In the middle of the night I awoke with this thought: Ron's not closing the sale!
This can be the hardest thing for anyone to do when trying to convince someone to go along with you whether it's selling a product, service or getting one's vote.
We all know the message is golden. We all see the enthusiasm. Most everyone does not question Ron's sincerity or trustworthiness. So what is missing?
Asking for people's vote!
In signature Ron fashion, I hope that he will end certain talking points and segments with asking for people's vote. Something like this:
"If cutting government spending makes sense to you, I'd appreciate your vote on Saturday."
What scares me is that voters, while intuitively agreeing with what Ron speaks of, can't bridge the chasm between the ideas and how those ideas will manifest themselves in that voter's world.
There are so many ways this can be done and a lot better than my example but I hope my point is made.
