Ad condemns serial hypocrisy, counterfeit conservatism and flip-flopping of Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney
LAKE JACKSON, Texas– The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today the release of its newest ad ‘Three of a Kind’ setting straight the records of his three main competitors Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney.
The ad condemns the serial hypocrisy, counterfeit conservatism, and flip-flopping of Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney respectively.
In the ad, Gingrich’s unpopular missteps are cited as lobbying for Freddie Mac prior to the housing market collapse, and lobbying for the individual mandate before the passage of Obamacare. Santorum’s transgressions against traditional Republican values are defined as increasing funding for Planned Parenthood, growing the national debt, and having a longstanding aversion to Right to Work. Flip-flopper Romney, for his part, supported TARP bailouts and as left-moderate Massachusetts governor provided the blueprint for Obamacare. The ad sums up the views of Paul’s three rivals by terming their approach as follows: “Three men, one vision. More big government, more mandates, and less freedom.”
The spot then describes how Ron Paul is the candidate of authentic change and how he stands apart from the economically and socially destructive policies of his competitors. It then touts the 12-term Congressman from Texas’ record of voting against every tax increase and every unbalanced budget, every time. It reminds viewers that Paul is prolife and pro-Right to Work, two policy stances crucial to South Carolina Republican primary voters, and reiterates elements of the congressman’s path-breaking ‘Plan to Restore America.’
“At a time when Republican voters are looking for a true conservative to defeat Obama, this ad effectively makes the case that Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney do not measure up. Ron Paul, in stark contrast, is presented as the one and only authentic conservative in the race,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
“Ron Paul is the sole alternative to the fair-weather conservatives who grow government, increase mandates, betray the sanctity of life, destroy the patient-doctor relationship, and erode individual workers’ rights,” added Mr. Benton.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Right to Work
I wonder if they are going to mention the right to work issue when they run ads in Ohio seeing that Issue 2 (the Public Employee Collective Bargaining Reform) failed by a miserable margin?
Another ad appropriate to South Carolina
I first found this on the Daily Paul but I think this needs more attention NOW since too many in South Carolina still like Gingrich and Perry just bowed out and endorsed Gingrich as well. This would serve as a very good counter-balance:

Pass this around to anyone you know in South Carolina.

How to persuade your unconvinced relatives:
For your friends and relatives who remain unconvinced, you'll need more than a sound byte or negative campaign ad to convince them Ron Paul is the best candidate-you'll need a thoughtful, comprehensive, persuasive argument that Ron Paul is the right choice.
Here's a good place to start:

Using a combination of news, interviews, and analysis, this series of articles makes the case Ron Paul is the man for the Presidency more powerfully than a single clip could.
Ron Paul! Kicking ass and
Ron Paul! Kicking ass and taking names!
Ron Paul is my President!!!! Fu$# the Empire!!

Shed some light in the Sunshine State.
The Campaign needs to start playing this ad in Florida. Dr. Paul is in fourth place right now behind all these slimes.
Right now all that is playing here is Romney ads. They have been for the past two weeks.
I honestly think Ron Paul has a good chance in Florida.
I don't think they're going
I don't think they're going to compete in Florida. Commercial airtime is really expensive and it's a winner-take-all state.
BREAKING: York: Final count could show Romney lost Iowa!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!
In the evangelical South
What we need is an ad highlighting Paul's real stance on Israel and the military. It needs to show how he was the ONLY one who supported Israel against Iraq in the 1980s, how the others want to control Israel's own policies through what is essentially extortion (foreign aid), and the line from last night's debate: close the bases in foreign lands, spend that money on our troops and bases here at home to make our defense even stronger.
Great Ad! Voters are sensationalists whether we like it or not
Who votes? the young and the old... everybody in between is working too hard to care.
The older votes come in when they see something very elementary, the younger voters are more meticulous but 47% of young people are already pro-RP.
Thus, appealing to the older crowd that has been inoculated with so many brain retarding prescription drugs is what will help Ron Paul...
the tens of thousands of elderly in South Carolina that are as susceptible to deceit as children will find this impressive, and it is only ads like these that they will reach to... anymore specific and we have lost them.. as the combo of drugs and malinformation has convinced the elderly that everything is absolute, and anything more is for unpatriotic conspiracy nutjobs
The role of a farmer, in Fukuoka's mind, is an observer, not an intervener, of the natural order in his/her particular landscape. How is that any different than Hayek in regards to Economics?
We need a quick TV AD showing all the ENDORSEMENTS from S.C.
and we need it quick, because Dr. Paul did NOT thank the Senators of South Carolina during the debate for THEIR ENDORSEMENT.
I was so disappointed he didn't do that!
We could start it by saying~~THEY (photos of Mitt, Grinch, Santorum) all desperately vied for the coveted S.C. Senator Tom Davis' endorsement, but NONE of them got it. WHY NOT?? Because they are BIG GOVERNMENT LIBERALS in Republican clothes. Then, three more Senators endorsed him the next day. THAT candidate they all endorsed was RON PAUL, the People's Candidate!
Are you kidding? There was no
Are you kidding? There was no question to answer with a roll call of who endorsed who. That's the campaigns job.
Role reversal
It's interesting that the other campaigns are putting out mostly positive ads while their super pacs are doing the attack ads. The Paul campaign is doing the attack ads while the Paul super pacs are putting out mostly positive ads about Paul.
BEATIO~~~I disagree with you!
This TV AD is great. People (of all ages) are not THAT stupid. They can "get" this ad, especially how the music changes and introduces the good doctor!
The RINOS cannot be changed, so forget them.
The idea that S.C. "Christians" would vote for a "Mormon" is just beyond belief for me personally. If they do, it is either due to "vote rigging", or this country is much more pagan than I thought.
Oh stop it. Religion should
Oh stop it. Religion should have nothing to do with it.
Look around
it's more pagan than you thought. : )

