Video: CNN reporter Dana Bash gets "Snowballed" by Ron Paul supporters

Here's our video of CNN reporter Dana Bash receiving some choice words from supporters after the primary rally on January 10th in NH. Perhaps Ms. Bash should have taken notes from Sean Hannity before maligning the good doctor:

when you are WAY outside the

when you are WAY outside the group, it shows your intentions are not that of Ron Paul. If Ron Paul thought the SB's were not good or the campaign could do it better Ron would take care of the problem. So instead of offering your opinion and wasting time here why are you not volunteering as a RP precinct captain? are running for a delegate position? are you calling people from home? I doubt it. You earn the right to criticise..

thanks for your perspective

People talk about the echo-chamber of Republican and liberal blogs. That infinite affirmation isn't the type of debate society I see the Ron Paul movement as.

Well thought out, sourced arguments are good and we shouldn't label people "trolls" just because they have new accounts and offer diverging opinions.

Bash is probably barely aware of her bias, she of course disagrees with Ron and then uses provocative questions to make entertaining TV news. Dumb not evil. We should kill them with kindness (it can be hard though).

Check out http://ronpaulforums.com for activism and news.

because some here are more interested in vengance

than in getting RP elected. As you pointed out, shit like this in no way helps RP get elected, if anything it turns off potential voters who do not want to be associated with a group which acts this way. But that is lost on fairly good percentage of RP supporters.

As to the super brochures - I personally would have written them slightly differently but I don't find the content to be so off as to be objectionable. However I do worry that ultimately the cost will be considered a contribution to the campaign and will need to be accounted for by them which may result in substantial headaches if they are required to determine who contributed and if they have already reached their limits.

This is true. Personally,

This is true.

Personally, I've yelled and swore at the TV many times. This stuff can get very emotional and that can easily snowball into angry rants or worse. I've succumbed to it a few times myself.

One thing that is always helpful to keep in mind is that there are likely many, many brand new or potential Ron Paul supporters reading this forum all the time. From young adults to senior citizens. It is not a private chat room where you can rant to all your friends. Every one of these threads reflect on Ron Paul supporters as a group and also Ron Paul himself.

Think about it. Are you helping Ron Paul get new supporters or are you fueling a nasty and divisive sentiment?

She needs to eat something.

She needs to eat something. She is like the Crypt Keeper. We could make her eat her own words if she just admitted what she said.

If you walk blindly through life, you will run into a lot of walls.

Yeah...NO, personal opinion.

Yeah...NO, personal opinion. Free country, at last checking. (Maybe not for much longer though)

Wow. Dana gets "snowballed"

Wow. Dana gets "snowballed" alright. This doesn't have to happen, Dana, if you just stay TRULY objective, and speak the truth.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Hat Tip!

This kind of 'blowback' is what forces these so called journalist to think before they open their mouths next time around.

No accountability by the people is what encourages these people to continue with their lies and misinformation and slander.

When a bully goes unchecked, he/she continues to bully. When one day that bully is confronted by 50 kids on the playground and warned to stop, that bully thinks twice before he/she bullies again.

When they know in the back of their head that if they step over the line and treat candidates wrongly, their supporters will 'snowball' the living hell out of them via emails, phone calls, blog/forum posts, and last but not least "IN YOUR FACE ENCOUNTERS" by angry supporters, they tend to keep their nonsense in check.

We need more of this!

First off, I would hardly

First off, I would hardly call this 'keeping in check'.

And second, LOOK AT WHAT YOU'RE SUGGESTING!

You want to REGULATE something you don't like?? Through intimidation nonetheless...

This fake accusation of what she said is being used like a False Flag.

DAILY PAUL BOARD GETS SNOWBALLED

by the fact that she didn't say that shit.

Sooo many legit instances of bias.

Don't continue with this lie.

did not say what

i seen the video where she said she was worried about ron paul winning, so i hope that is not what you are talking about

She didn't say that stuff. It

She didn't say that stuff.

It was a grammatically ambiguous sentence.

Why do we not consider blowback from these such obviously false accusations?

OK, this needs to STOP. What

OK, this needs to STOP.

What do you people think you are going to achieve by this?

Mods, you need to stop this craziness. This is a major distraction.

I've posted this many many times and I will keep posting it despite the trolls looking for controversy.

