Okay gotta be honest...I do NOT like these. I find the loud noises and cartoon faces obnoxious and immature. Normally I wouldn't bother chiming in, but everyone asks, "how do we get more females?". 39 year-old, single mother, nurse here. I love Dr Paul and send my friends to this site when they ask me about him. Most of them are 30's-40's female RNs. Sorry, hate to be negative.

"pwnd" is an old internet slang which derived from "owned".
People started posting "owned" in a lot of forums to the point that moderators started banning usage of it.
So, people modified it to "pwned" or pwnd" for some reason that I don't know. And it became so common that nobody tried to stop it anymore, and now its a common expression.
And there it is, no matter how silly, it is a widely used term.

And the basic meaning of it is when you have "owned" or "pwnd" somebody, you have put them in their place or shown them who's boss, or set them straight, or whatever.