That was a Very Strong Ad!
We've come so far since 2008, when we were still at the elementary stages of learning.
Way to go Campaign!
:-)
Just an idea for the ad guys
This ad is well put together but I think its appeal might be limited to the youth vote.
Consider cutting back on name calling and negativity as it will often back fire or create bad air.
Go for the issues! There is the strength of the good doctor! For Christ's sake -- this is a whole movement.
The issues, made clear and simple, and why not one by one for maximum focus.
For example, one ad focusing on the Fed and why it's so important to reign it in.
Then one on the outrageous injustice of the bailouts.
Then one on blow back in foreign policy.
And so on.
Just a thought (actually from an old pro in the media/pr/advertising business).
Are They Ever
going to produce an ad that targets independents rather than far right Republicans? Going after Obama/Romney (there's no substantial difference between them) on issues of war and the loss of our Constitutional rights would be far more effective at getting votes. Go after voters who are worried about the following:
*Endless war
*Indefinite detention without trial
*Trade agreements
*Prosecuting corporate fraud
Ron Paul could pick up far more voters if he'd address issues that have brought independents and some progressives on board rather than these far right issues that won't matter a bit if we're broke, living in a totalitarian government, and at war with Iran.
The campaign needs to appeal
The campaign needs to appeal to Republican primary voters now. I would expect to see more of what you're talking about further down the road.

But In the Meantime,
he is alienating voters who would potentially vote for him in the primaries, not just Republicans. There are discussions right now on whether or not independents and progressives should change their party affiliation and vote for him. If he doesn't come out and stress his anti-war credentials soon, people will vote third party rather than for him, even though they know their vote isn't going to count.
Ron Paul is going to have to make some choices right away on what demographic he wants to court. I believe Santorum has the ultra right wing Christian vote and Romney has the Republican Wall Street vote. Why not court the anti-war vote? He's the only game in town, and the public desperately wants to end the wars. Why not emphasize that strength, along with the NDAA and civil liberties and his anti-NAFTA stance? People want to know if he'll go after the corporations that committed fraud, too. Speak to that. There's such a massive audience waiting for someone to speak for them on these issues, not issues that appeal to the far, far right wing. He can't court Santorum's right wing constituency and still appeal to independents and progressives, and the far right wing isn't going to vote for him, anyway. It's time for him to make a choice: does he want the anti-war vote or the far right wing vote?
Independents count in many states
Many states (like South Carolina) allow Independents to register as Republicans the day of the primary so they can vote in the primary. That means the Independent vote is critical in many states.
Paul beats Romney in the Independent vote by a wide margin so it's a demographic that the campaign could go after.
He already does very well
He already does very well with them. What he hasn't done well with is the actual Republicans. Considering that there are quite a few closed primaries he's doing the right thing.
BAM! AWESOME
The one ad that brings them all together (and in SC binds them)

"We've been over taxed over regulated and over run by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
Ron Paul
I don't like it.
This approach was more effective in previous ads. Here it is off-putting, perhaps because there is less emphasis on specifics and more on name-calling. Each candidate gets a label (serial hypocrite, counterfeit conservative and flip-flopper). Really, guys?
I still say the campaign needs a powerful ad selling Ron Paul's foreign policy. They keep avoiding it, as if those who currently see Ron's foreign policy as a deal-breaker will forget about it and vote for Ron Paul anyway.
Yes really!
The ad creates the tension, gives the spooky-nasty, then resolves well.
This works, as long as its accurate, it will always work. The voter will have "I'm voting for a. serial hypocrite, b. counterfeit conservative, or c. flip-flopper" riding on their conscience. Good stuff.
Style is current with what TV watchers like. I'm not a TV watcher, but I think that it's sublime as is.
Your second point, spot on. The foreign policy issue most certainly is our Achilles heel, denying this is delusional.
Dr. Paul is right as rain on foreign policy; the reasons for constitutional war and constitutional foreign policy need to be articulated and disseminated poste-haste. How the constitution relates to Israel, Iran's mystery nuke, Syria (and whatever else) needs to be laid out as clearly as his 1 trillion in cuts and a balanced budget within 3. Fiscal conservatives of all persuasions respect him for that. Their panties are in a wad big time because the constitutional foreign policy that he and all veterans understand has not been made clear enough.
Time is up
The media can try to smear us as for pro-weed (or whatever) all they want, that isn't a deal breaker. Besides the drug war in Mexico and on the Mexican/US border is exposing this lunacy, more than ever.
What will make or break this primary is the lucid manner (or lack) in which Dr. Paul and his campaign can reassure America that a constitutional foreign policy is best for our defense, our military, and our immediate and long term security from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
I challenge them to get it sorted out before it’s too late. Hearin' me Jesse?
