CNN Smackdown by Ron Paul Supporters at South Carolina

CNN was giving very little time to Ron Paul at the SC Debate. And at one point Santorum, Romney, and Gingrich answered a question and gave their views on abortion.

Clearly the doctor should have been asked, as Ron Paul has an M.D. who served in Vietnam in the US Air Force, and helped deliver over 4,000 babies in his career.

But CNN tried to ignore him. Again it was the Ron Paul grassroots that made this happen. If not for their support, Ron Paul wouldn't have been given an opportunity to respond and give his ideas and perspective on this issue.

His answer is spot on. He explains the time before abortion was legal and explains how the law will not correct the basic problem. At issue is morality, and right to life should be a state issue not a federal issue.

The Paul / Santorum smackdown continues: Santorum attacked Paul at CNN debate for leaving abortion to states, but look what he said in 2003...

Ron Paul Just Turned South Carolina!

Wow - the best Ron ever from last night!

"For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God."

Do they really want to

Do they really want to reverse Roe v Wade?

the next question....

was allegedly from someone on social media asking about something I bet nobody can guess...Iran! F these people. This needs to be done in defense of Ron Paul from now on. We defended him and it paid off. They're putting a microscope on his achilles heel and they refuse to show the whole man. We have to defend ourselves from now on. It feels so good to watch this clip over and over. Enough of being pushed around. Being a gentleman is one thing but they're basically cheating and we're playing fair and by the book. It's not bad sportsmanship to call out your opponent for playing dirty. If we continue to let them play by a different set of rules then we're doing Ron a disservice. We don't need to play dirty but call these guys out on the spot and not for days on end AFTER the fact online when the damage is already done.

Sad I know,

but it just hit me of how powerful that moment was. That was a seminal moment for us and our movement! Folks, I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised come tomorrow night and the direction of the campaign!

For Liberty!

John King is married to Dana Bash....

...so it looks like husband and wife are teaming up against Ron Paul...

THANK YOU to the people who were @ the debate and spoke up.

"I think that question was directed at me so I would just like to say".
You are correct Santorum the Moderator did ask you that question unfortunately for you he is the only person in the room who cares about what you have to say on the subject since you dont seem to stand very firm on either side of the issue.. please gracefully bow out of the race and make room for the big boys to debate these issues

Occupy the Media

The audience's reaction to Paul being skipped last night on the abortion issue shows that the people have quite a bit of power that can be exerted upon the Lamestream.

I think it would be great if all the Meet-up groups throughout the country organized a protest each of the major network stations in each of the major cities throughout the country. Demanding that Congressman Paul be given fair coverage and exposure. If the media refuses, it will become evident to all the passers by that the establishment has something to hide.

We the people should attend all the debates of Ron Paul and whenever MSM tries to skip Ron Paul let's unleash a SOUTH CAROLINA off em' to keep them on check.

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."

What do you think an

What do you think an "active-duty flight surgeon from 1963-1965 during Vietnam" means?

Read this cool article about the CNN Censorship of Paul

John King was absolutely wicked last night! Here is a great article about the audience response to his effort to censor Paul during the debate... after you read the article, share it on facebook or retweet the link!

The brazen efforts by the MSM to silence Paul cannot be denied. And yet political pundits still pontificate in their spin rooms as to why Paul supporters behave like angry hornets. Tonight, the audience in South Carolina sent a message to the media elite. Ignore Ron Paul, and you're going to get stung.

Great Article

Thumbs up. Thank you for the link.

Super Pac Video its time to attack the media

RP number 1 ememy is the media.

At this point we dont have a damn thing to loose. Lets bring it to theses bias lieing deceptive bastards.

They piss and moan all the time about all the problems in America, debt, wars, freedom, Patriot Act, NDAA, etc etc etc...

Time to maybe dig up some Cavuto, Megan, Bill, Brett, Wolf, bitching and then show how they are blacking out the only true statesman who is defending this nations Constitution, freedoms, going after the issues and they lie and deceive the nation against this good man, I say take the gloves off and take a few shots at the midia, did any of you notice the applause Newt got when he took it back at them in the CNN debate, and talke about a candidate being attacked its the good doctor, maybe its time and show the bastards we are not going to take it anymore and show Americans how they twist RP words and lie and how they are being deceived, time to hit them in there lieing mouths. I donate every time there is money bomb, I have had a RP sign in front of my house for 4 years because I believe in him. Its time to take the F ING gloves off against our true enemy the MEDIA.

You're right. Ron's

You're right. Ron's complaints about the media could take a lifetime to cover. Newt's silliness pales in comparison.

