what we need. Sure we all know the good doctor. Most people who care about politics do. But does the average American? That is my concern.
You Totally missed the point...
Good God Sir, Maam, or whatever - this is round ONE!!!!! Not THE END by a long shot! Not a single one of all the booooo hoooooers appear to realize this. Front-loaded, my foot! With maximum efffort, will get what the times will give us, nothing more. The 'Good Doctor' has been in this fight for well mover 20 years! He never once thought all is lost. If you do, then by all means, please QUIT! The negativity is an infectious DISEASE that will spread like the plague and kill this campaign faster than ANYTHING. So go write something Positive! even if you don't believe it! It's called MOTIVATION.
Half-right / half-wrong
Dear Idahojoe and Ohioanforpaul: You're both half-right and half-wrong.
Idaho: Yes, we didn't do badly considering all the odds stacked against us, indeed we did quite decently all things considered. But we didn't do as well as we needed to do to WIN. Winston Churchill said, "It's not enough to do your best; it's enough to do what's enough." We made some serious tactical and strategic mistakes in Iowa (I'd be glad to discuss them in Private--online I'd just get flamed as a Troll); we need to analyze them before we charge ahead and correct our course if need be. Then, yes-- we need to charge ahead..but not damning the torpedos, dodging them.
Ohio: An awful lot of people are bewailing the end of the world because we didn't win in Iowa; there were a lot of unrealistic expectations by a lot of people. And even more are saying that if we don't do a lot better in NH it's the END. Not true on either count. Two battles but not the war--not by a long shot. I don't think our campaign is falling off the table; but I agree we need to take a good hard look at where we're going and what we're doing.
"If you keep on doing the same old thing, you'll keep on getting the same old results."
So--let's fight harder AND smarter. Shake hands and make up, okay?
salt-of-the-earth
Nobody is being flamed as a troll for behaving in crisis mode
We were all expecting that the polls were off by half or two thirds. Most of us expected 14% or 15% in Iowa.
But the polls were dead on...at least the Des Moine Register one and the AMR one.
The very knowledge that the polls are basically correct is a shock.
That is soberingly serious. It means that we probably really are at 8% in New Hampshire and will stay there if we continue to be a one trick pony about the war and dismantling the entire empire seemingly all at once.
My suggestion is to talk more about Internet regulation and specific losses of rights at home...along with the discussion of natural law vs positivism. Everyone knows Ron Paul's anti-war attitude. No reason to push that more at the expense of other issues.
I am a Disabled American Veteran
All of the others do Nothing for VA, etc... Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who speaks up in support of taking care of the troops.
The others TALK"support the troops"...right... what about AFTER they return injured and get benefits cut, and jerked around?
I am upset, yes.
We all thought these polls were rigged....but looks like 1-2 were correct, unfortunately.
All I can say is I hope the NH people actually show up and vote next week(and not just on AOL polls online).
I know if RP is still doing well enough and running in March... I'll vote. If Ohio makes internet claims of 50,000 RP voters in Ohio(for sure, meet ups, for example) and only 8,000 show up... I expect to get bashed, and Ohioans for Ron Paul(who did not do their part , in awy way, shape or form) deserve a good internet "smack" upside the head.
DAV signing off for tonight.
