Big Announcement Today!

The event will take place on Sunday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Palisades Conference Center. Event details are here.

From Dr. Paul's email yesterday...

"The South Carolina Republican Primary is just one week from today.

Coming off my strong finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, recent South Carolina polls show I’ve surged into third place and am rising.

And tomorrow in Myrtle Beach, I’m hosting a rally, where I’ll be making a MAJOR campaign announcement that’s sure to rock the political establishment and boost me even further in the polls.

Can I count on you to be there?

You see, just four years ago, I was polling in the low single digits in South Carolina.

Today, I’m now a top contender to WIN the Republican nomination.

But unlike other candidates and politicians, my message hasn’t changed one bit.

I’ve stayed true to the Founding principles of individual liberty, free markets, sound money, and constitutional government.

The difference today is that the American people have had enough.

They’re sick and tired of the out-of-control spending, never-ending bailouts, and massive deficits coming out of Washington, D.C.

They’re looking for someone they can trust to put an end to the Big Government, big spending status quo.

And that’s what I’ve been fighting for during my time in Congress.

I’m the ONLY candidate offering a serious plan to cut spending.

My Plan to Restore America cuts one TRILLION dollars during the first year of my presidency by eliminating five unconstitutional federal agencies, and it balances the budget by my third year.

As more and more Americans realize I’m the only tried-and-true constitutional conservative in this race, my campaign will continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me tomorrow in Myrtle Beach for a MAJOR campaign announcement.

The campaign announcement I’m making will take place at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and Conference Center, located at 10000 Beach Club Drive in Myrtle Beach.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the rally begins at 6:00 p.m.

You can get directions HERE.

Tomorrow night’s rally and announcement are something you don’t want to miss.

I hope to see you there.

Together, you and I can Restore America NOW!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul"

Yes, Dr. Paul...I'll be there.

RP tomorrow

Does anyone know where RP will be speaking tomorrow? I would like to go see him.

Jon Huntsman

Just DROPPED OUT of the race!

Spread the news!

Cracking up at the Fark headline

Fark.com's headline re: Huntsman's withdrawal:

Jon Huntsman drops out of GOP race, disappointing his supporter.

Check this out lol

And as recently as Saturday, Huntsman was questioning Romney’s electability.

Reporters asked Huntsman if any of the Republican establishment had reached out to him and asked him to tone down his criticism of Romney and his work with Bain Capital. Huntsman explained: “Nope. And listen. I have said what I have said. My problem is really a political issue. And that is, when you have a candidate that talks about enjoyment in firing people, talks about pink-slips, who makes a comment that seem to be so detached from the problems that Americans are facing today, that makes you pretty much unelectable. And I say, we want a nominee who can actually go on to win. That’s the issue … the bigger issue is one of electability.”

He's been trashing the guy on his character and electability yet can find it in himself to back him.

Ohhhh Huntsman lol.. What a clown.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

We need video of that.

It can basically be the same Serial Hypocrite theme, if we did an ad - flippity floppity. How about someone that is consistent, Ron Paul.

RP endorsement

How can it be newsworthy that someone get an endorsement from a nobody Todd Palin, but NOT newsworthy tog et one from this senator. THIS IS BULLSHIT!

YeaH, CNN will put

the Bunny Ranch people on TV, but not anyone who doesn't fit the media's caricature of a Paul supporter. So sick of these jerks!

I think this is fantastic!

Great news! :-)

Tom Davis Endorsement

These quotes go to show what a big deal this endorsement is from Tom Davis, SC State Senator. The below is quoted from here: http://americanvisionnews.com/1231/coveted-sc-endorsement-to...

“To get an endorsement from someone like Tom Davis is a big deal,” said former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, who announced a White House bid in June. “It would speak volumes to folks and make them take notice and give us a look.”

Despite spending much less than Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum on SC campaign ads, Paul has seen a recent—and some have thought unlikely–surge in SC polls.

Davis’ endorsement will likely add “volumes” to that momentum.

And tomorrow Rick Santorum

And tomorrow Rick Santorum will be heard saying, "Tom Davis' endorsement is meaningless!"

He can say that all he wants.

He can say that all he wants. It still doesn't change the fact that ole' frothy face had his own liver for dinner tonight. Ahahahaha!

Media blackout of RP's Tom Davis endorsement!! WOW....

