The Wounded Warrior Project

A person in the Daily Paul chat, Nitch, suggested we get behind the Wounded Warrior Project. I'm sure all of us know that the people that our government has sent off to fight in many places around the world don't always come back whole. I know during this campaign we all have donated what we can toward electing Dr. Paul as President, but, there's also another avenue where we could put our money where our mouth is. Just think, there are men and women whose lives have been devastated in our name. They need our help, and they aren't currently getting all the help they deserve. These people have given the best of themselves without any sort of reservation. We owe it to them to make sure they get taken care of.

That's where the Wounded Warrior Project comes in. I know that some neoconservative folks support it vocally, but that doesn't mean we can't as well. According to their website, their purpose is:

  • To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.
  • To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
  • To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

I would advocate that every supporter of Ron Paul at least show some appreciation toward the troops who have fought and been injured in these awful wars. We may not support the war, but we sure as heck can support the men and women who went whether they chose to or not - in our name.

I'd like to support wounded warrior but...

Since I have limited funds I'm mainly doing the super brochure and then the campaign.

That way I can help prevent 1000's of wounded warriors instead of trying to console and put a band-aid on one.

I know it doesn't appear that patriotic on the surface, but if I had more money I'd donate to WW. Or actually maybe Oath Keepers instead.