Theeasylifeofthe allknowning butseldom doig armchairQuarterback!

Don't get me wrong, I really feel that good constructive criticism is healthy and good, but I really think that a lot of these guys on here who are always highly critical of Ron Paul's performances in these debates need to get off their duffs and hit the pavement or run for some office in order to spread the message, instead of contributing by their highly critical play by play analysis from the couch. I really think it would sober them up in a hurry, and restore a lot of the respect and admiration for a guy who did his very best last night. And by the way it was amazing!! I actually handed out super brochures all day yesterday in the cold and I talking to tons of students on the side walk(by the way most of them sincerely thanked me for doing what I was doing)at BYU-Idaho. I did this for about six hours until one friendly officer and a university security officer can and protected and served me by scaring my two dogs half to death, telling me to put my hands where he could see them, then telling me to put my bag of brochures on the wet ground(he yelled put your bag on the ground), and then put my hands on the hood of his car as he frisked me for guns and knives, and then I was treated to a Nazi style game of inquisition!! Then They threatened me if they had ever one complaint, or if I stepped foot on there private side walk again that they've have me run out of town or thrown in jail. Mind you, I'm Mormon and I served a two year mission in Finland for this church!!! The reason that I was there talking to students was because one of my friends that goes to school there was threatened with being kicked out of school if he continued in his political activism after that university cancelled all political clubs. Mind you that the school newspaper the day I got thrown on the hood of the car for nothing had a section about the candidates and the GOP race!!! What really makes me mad is that on our churches official web site it says"the lord has stressed that we aught to be concerned and involved in promoting good government." I guess just not on there property ironically enough!! But after my experience the other day and many other ones like this, I always look at the cup half full when I see anyone giving it there best to fight for the "message of liberty" and I think more of these armchair quarterbacks on this site would too if they got out into the real fray from time to time!!!

Ron Paul:
National Right to Life 2009-10 - 100%
09 - 100%
07-08 - 80%
05-06 - 56%
03-04 - 73%
01-02 - 81%
99-00 - 78%
97-98 - 95%
97 - 100%

Santorum invoked National Right to Life...

as reporting that Ron Paul had only a 50% pro-life voting record. Some investigation needs to be done on National Right to Life.

Years ago they were working to defeat Sen. Jesse Helms in his re-election bid. Helms was very pro-life. That's when I quit supporting NRL.

Some years ago when a pro-life bill came up in South Dakota that would have saved many babies, National Right to Life worked against it alongside Planned Parenthood. As I recall, the S.D. Governor and the Catholic Bishops were on board supporting this bill.

Finally, Rick Santorum has to be called out in a debate, by Ron Paul, on his betrayal of the pro-lifers in PA when he supported pro-abortion Arlen Specter over pro-life Pat Toomey. I can't believe that the Ron Paul hasn't confronted Santorum with this in a debate. Santorum is the biggest hypocrite on the stage. How he fools people into thinking he is so principled is beyond me.

Once again.....

Santorum redefines the word "jackass".

just donated another hundred! come on folks, we can do it!

Thread Intro

This moment in the debate was inspirational for sure. However, Rep. Paul did NOT serve IN Vietnam. He served during the Vietnam conflict, but not in the theater. Sorry, it may seem "nit picky" but accuracy is important. RP 2012!

From where are you getting

From where are you getting your information? He was drafted and served in active-duty as a flight surgeon.. from 1693-65. Where else would he serve during those years in active-duty? He was called and went!

my understanding is he was stationed in Cuba for a while, then somewhere else, but never Vietnam. He's said this during the debate cycle this time around.

Ironically, he did serve IN...

...Afghanistan and Pakistan!

What's the point of even having a live audience if they have to be potted plants?

RP lets Santorum lie and distort without fear of reprisal

I think RP should have slapped down the distortion made by Rick S. that Ron Paul isn't 100% against abortion.

Santorum continues to lie and distort. RP needs to call him on it like Rand does.

Rand doesn't take that type of crap from his opponents. He has even flat out called his opponents liars. He has refused to shake hands. I remember in a debate against Jack Conway, where Rand said, after a Conway lie, "This man is lying to you. And I want to say I will not be shaking hands with him after this debate, because I will not dignify him with a gentlemanly gesture. Lying is unacceptable. And I will not shake his hand."

Rick continues to lie and distort and RP let's him get away with it.

Here is a classic example of

Here is a classic example of how mainstream media continue to downplay and ignore a top contender in the race, because they do not want to give exposure to his views. The audience did a good job of exposing this.
