Ron Paul Quietly Plots Backup Strategy While Seeking the Nomination

First, this blog post is three months old. For another, it's ABC news. Since when do you believe anything they say? For another, how on earth could Dr. Paul use his delegates as a bargaining chip? In what way? Do you think he would say something like: "Oh, make the party platform a limited government one and I will endorse Romney." News flash is that Ron Paul's campaign is ALREADY based on the supposed Republican party platform! The rest of these jokers just don't bother to pay any attention to it and nor would they no matter what bargain they struck regarding the delegates. Of course, Ron Paul's delegates are people, too, and it's unlikely he would betray them by making a deal with the devil to bargain away their votes to somebody that they (and he) would never be able to support in the first place. Let the party take their lumps. Get behind a Paul candidacy or go into irrelevancy.

It is just paper and they are rarely implemented when in office.

dr. Paul. Come on, do you seriously think that the r3VOLution is going to reveal every part of their strategy? Have you ever stopped to think for one second that thse type of statements are PART of the strategy...and that they have a purpose other than face value?

As a soldier I was taught ( and still believe) that our generals and our commander-in-chief know a LOT MORE about the plan to win than I do. Since we are on the side of truth and right, we must trust our leaders, we must do our jobs and let them deal with the powerful forces of evil that are aligned to try to stop us.

Our job is to FIGHT: become delegates/alternates ( top priority), take over GOP party, give support to the campaign ($$$ and/or time) and convert people to the cause of Liberty!!!

Who among us knows more about the political system than Ron Paul? Not me, You?

Despite any changes Ron Paul may make with Romney or the Republican Party platform, I will not vote for Romney. It just won't happen.

However, I am not opposed to Ron Paul trying to get these things done. It may ease Rand's path in 2016/2020 if the party is in alignment with him.

I think this is mostly hype, however if there were any truth to the matter this "strategy" wouldn't work. Either Romney flips on his promise or he doesn't get elected. The only way to bargain is for RP to say- we are the nominee, or we walk and you can kiss the election goodbye.

Even if Romney wins the nomination and changes his platform, doesn't mean he will stick with that platform once elected. I mean, this is Romney were talking about... the guy who will say almost anything to get more votes. President Bush ran on limited government and spending back in 2000 and we all know what happened with that.

not good enough. They need to good third party or independent. He can still have the delegates at the convention in the process of overtaking the GOP while running outside of the GOP. Ask those delegates to caste their vote for Rand.

First of all, I OWN my vote. No one can lead me to vote for the GOP nominee if I don't want to. I will not want to if it is not RP. Secondly, just because the GOP agrees to any type of platform change does NOT mean they are going to follow through with it. The real question is where will we go from here? So much can happen between now and 2016. The first thing I am going to do when this election is over is to change my status from R to I.

They are throwing everything at this phenomenon…. “Stop talking about foreign policy… get lost and run 3rd party so we don’t have to give you msm coverage... make a deal with us in exchange for your support…” they are flailing at the wind… they are desperate…. must keep plodding forward… steady as she goes….. like the “tortoise and the hare”.

Start counting votes by paper ballot in full public view so we can transparently see who is REALLY winning this race (Dr. Paul) and maybe we'll even let u keep some of your precious stolen money which is your false god, but I promise it will never fill the void in your blackened hearts - only LOVE can do that.

BTW - NO F-ING WAY are any of these ego drunk buffoons going to be Vice President - JFK made that mistake with Lyndon Johnson.

WE ARE NOT YOUR SLAVES - accept that or refuse to do so at your own peril. You are quickly running out of time.

FYI CAMPAIGN: IF I DIED TAKING A BULLET FOR PRESIDENT PAUL I would gladly do so knowing my children will be free. I'm sure you can find plenty more volunteers. I'd like Ron to have a lot more security. All I need is a place to sleep and a few meals every day other than that I'll work for free.

It's hard to believe when people see the TENACITY and DETERMINATION of the REAL Tea Party - they could possibly still harbor doubts about our national security if Dr. Paul was president - we're PATRIOTS and we LOVE our country which is why we've put up with all the ridicule, marginalization, beat downs by rouge agents of government etc etc... we're trying to SAVE these people who HATE us not to mention all our kids dying overseas!

Since when do these bastards ever follow through with their promises. This is a joke. Anyone other than RP as POTUS means we kiss our freedom and country goodbye. It won't matter if it Obumer , Newt, or Mitt.

Ron should pull out and run as independent. Then of course their is still Diebold to deal with. Sorry nothing short of a revolution is going to stop this. We must continue to get the message out and wake as many up as we can.
