Big Announcement Today!

The event will take place on Sunday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Palisades Conference Center. Event details are here.

From Dr. Paul's email yesterday...

"The South Carolina Republican Primary is just one week from today.

Coming off my strong finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, recent South Carolina polls show I’ve surged into third place and am rising.

And tomorrow in Myrtle Beach, I’m hosting a rally, where I’ll be making a MAJOR campaign announcement that’s sure to rock the political establishment and boost me even further in the polls.

Can I count on you to be there?

You see, just four years ago, I was polling in the low single digits in South Carolina.

Today, I’m now a top contender to WIN the Republican nomination.

But unlike other candidates and politicians, my message hasn’t changed one bit.

I’ve stayed true to the Founding principles of individual liberty, free markets, sound money, and constitutional government.

The difference today is that the American people have had enough.

They’re sick and tired of the out-of-control spending, never-ending bailouts, and massive deficits coming out of Washington, D.C.

They’re looking for someone they can trust to put an end to the Big Government, big spending status quo.

And that’s what I’ve been fighting for during my time in Congress.

I’m the ONLY candidate offering a serious plan to cut spending.

My Plan to Restore America cuts one TRILLION dollars during the first year of my presidency by eliminating five unconstitutional federal agencies, and it balances the budget by my third year.

As more and more Americans realize I’m the only tried-and-true constitutional conservative in this race, my campaign will continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me tomorrow in Myrtle Beach for a MAJOR campaign announcement.

The campaign announcement I’m making will take place at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and Conference Center, located at 10000 Beach Club Drive in Myrtle Beach.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the rally begins at 6:00 p.m.

You can get directions HERE.

Tomorrow night’s rally and announcement are something you don’t want to miss.

I hope to see you there.

Together, you and I can Restore America NOW!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul"

Yes, Dr. Paul...I'll be there.

Yep, and it says nothing

Yep, and it says nothing about 2 announcements sooo... :-)

It's a game changer for the SC primary...!

I hope Dr. Paul has

I hope Dr. Paul has protection because people could get crazy down the road. Don't want to believe it in America but the elite do not want to give up power.

Agreed I'm tempted to send

Agreed I'm tempted to send him some Kevlar.

What The Heck Is Wrong With You People?

Stop guessing who it's going to be already. It was announced YESTERDAY that Tom Davis was going to endorse Ron Paul. Tom Davis will make it "official' at the rally while standing next to Ron Paul.

Once again....for those with reading comprehension problems.....The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul...........

Let's say it out loud together....cmon everyone......

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul........

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul.........

One more time........

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul

Isn't Ron at home

In Texas? If not why wasn't he at Convention with everyone else yesterday?

The Announcement will be that

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul........

WAIT! Was that Tom Davis or Jim Demint? THIS IS TOO HARD!

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul...

The Announcement will be that Tom Davis has endorsed Dr. Paul.........

It will be Sen Tom Coburn

oh wait, not Oklahoma yet

I don't trust Coburn.

He get some things ok, but he doesn't convince me.
After he was REALLY active in trying to force the HK products into the military to replace the M4, I knew he was bought.

To be fair

It was only "speculation" and "Tom Davis" never personally announced the candidate (just made it incredibly obvious), just the location (which is the same as Paul).

I think the reason people are hoping for bigger is because CNN, MSDNC, and FAUX will go - "WHO? This is game changing? Never heard of Tom Davis."

Could it be Gary Johnson or Chuck Baldwin. I do not think it would be DeMint. Not paying attention to civil liberties by voting for the Patriot Act and the NDAA is not what we want. Demint could betray Paul very easily for the sake of the Republican party. This blind allegiance to the party is what created our current mess in the first place. If DeMint is pandering to Dr Paul, then later gives him up for Mitt Romney, a lesson will be subtly given again that Ron Paul is not electable. Look, we can always write in Ron Paul. No third party necessary. Keep in mind..there would be no difference among the other Republican candidates...and our current President. So why throw your lot with a Romney or Gingrich, or Santorum? If you vote for the lesser of two evils long enough what you get, in the end, is total evil.

Against the rules

There is a rule against announcing a running mate before the national convention.

DeMint voted no on final...

...NDAA bill. I think he voted yes on an earlier version, which is causing confusion?

Too early for VP?

Too early for VP?

