Big Announcement Today!

The event will take place on Sunday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Palisades Conference Center. Event details are here.

From Dr. Paul's email yesterday...

"The South Carolina Republican Primary is just one week from today.

Coming off my strong finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, recent South Carolina polls show I’ve surged into third place and am rising.

And tomorrow in Myrtle Beach, I’m hosting a rally, where I’ll be making a MAJOR campaign announcement that’s sure to rock the political establishment and boost me even further in the polls.

Can I count on you to be there?

You see, just four years ago, I was polling in the low single digits in South Carolina.

Today, I’m now a top contender to WIN the Republican nomination.

But unlike other candidates and politicians, my message hasn’t changed one bit.

I’ve stayed true to the Founding principles of individual liberty, free markets, sound money, and constitutional government.

The difference today is that the American people have had enough.

They’re sick and tired of the out-of-control spending, never-ending bailouts, and massive deficits coming out of Washington, D.C.

They’re looking for someone they can trust to put an end to the Big Government, big spending status quo.

And that’s what I’ve been fighting for during my time in Congress.

I’m the ONLY candidate offering a serious plan to cut spending.

My Plan to Restore America cuts one TRILLION dollars during the first year of my presidency by eliminating five unconstitutional federal agencies, and it balances the budget by my third year.

As more and more Americans realize I’m the only tried-and-true constitutional conservative in this race, my campaign will continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me tomorrow in Myrtle Beach for a MAJOR campaign announcement.

The campaign announcement I’m making will take place at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and Conference Center, located at 10000 Beach Club Drive in Myrtle Beach.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the rally begins at 6:00 p.m.

You can get directions HERE.

Tomorrow night’s rally and announcement are something you don’t want to miss.

I hope to see you there.

Together, you and I can Restore America NOW!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul"

Yes, Dr. Paul...I'll be there.

Re Rally

Anyone know if the rally is being streamed live today?

Heh. Not holding my breath.

Heh. Not holding my breath. These BIG campaign announcements in the past were always anti-climaxical to me. If this is different, will be a big surprise. I am hoping it is that some billionaire has come forth to donate..

Jim Rogers.....

the ONLY billionaire investment mogul I'd have no problem with the campaign taking a BIG donation from!

Jim Rogers would be good but

It wouldn't be a GAME changer.

Jim Rogers Needs to Donate!

If Jim Rogers gave $10 Million to Ron Paul Super Pac, then yaah, it would defintely be a game changer.

We should all Petition Jim Rogers to put his money where his mouth is and help safe this country!

Priniciple over Party!

I think endorsements are a

I think endorsements are a bit overrated. I don't know how much they help. In RP's case they might be helpful in giving those old standard GOPer's a little push if they were hesitant or uncomfortable about voting for RP.

I don't see how a state senator's endorsement is 'gamechanging'. I understand they are trying to get some momentum going, but other major campaign announcements have included releasing new tv ads, so I share your sentiment to some degree.

The term 'game-changing' is used all too often these days. If it's just the State Senator Tom Davis, that will be very disappointing. My #1 prediction is Mark Sanford, #2 Tom DeMint, #3 Sarah Palin.

Who Knows ...

A Tom Davis endorsement might be a big deal in SC, though from outside it looks like a big "so what?" I live next door in NC, but I draw a blank on most of SC politics (other than that Lindsey Graham is a big jerk).

Nikki Haley already endorsed Romney. Not surprising, but I was disappointed -- I kind of liked her.

Wishful thinking...

DeMint- ain't gonna happen. Palin- ain't gonna happen. Cain- totally (c)ain't gonna happen. I, like many of you, am a little gun shy when it comes to these "big announcements." They've been anti-climactic in the past. However, it's nice to anticipate!

Jim DeMint? US Senator from

Jim DeMint? US Senator from SC?

Yes, Jim. Sorry. Or Tim

Yes, Jim. Sorry. Or Tim Scott.

Davis needs to make a forceful speech urging conservatives to un

ite behind Paul. The others have no chance. They don't have the money, resources or enthusiasm.....

Ron Paul'08

I'm still wating for...

...Jim Rodgers of Rodgers Holdings to throw more than his support to Dr. Paul, how about some CASH...

"No army can stop an idea whose time has come"

Anyone know if there is going

Anyone know if there is going to be a live feed for the event?

That's what I wanna know too

Can anybody supply a live feed from tonights event?

Guessing Cain for Santorum

Im guessing he will endorse Santorum to try to take votes away from Paul.

This info needs to get picked up:
google : Santorum eradicate Islam (his words)

How is Santorum endorsement "unconventional"?

How is a Santorum endorsement (in Cain's own words)
an "unconventioaal endorsement"?

At this point...

I think people consider anyone who isn't Romney 'unconventional.' Who knows, maybe Cain will endorse Buddy Roemer(sp?).Haha. However, I think it will be Santorum. Just a hunch.

Just watch, Herman Cain's

Just watch, Herman Cain's "unconventional endorsement" will be to Newt Gingrich. How unconventional.

He is going to say he endorses any candidate who will support his nein-nein-nein plan.

That's right.
Newt is conventional.
Perry is conventional.
Santorum is conventional.
Romney is conventional.

From thehill.com,,,Herman says NO to Paul

Cain will not endorse Paul or Perry
By Justin Sink - 12/20/11 12:13 PM ET

Former Republican frontrunner Herman Cain said Tuesday that he was still mulling whom to endorse for the GOP nomination, but ruled out Ron Paul and Rick Perry in an interview with the National Review.

“I would definitely not endorse Ron Paul or Rick Perry,” Cain said. “It’s nothing personal, we’re just too far apart in terms of our ideas.”

Gold. Guns. Girls.

What Ideas?

I never saw any real Ideas ! A VAT and a whole lot of "jive" talking is what i saw. The guy didn't have any ideas and totally danced around the questions when asked about his "Ideas" lol Cain will endorse Frothy ...

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

that's because

Paul and Perry both want to fight against his precious federal reserve. The only reason he even got that position was because Citibank propelled him to that spot to pay back/benefit citibank the 30 million dollar loan he got for Godfather's Pizza.

I suspect when Perry drops out, he might dare to endorse Ron Paul. Perry gave him credit for opening his eyes on some things, especially the federal reserve and if he sees it as a major issue, I hope he will endorse Paul. Plus, they're both Texans.

From a former Texan...

From a former Texan that lived near Paul's district most of my adult life before moving to San Francisco...Perry will NOT endorse Paul. Perry is is a Karl Rove created monster (Perry was a Gore loving Democrat when Rove injected him with his vile DNA and spawned Perry) that is about as "establishment" as they come. Perry repeatedly with the evil Rove came into the good Dr.'s district and majorly helped out primary opponents of Dr. Paul's.

He might have said "no" then but this is NOW

He might have said "no" then, but this is NOW.
Rick Perry, Huntsman, Santorum missed being on all
the state ballots.

Hermann is not going to waste is vote. Hermann is a
practical guy. He is focused on NO MORE OBAMA.

It is either Romney (Mr. Conventional) or
someone else who is UNCONVENTIIONAL.

C'MON----WHO can that be?

Anyone who used to work for

Anyone who used to work for the fed is not going to support someone who wants to end the fed.

Moreover, anyone with any

Moreover, anyone with any political ambitions at all will never endorse Establishment Enemy #1, Ron Paul.
