there was a long line of people waiting for the chance to shake the doctor's hand. I walked right up and shook Jesse's hand because I'd seen signs that he was doing a good job this campaign. I thought a little recognition wouldn't hurt. (I had already shaken Paul's hand some 23 years earlier.)
