Tea Party - a viable 3rd Party now

If Ron Paul were to start the Official Tea Party - have a huge hand in creating the platform... it would be huge. If by some sleazy hand we don't get the nomination, Ron Paul should start up the REAL Tea Party and take Jesse Ventura as his running mate. We'll tear it up as well as force the fake lip-service Tea Partiers to pick a side.

The GOP is nothing but a bunch of bloodthirsty vampires that will tell you anything just so they can wait till you're not paying attention and they sink their fangs into your neck.

No way GOP can win

without the Ron Paul supporters. So what gives? I mean why would they be willing to lose the election just to keep RP out of office? Probably because they are for the establishment. The establishment does not care if Romney or Obama is in the White House because they own both of them. Now we can all see why there is not hairs difference between the Democrats and Republicans. There will only be two choices in this election which are Obama or Ron Paul. Take your pick.

Special Thank you to Harris Faulkner

for her honesty and integrity. The "only" fox news anchor who acknowledged and exposed the truth that Dr Paul indeed, did do the best and was thee obvious clear "winner" in all categories!!! Like Dr Paul, she too is an honest lady, and we need more like them.

This is exactly why I wrote this article!

My Friends in Liberty,

The discussion in this thread is exactly why I wrote the following article, but it has seemed to gain little traction here. Perhaps it is viewed as defeatist, when in actuality it should motivate the base more than ever. And the reason is Ron Paul, and ONLY Ron Paul, holds the key to how the 2012 election will play out. That is tremendous clout. And Ron Paul is wise enough to know how to use it to the fullest. Let's not lose track that this is more than just an election... it's a R3volution.

Please Read this article, bump, and share. Ron Paul FTW!

Cannot lose !

Great article, and you are absolutely right! we cannot lose, What Dr Paul has started is monumental, this election is only the beginning! As RP has won our support by sticking to his principles over the last few decades, We in turn must STICK TO OUR PRINCIPLES! Do not vote for a lesser of two evils and even more importantly DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE! it is important

Write in

If enough people write in RP it will force the GOP to come to terms with the fact that we are here to stay and it is a show of force to remind them that they must not only recognize that we are needed for the future but must add positions we are passionate about to the party platform. I have thought about this a lot lately, and Im not merely writing his name in to annoy someone. If we all do it in solidarity, they MUST recognize that we are a force to be reckoned with and realize they can never win again without us, therefore giving us leverage for the future.

You are missing the point

The Republicans and the Democrats are one in the same. Why else would the Republicans give up the election to keep RP out of the White House?

Presidential Election Write-In Rules?

2008 Presidential Election Write-In Rules

Rule 1 - Write-in votes will not be counted if the candidate does not file as a write-in candidate.

Rule 2 - Write-in candidates are not allowed in presidential elections.

Rule 3 - A candidate losing the primary cannot file as a write-in candidate in the general election.

-----------------------------------

If they are like the above, then my thoughts are...

If Ron Paul doesn't make it then I simply won't vote. If a write-in were allowed, then I'd use it. But if Ron Paul is not on there and a write-in is not allowed, then there's no one on there that I'd be willing to cast my vote to for President.

After the election I would, once again, go back to being a registered Libertarian.

Cheers

America has a fever...

And its only prescription is more Ron Paul!

How odd

In the last NH debate, Ron Paul said that ANY of the GOP candidates could beat Obama because Obama's defeating himself. When I see the newspeople saying things like "we cannot win without the Ron Paul supporters," I see people setting us supporters up as scapegoats in the off chance that Obama miraculously wins.

I trust Ron Paul. Obama's going to lose, regardless of who he's up against. So this battle is between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. No one else.

Wrong!

Romney will not win the general election with 30-35% of the vote. Romney will need about 40% and he won't even come close.

You just watch

people will be sitting in front of the old TV on election night and Romney will lose state after state. Then they will say how can this happen, the election must be rigged. But it will not be rigged. All they will need to do is remember back at all the times they call RP a cook and tried to humiliate his supporters. This will be called payback time. Hope they all enjoy it.

If RP is not on general election ballot

I will choose not to vote. In my opinion, a write in for RP will only harm Ron & Rand and only serve as documentation that he/we are responsible for Obama's reelection. I cannot and will not vote for Santorum, Romney or Obama.

Send a message to the GOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vote for Paul or Obama, but send the message to the GOP that they will never win another election. Remember how the GOP has treated RP. Remember the disrespect. Remember how RP always respects the interviewer and doesn't interrupt. Remember that he doesn't lie. Remember what a gentleman he is.

Your vote is a voice, when

Your vote is a voice, when used together, we can make a resounding sound that cannot be ignored!

Counterpoint

I look forward to hearing more about the reason for your position because I have been thinking about how to vote but so far this is how I feel about it.

You do not have to write in RP

when Obama wears Romney out they will know what happened. As a matter of fact they all ready know what is going to happen. That is the way the Main Stream Media has driven the sheep. The sheep need some one to tell them how to vote and the MSM is more than willing to do that. Suffering cures stupid. Give the sheep another four years of Obama and four years of suffering and they will come around and beg Rand Paul to run.

Clarify

I'm writing in Ron Paul, I don't see how that would realistically be materially damaging to Rand's future.

Rand will write him in too!!!!!

Rand doesn't care about having a career as a politician. He cares about voting for what is right, and articulating on why something is detrimental.

Support

If anything, I think it would be a show of support for Ron & Rand's brand of libertarianism. Or, if the GOP really does collapse, a show of support for libertarians. If Ron Paul isn't on the ballot, I'll vote for the Libertarian Party candidate and any independent candidates for other offices.

If it was the GOP's

desire to defeat Obama, this discussion would be relevant. Unfortunately, the GOP's #1 goal is to defeat Ron Paul..not Obama.

You are

absolutely 190% correct.

Damn skippy!!!

I'll write Ron Paul in if I have to, just as I did in 2008. In this election we have two choices: tyranny or liberty. I choose liberty with the complete understanding it'll likely be the last chance to do so in my lifetime.

Unless Ron Paul! -Lorax

We have the power to elect Obama

The GOP must have the support of RP supporters to win the general election. They are afraid that Obama will win if RP supporters defect. Our power is this:
We vote RP as Republican in General election
We vote RP as third party in general election
We vote RP as write-in in general election.

Especially #3 is what scares them the most. Why not consolidate this power with a petition stating the above with many thousands of signatures? This is how WE (the revolution) keep the power if RP loses the nomination and endorses another candidate.

Ron will never endorse another candidate!

ARE YOU SERIOUS? It would make no sense, and the Doctor has sense.

they are not

afraid of Obama winning. Republican people are, but the GOP machine wants Obama or Romney, no difference to them.

Ron Paul Does not 100% Control his supporters

As much as I love the good Doctor, if he asked me to vote for Santorum, I would jump ship and vote for Gary Johnson! We are not sheep like other GOP ppl.

This is a revolution, not just one candidate.
