They just said he was there and had to leave for another event?

What event? Anyone know.

Come on man he needed to speak at this event.

I believe he had to leave for the Faith and Family event

There are far more undecideds connected to the Faith and Family event that need to be convinced to support him, in my opinion.

The Tea Party should already

The Tea Party should already be voting for Ron or they don't believe in what the Tea Party truly believes in and I would call those TP'ers, posers...!

It's Amazing......

Ron Paul knows what he's doing. If he needed to skip the event, then he needed the skip the event.

Paul knows more abut campaigning than all of us on this site....combined. He knows what he's doing.

People need to stop thinking that they know more about running a campaign than he does.

What's the big deal?

The event was running late, Paul had to leave to go to another event.

When scheduling several geographically dispersed events per day for many weeks (whether in a political campaign or a business trip or whatever), accidents will happen: things will run late, cars will break down, people will get sick and stay home, plane tickets will get lost, etc, etc. This is reality - if you want perfection, you're SOL.

I honestly don't why some of you keep defending Paul taking time off or missing events. This campaign is NOT for supporters. We already support him. It is for UNDECIDED voters who may see that as not caring.

yeah, give me thumbs down, but think of this. if you were an undecided voter and Paul left for 4 days in the middle of a primary to take a break, then skip the Huckster's forum and now a few others. I don't understand it. I really don't get it. Someone explain it to me. Because the media is spinning it as if he can't keep up or doesn't care. Some, if not a lot of people buy into that. You guys don't care, but undecided voters do.

Step In with a Surogate

Why doesn't the Presidential campaign have a surogate step in and give the speech? Did the Tea Party organizers only allow for the Presidential candiates only?

If you're an independent voter like I was, as a citizen it is your responsibility to determine who will be your candidate by doing research about his/her ideals and principles. I support Ron Paul because I want peace and liberty not because I have seen him in person or shook his hand. C'mon give me a break..

your talking about the average American voter. How many look into the candidates that deeply. How many that voted for Rick Santorum know his voting record.

Well, maybe on some of these matters...

...you'd do well to read all of the comments and realize in this case, at least, it appears the TEA Party event ran late and Paul had another event to speak at 45 minutes after he was scheduled to speak here.

As well, is it possible that either Carol or someone else in his family is having medical or other issues that he is having to split his time for? I'm FAIRLY sure Paul understands the importance of being out campaigning, so I'd imagine there is likely good reason for him to be going off-trail.

Have you paused to consider that? "Oh, well *I* haven't heard anything!" Well, perhaps they are understandably trying to keep it low-key for fairly obvious reasons, if no one's heard anything. Perhaps there's some other sort of personal matter they don't want getting out.

Of course I'm only playing with possible explanations, but come on. Say any of the matters I'm presenting might be true - you'd either say screw the family and stay on the trail, screw the family and your possible odds and make whatever it is public, or would you do what Paul might be doing and have a little faith while handling the best you can?

If it bothers you so much, why don't you call his home and ask? I believe it's publicly listed, last I checked.

Sometimes I wish Ron Paul would clone himself

so he could be two places at once. It really pisses me off that he has been running a successful campaign since 2008 and then he does things that I either don't like or don't understand. I should be running his campaign because I know better than he or his campaign staff know how to campaign. please note the sarcasm.

The Tea Party was quickly co-opted by the establishment! Ron knows this!

From the polls I've seen, it looks like

of all these groups- Republican, Democrat, Independent, and Tea Party- the Tea Party is the LEAST likely to support Ron Paul.


Tea Party = CONTROLLED opposition. They stole our idea, tweaked it to reflect a fake Constitutionalism and endless warmongering, then turned against us. Pretty low.



I'm sure there was many

a relieved neocon. But hey - if the 'Tea Party' really wanted to support the true Liberty candidate, there is nothing stopping them.
