The airlines are not the TSA genius. Ron's plan would be to

restore airline safety to their responsibility.

Try learning something before you spout off on a subject.

Having a private corporation

Having a private corporation most certainly does NOT entitle you to detain individuals. You are not thinking clearly.

Freedom in our lifetime! - fiol.us

Can't believe

you just said that. You realize that this is not airline security. TSA is a government body that applies the same rule/treatment to all airlines. I agree that flying is not a natural right and that airlines have the right to do what they want. But since TSA preempts everything without allowing airline-specific implementation of security airlines do not get to do what they want. Which is why TSA needs to be abolished and airlines should take ownership of their own security. Then people would decide which airline they want to take based on the perceived security/ease of entry ratio that the airline offers and that suits a particular individual. That is how free market works.

The catch is - that would be a nightmare scenario for airlines. They would have the liability and they would have to raise the prices on their flights (which they do not have to now because TSA is funded by theft via taxing). That's why they are lobbying to have TSA - no burden of responsibility and the entire nation pays for it. Welcome to centralized planning crony-capitalism.

Traveling is a natural right. And you have the right to use the

modern conveyances of the day without being molested while doing so.

Otherwise, you don't have the right to travel at all, and thus you have ZERO liberty.

The right to travel is a fundamental and central to liberty as the right to think and the right to life.

NO

That's the whole point here, bub. Haven't you been paying attention?

'Live for yourself, there's no one else more worth living for,
Begging hands and bleeding hearts
Will only cry out for more...'

The issue is not with the

The issue is not with the private corporations. It is with the TSA, which is government run. When a state as a whole discussed disallowing the TSA, the government threatened to prevent all flights to and from that state. These private corporations are held at gunpoint, as are their customers. If this were a private matter, one airliner would hire a private security, and the rest would follow as soon as the customers spoke. That is not the case.

It should be privatized then

Yes and No

If you're saying that TSA should be privatized then NO. That would still be the same thing, just that the goverment employees would be replaced by contractors paid by the government to do the same thing. Another slap on the face of free market.
If you're saying that security checking should be privatized in a sense that every airline has their own security and is responsible for their passengers then YES. This is how free market works - various airlines offer various implementations of security - customers choose which ones they are the most comfortable with

WRONG

NO Private Company NOR any government agency has the RIGHT to OVERIDE THE CONSTITUTION. When we allow companies to discrimate than Martin Luther died for nothing

And I refuse to let you search me, you can detain me?

No, if you wish to come

on my property then I can make a search a requirement if you wish to proceed. I can do more then detaine you if you are standing on my property. what state are you in? Ever heard of Castle Law, Thanks Gov. Corbett, Property rights rule.

look I don't agree with the TSA so I don't fly but I do agree that someone has violated the Constitution Art.1 sect 6 in Rand's case.

WRONG

These airlines breach the contract with the customer when they select people for enhanced patdowns.
If you refuse you are detained as a criminal.

You can not cede your natural rights, unless you are suggesting that we legalize slavery

You turn around and walk or Drive

Don't fly your only helping the cause. Make the airlines go bankrupt. do not support the police state by funding the Airlines that alliance themselves with the Fed Gov, Protest the TSA. Demand change!

The TSA is not private...

it really wouldn't take much

it really wouldn't take much to bankrupt them

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

Exactly. What is wrong

with these private companies providing their our private security? Has the American populace degraded into such a blithering mass of flesh that they require a federal entity to provide for their security? I would say yes.

Nothing is wrong with Private Company hireing Private Secutiry

Something is wrong with a private company detaining private citizens that have not broken any laws.

Rand Paul heading for Guantanamo?

Indefinite detention? Torture? Will they make an example of him? I mean, only terrorists would refuse a full body pat-down, right?

"TSA doesn't like the word DETAIN.

They also do not like the words of the Constitution. TSA=Unconstitutional Illiteracy

Merriam-Webster
Definition of DETAIN, transitive verb
1: to hold or keep in or as if in custody
2: obsolete : to keep back (as something due) : withhold
3: to restrain especially from proceeding

A Detention is a non-consensual temporary denial of liberty....The officer has the authority to temporarily deny you the ability to leave while he investigates his suspicion. You may still refuse to answer any questions, but you have no right to leave....If you attempt to leave a detention without the permission of the police officer, you may be subject to Arrest. During a Detention, absent certain circumstances, a police officer may not move you to another location or the Detention becomes a de facto Arrest.

Prayer for you Rand!

Now will THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WAKE UP???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

not yet

Most won't wake up until it affects them directly. The time is coming, though, as they will be affected eventually.

The Police State is here but the sheeple worry about terrorism

I really can't believe that these Neo Nazi like TSA agents have the nerve to intimidate and detain a standing US senator in our own country!!! These are strait up traitors in my book!!!! Give me liberty or give me death!!! What will it take for Americans to realize that the nose is being tightened around our neck day by day, if we don't change our country's current vector!!! Ron Paul 2012!!! Freedom!!!

What do you expect from a bunch of leeches.

Those as*wipes will get theirs. Scorn these TSA agents in every neighborhood. Make them outcasts. Scoff at them. Piss in their lawnmowers gas tanks. Don't let your children play with their kids. Accidentally spill paint stripper on their cars. Give them your love.

Witnessing a US Senator

Witnessing a US Senator participate in civil disobedience is utterly amazing. I never thought when i woke up this morning i would be blessed with such an amazing sight.

Sen Rand Paul is fighting the good fight on our behalf. May God Bless.
