What is going on in this country?Submitted by wildcard on Mon, 01/16/2012 - 23:56
As I sit and watch this debate I am deeply troubled. I have fought in many fights through my life and am truly disturbed by what I am seeing; especially in the debate audience. Are we seriously this scared in America? Do we not believe that we are the most powerful, peace loving nation on the planet? When did we decide that we can force our beliefs on others with no consequences? When did we decide that no other leader can possibly care for the people of their country the way we care for the people of ours? I wonder if I need to move to a place like Costa Rica, inconsequential, peaceful, liberty loving, etc. As a strong man who fears little on this earth and understands that warriors were made extinct with the creation of modern weaponry, I am at a crossroads. Is America where I want to be? We have strayed so far from what I was taught as a child, from what I believed was right growing up in a small south Texas town. I feel beaten when I have not had the chance to fight. I as an individual do not feel as if I am being represented by anyone. Dr. Paul knows this turmoil and understands the need for change, but is limited is his ability to express what must be said. The philosophy he attempts to broadcast is the foundation for every solution, yet he is marginalized by people who care not for their neighbor, nor their country.......or sadly they do not understand. Who is to blame? Is it us? Because we give in everytime we are confronted? I know not. I do know this. People for Dr. Paul understand the importance of liberty and the fact, that it is life support in times of sorrow, in times of want, in times of need. Liberty is the very soul of America. We will not stop, we will not give in, we know and we believe.......something that is very hard to suppress. Love you guys. Keep up the fight. Please know that I am right there with you.
