Chuck Baldwin ='s A Lot More Votes Than A Blimp Ever Could (Read ON)

0 votes

I think we need to get Chuck Baldwin touring the Church Circuit on behalf of Ron Paul. I think he should be compensated for doing so by the grass roots or the official campaign, or a mixture of both depending on the legalities.

I can only assume with Chuck Baldwin's prominence/stature within this Community, that Churches would love to have him speak to their congregations as a guest speaker, I have no doubt.

Think of it this way. If 10% of Huckabee's 39,814 Votes had gone to Dr. Paul he would have increased his vote total by 3,900 Votes.

We are talking about one of the most powerful voting demographics out there. We are backing a candidate whose faith based philosophical views are in alignment with this group of voters. Its not like we are trying to get the people in our Churches to see eye to eye with Keith Richards. Our candidate speaks to them, they just don't realize it! They have to hear this from the pulpit.

I personally think if we had a Chuck Baldwin on a speaking circuit in Iowa a month prior to this Caucus we would have easily come in second place. I know it makes the Good Doctor's skin crawl to blend his Faith into his platform. In fact, I think he is so opposed to the idea that he wouldn't be good at it even if he were willing to do it himself. ( Of course he isn't, which is just another reason why we support the good doctor) However we need to have someone reaching out to this block of voters on his behalf if we hope to have a chance.

In those crucial states like South Carolina, Iowa, and many others (yes even NH has a fairly large number of people who use their Faith as a guage at the voting booth) we have to address this head on if we hope to win this election.

In the Republican Nominating process, a Chuck Baldwin would garner us many more votes than a Blimp ever could at 2% of the cost.

Let's get Chuck and Dave from Lionandlambministry.com Teamed up

I know Dave from lionandlambministry.com is on board with Ron Paul, but I think if we got the Pastors and Preachers on HERE to really start getting out the TRUTH to the Christian community as a force, THAT would be something great. Let me try to get DaveyBoy(lol) on here now...

I tried.. :-(

I was hoping Chuck would get to these people:

Are you saying Chuck is a blimp?

Just kidding of course! I like Chuck and he converted me to Ron Paul.

Here's a must share article:

An Open Letter From an Arkansas Evangelical

Share this with our fellow believers!

The blimp is a non-issue.

The blimp began as a good idea, but it's turned into little more than a joke at this point. In my opinion it has benefited the campaign very little, if at all. But has provided a lot of fun and partying to the few directly involved. Support has all but dried up. People are tired of the game, I think.

For an Independent Canidacy....

which this at least has some chance of evolving into, I think the Blimp very effective, however for a Republican Primary I think our biggest challenge is garnering the support of the evangelical vote, I don't think the blimp is an effective medium.

I have a great idea for compromise!

Give Chuck

http://www.ronpaulblimp.com/ride.php

A nice blimp-ride! :) He'd probably talk about it, and it's a nice thing "we" can do for celebrities. If I had a blimp ride (sorry, I can't give that much!!) I'd certainly let Chuck have it, since I'm willing to give a potential ride to the hated news media & Chuck's a nicer guy than THAT!!
JMR

My 52 minutes

I gave $500 which was suppose to buy 52 minutes I think. There are probably a whole lot more donations that have not collected on their rides and don't intend to. The blimp should give the ride to him totally free for the publicity. Not that I like doing anything for our illusive publicity. TV - publicity and we aren't going to get it.

Great idea

This is really great. The people who support Ron Paul and have endorsed him in any way, could be given a blimp ride and it becomes a reason for a press release and media attention. Remember when Tom Cruise made some favorable comments to RP at the Jay Leno show? Maybe he would take a ride in the blimp. That would get attention. I like the blimp, and feel that with any business venture, it needs to be revisited and revamped and evolved to maturity. Let's not give up on it, lets make it better and more effective.

Small problem

I love Chuck, b ut there is a small problem...

Most churches are non-profit/501 (c) 3 status w/ the IRS. As a result, they are not allowed to use their pulpits for specific candidate endorsement. This is the problem we ran into with Dobson and also Pat Roberts (although he trashed his credibility endorsing Guiliani)...they had to state specifically that their organizations did not endorse a candidate, it was their personal opinion.

The problem that Chuck Baldwin would run into is using a pulpit to endorse a candidate in the non-profit churches.

So, what we need to do is invite the pastors and congregations to a town-hall style meeting place and have him address them their (as he has done before).

If he wants to come to my state and do this, I would give him a place to crash and my wife and I would be sure he is well fed!

now that would be a great

now that would be a great Idea! one local meeting place.. have all the pastors come in.. and let chuck speak! I think then we could wake some of these folks up! As a Christian myself I cannot believe how ignorant and naive my brethren are.. Jesus said his people parish because of lack of knowledge! we see this happening right now! I will be hitting the churches around me Sunday with Ron Pauls statement of faith... its 3 pages long and I put them on every car in every church parking lot!
Ron Paul in 08!

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

Churches are used for other activities.

When I was a kid... last century... I used to go to Boy Scouts in a church.

Chuch Baldwin doesn't have to show up on Sunday morning or Wednesday night. It doesn't have to be sponsored "by" the church.

Chuck

Chuck Baldwin is great! I want to move to Florida just so I can go to his church!

lol, I had the same thought,

lol, I had the same thought, glad to know I am no the only one.

If

If Chuck Baldwin went out and spoke on behalf of Ron Paul. would his church loose it's tax exemtion status? Just asking.

Actually whether churches

Actually whether churches are 501 c3 or not, they are NOT required to pay taxes. However, the people who give to churches that are not 501c3 will not be able to use their donation for tax purposes. So, I think that is why those churches get into bed with the government, which is what they are doing. (I am a Christian). I speak at my church about politics regularly, and against the government, but I can, because I am not a member.

i'm no expert

but surely he's allowed to do something personally. He'd just have to not use the name of the church at all.

Chuck Baldwin has a Letter to Pastors

Explaining why Ron Paul is the candidate to back. Christians all over the country need to print this out and spread it around. Talk to Pastors and Christian groups, don't wait for some professional to take care of it. Read the ChristiansforRonPaul website and spread the word. If you are a Christian, you know what kind of issues Christians care about and you are comfortable talking about them. Let's make it happen.

Calling Chuck Baldwin

Chuck We Need You Now More Than Ever!

http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/media.html

Oh, yeah?

"we need to get Chuck Baldwin touring the Church Circuit"
Who are "we"? How do "we" get this done? Doesn't Baldwin himself have a say in this?

Yes He Certainly Does

By all means he would have to agree to it. I will send him a letter. Do you agree that this would have a large impact if it were to happen?

Mr. Baldwin has written several articles endorsing Ron Paul, he has interviewed him on his radio show, and he has produced this You Tube endorsement:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c84pJ6E7BYg

He is obviously as passionate as the rest of us.

I will certainly try, but as we have seen in the past their is certainly strength in numbers. This voting demographic has been deciding the outcome of Republican Election Cycles for decades on end. Effectively connecting with these voters (I think is the key to our success) in this Primary.