Tried for hours to get live video footage of the Tom Davis endorsement. No coverage by MSM (Mainstream Media) is not surprising but a special shame on C-span to have not covered this on any 3 of their channels!! I only hope RP supporters can come up with their on live streaming site to bypass the blackout and provide their own coverage!!

c-span radio all romney coverage

It's one thing to not cover Ron Paul. It's another thing to cover a Romney rally and give it tons of airtime on Cspan radio. But they gave the romney rally double coverage. They ran the audio from the rally and then ran it again. I was pissed. How is it possible that one candidate gets all that coverage?!?

Because Huntsman endorsed him,

he is now "entitled" to twice the coverage. Wait til the next debate... you'll see the Mitt Romney Hour.

big Moneybomb bump?

Is it big enough to bump the moneybomb? I don't see it happening yet. Not much coverage so far in MSM (no surprise)

Statement from Sen. Tom Davis

"It's easy to campaign on lower taxes, less spending and fewer regulations -- it's another thing entirely to stand up for these limited government principles when the entire Washington establishment is aligned against you. Yet for more than three decades Ron Paul has cast thousands of lonely votes in our nation's capital based on the constitutional principles that this country was founded on -- and that the Republican Party has promised to protect. Yet while generations of politicians -- including far too many Republicans -- were losing their way or caving to the status quo, Ron Paul was standing as a Tea Party of one against a towering wave of red ink.

"2012 marks the fifth consecutive year in which the federal government is going to spend well over $1 trillion in money it doesn't have. Each and every American taxpayer is now on the hook for $135,000 worth of federal debt -- and last year's debt deal adds another $7 trillion in deficit spending over the coming decade. Meanwhile the U.S. Senate hasn't passed a budget in nearly 1,000 days.

"I'm endorsing Ron Paul because enough is enough. Despite this wave of unprecedented government spending, our unemployment rate has remained above 8 percent for the last 34 months and 146.4 million Americans -- one out of every two people in this country -- are now classified as poor or low-income.

"Government activism and government intervention clearly hasn't fixed our economy -- which is why the Republican Party needs a nominee who isn't wedded to that failed approach. We won't chart a path to fiscal solvency or victory in November by running toward the failed ideas of the left -- we will achieve those victories by returning to the principles that the Republican Party once stood for.

"That is why I am proud to endorse Ron Paul for president.

"Ron Paul's record matches his rhetoric, his fiscal plan matches the fiscal challenges that our nation is facing and his movement represents the taxpayers whose interests have been ignored in the political process for far too long.

"I'm also endorsing him because unlike what the pundits have led you to believe, he is the candidate who gives the Republican Party the best chance to beat Barack Obama in November.

"We have a choice: We can keep electing candidates who talk about change only during political campaigns as a way to get elected, or we can finally elect a candidate who will walk the walk and make that change a reality -- restoring our bottom line, our individual liberties and our national pride in the process."

Sleep, those little slices of death; Oh how I loathe them.

Wow ! ! !

That was a great speech. It will be interesting to see how MSM deals with this. I suspect downplaying and avoidance will be their choice

Awesome!

Boo Yah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron Paul 2012!

Only $1.2M; PLEASE fund this rEVOLution if you have not yet!

Moneybomb now. Even if it's $10, please give NOW! We need to WIN South Carolina!

OMG

I just checked out Sen Davis FB page. He looks like the actor Bill Pullman's twin. Bill Pullman is the one that played the US president in the movie Independence Day.

Hmm, could he possibly be RP's pick for VP?

Not to rain on a parade or

Not to rain on a parade or anything but I'm just confused as to why this is so "BIG." Is Sen Davis THAT influential? Just when you hear the phrase, "game changer" you get incredibly excited. Maybe myrtle can explain or someone else from SC? Is this guy big there or something?

Read this.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

B-cuz

None of the other chicken st&&6646s senators in the USA
have the stones to stand up and support him. He has the cajones to stand up at all and furthermore to be the first...I hope this starts an AVALANCE of support from the others.

Am I missing something here?

Am I missing something here? Davis is a STATE senator, not US Senator. He got state congressional endorsements in both Iowa and NH too. Why is this one any bigger than those? I'm not from SC so maybe he's a big shot there or something. I'm just looking to know what makes this one special enough to call it a "game changer."