I suspect

I suspect he will be announcing his VP !!!!

Wonder who it will be?

Tom Davis Endorsing Ron Paul

Tom Davis will be making an endorsement in the same place, room, and time as Ron Paul will be making his announcement:

SC Senator Tom Davis will announce his endorsement in the Palmetto State’s “First in the South” presidential primary, backing a candidate who can beat Barack Obama while at the same time staying true to the principles the Republican Party was founded on. His endorsement will take place Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pallisades Ballroom, 10000 Beach Club Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Is this open to everyone!? We are in town for a big volleyball

Tournament and would like to see dr Paul.

DeMint couldnt endore Ron Paul

The odds would be against his personal interest by openly endorsing Ron Paul.

If he did, Ron Paul would win the state outright but if he doesnt get the nomination, he would be blackballed by Romney somewhere down the road so dont expect that kind of support.

That being said, DeMint is speaking highly of Dr. Paul and isnt endorsing anyone in the race, that shows you that he isnt willing to jump on anyones bandwagon.

We can still win South Carolina regardless.

what will you do if you dont have your freedom

DeMint and Paul

I suspect you're correct but just so we're clear: Should we be complacent with this reality? Is the unlikelihood of getting what we want a sufficient reason not to insist upon it at all times henceforward?

If what you say is true then DeMint's "prudence" is akin to putting personal ambition ahead of his oath of office.

Should we not send a message that anyone who wants to go to Washington or remain there must abide by our demands of OUTSPOKEN constitutional fidelity or suffer the consequences and be swiftly unseated by someone that will?

"Some endorsements are made based on perceived pragmatism, others are made based on the potential for personal gain or political self-promotion. My endorsement of Ron Paul is based on his 30-year record of protecting taxpayers and the plans he has put forward in this race to balance our budget within three years."

Now we go after DeMint

I agree that following Tom Davis, why not inundate Jim DeMint's e-mail acct with messages imploring him to do the right thing.

At best he will act, at worst we will succeed in making him talk even more about Dr. Paul

You can reach him easily enough through his website...

I had this to say to the Senator...

Sen. DeMint,

Following the endorsement of Ron Paul by Tom Davis tomorrow, I implore you to applaud the GOPs return to it's roots and genuine fiscal aptitude. No doubt you will hear it spelled out in countless additional e-mails but your endorsement of Dr. Paul is paramount in this election cycle. Do so and know that it will lay the groundwork for a glorious new era in this nation's history.

Do I need to address the implausibility of any member of the GOP field outside of Paul rousing the necessary support to take the white house from Barack Obama? I think not.

So your failure to act appropriately in this case may have dire consequences. I know sir that a libertarian shift is dire in itself for the GOP, many would hang on to the status quo if they could. Perhaps you are beginning to realize that this is no longer an option. It is the will of the youth, the future of the party that dictates this return to libertarianism. This will be the future of the party if it is to have any real future at all.

I'm 24 years old and I can assure you sir that there are no Romney/Gingrich/Santorum Republicans coming down the pipeline in this or future generations.

Thank you for your consideration,

Yes, Dr. Paul...I'll be there.

Well I had said earlier I wasn't able to go, but I just couldn't resist so I'll be making the 7h drive.

Hope to see others from here, I'll be the Liberty lover ... ops that doesn't help recognize me does it ^^.

I'm so glad you're going. If there were enough time to drive from Phoenix, I would be there too.

Anything less of DeMint

...would only 'rock' me to sleep, let alone "rock the political establishment." I hope I'm not let down by this MAJOR hype.

There is no hype.......Tom Davis is going to endorse Paul.

And if you think this isnt a big deal...you're dead wrong. They love Davis in S.C. He will bring in voters....no doubt about it.

It may not end up being big for YOU but if you don't live in

If you don't live in South Carolina you may not know if a persons endorsement is big or not. Someone not important to me may be a big deal in South Carolina. Just sayin.

DeMint denies endorsement of anyone

Heard that as of 2 days ago, but I change in mind would be nice.

"No army can stop an idea whose time has come"

So it must be Lindsey Graham

Actually it's an influential state senator.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Lindsey Grahm would spontaneously burst into flames if he came

if he came anywhere near the goodness of Ron Paul

Ha, it would make me laugh if

Ha, it would make me laugh if Graham wasn't so horrible...