As far as her "just like I am" comment. Get real. It was very poor wording. She's not concerned about Ron Paul. She's concerned about her own career and getting the scoop.

"...Ah but in terms of the long term, there is no question... I'm sure you have talked to Republicans who are worried, as well -just like I am, uh that Ron Paul will continue on, long into the spring and summer..."

She is, not-so-clearly, trying to say that John King has talked to Republicans just like she is doing and heard the same sentiment.

Let me rearrange her mess of a sentence so maybe rational people might see this from another much more probable angle:

"...Ah but in terms of the long term, there is no question... I'm sure you have talked to Republicans, as well -just like I am, uh who are worried that Ron Paul will continue on, long into the spring and summer..."

People wake up and stop obsessing over this stuff. There are intentional smears and then there are just plain mistakes.

Stop posting new topics about this crap. Attacking this CNN anchor is only going to hurt Ron Paul. Do something productive.

Dude, sorry, I don't agree with you

If she was trying to say that she has ALSO talked to worried Republicans, she would've said "Just like I HAVE". Instead, she said "Just like I AM", which means she was referring to the state of being worried, like said Republicans.

She's a professional journalist, there's no way this was a case of mistaken grammar.

Yes. I actually do

Yes. I actually do understand proper grammar.

I'm not sure why you think that I was trying to argue that her words were formed in a perfect English sentence.

You do realize that people make mistakes, right? Hard to believe sometimes, but reporters are people.

Look, I don't like this woman. But there is a more than reasonable argument that she just misspoke. Let it go.

look red dot

thanks for your attempts to bring in a bit of reason, but you commenting on everyones stuff telling them how they should say things is the wrong attitude here buddy, if we dislike her and call her out then so be it. she got called out, she said those things and people responded if you think the world is gonna change with out some headfront confrontation you are very sadly mistaken. you do what you do and ill do what i do. please dont make me waste my time writing another rebuttal. And i dont care if you think she misspoke she didn't, did you think santouroum misspoke when he said black people? i didnt buy that one either

If people are going to

If people are going to promote their own beliefs that the woman intentionally put her own opinion into a news story, I'm going to promote what I think is a rational point of view.

Would you care to explain why this "montage" video starts half-way through Dana's first sentence?

http://www.dailypaul.com/202865/crazy-cnn-reporter-dana-bash...

"[Some Republicans out there have been saying that] Ron Paul would be very dangerous for this country because he wants to bring troops like you back from your post from all over the world."

Why did the author of that video chop of the first bit?

In that same video, why keep repeating

"...who are worried as well, just like I am"

without the first part of that sentence which says

"I'm sure you've been talking to Republicans..."

I know you don't care what I think, but perhaps some other people might give pause and consider this propaganda for what it is. For people that scream bloody murder when the press takes something Ron Paul out of context, this kind of stuff sure is concerning and disheartening.

Anybody that is fueling this fire is only hurting the campaign and distracting energy from more positive efforts.

That wasn't quite the explanation I was looking for. You revel in your anger and your negativity is toxic.

I do like the video. But I've

I do like the video.

But I've been looking things up about Ron Paul on youtube and news articles, and every comment is something about a conspiracy against Paul, and then a personal attack.

If I wasn't already a Paul supporter, this stuff would keep me from learning more about him.

I'm not doubting there's a bias against him.

But why pick these losing battles, when she simply didn't say those words?

Absolutely. People, get a

Absolutely. People, get a grip. This kind of stuff is only going to antagonize the media more. She did not say she was worried about Ron Paul getting the nomination. The more Ron Paul supporters attack her for that, the more she is going to get defensive and the worse relationship we are going to have with CNN and her husband John King.

Don't go making enemies. You are hurting the campaign.

If you want to talk to her and make suggestions that she have better questions, then OK, but don't accuse her of openly wishing for Ron Paul to fail. Didn't happen.

SteveMT's picture

The media are already antagonized maximally.

This story has to do with accountability in the media.

I absolutely loved that

Had to watch it twice. Amazing.

"A living Constitution is a dead one" -Ron Paul

I don't care if its a good

I don't care if its a good political move or not. I care that our supporters are out there defending the integrity of Dr. Paul.

"Quod scripsi scripsi."

Let's defend our integrity

right into obscurity.

The only way to stop this stuff is to win the 'politics' game.

Defend integrity by standing by the fact that she didn't say it.
