THE WAR: I think I am going to be sick

All I can say is I thank you people here on the Daily Paul. When I came here over 4 years ago, it was because of the Income Tax issue. I found it hard to swallow all this talk about liberty and decriminalization of drugs at the federal level and opposition to the war.

Being a Neocon Evangelical Pastor, I questioned if I even belonged here at all. I stuck around because I thought I was going to be able to educate some of you to reality like a good Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin disciple.

What happened I did not expect ... you guys opened my eyes. I won't drone on all that long about these issues but the war ... THE WAR. How could I have been so blind? I did not and could not understand your hatred for THIS WAR. But now I understand.

This WAR is pure EVIL !!! Even until recently I used to think if Dr. Paul could just not speak so loudly about this war maybe he could win. I COULD NOT BE ANY MORE WRONG.

I as a Pastor need to speak against this evil ... it is my duty ... and I am calling out the clergy in this nation to speak up and out against this wickedness. I just watched this video which would explain why so many of our kids are choosing to end their lives then live with what they have witnessed. This is such a national tragedy ... a grievous sin

Paul should bring this up in the debates!

How about this: put this video, or one like it, on the front page of Paul's main campaign website. Then, the next time someone asks him about foreign policy in a debate. Paul simply asks the audience: "Before voting for more war, please see the video on my website at __.com. It has information you WILL NEVER SEE on the mainstream media. If you care about peace, please give me this one chance to change your mind."

I really think that specifically referencing a website, while making clear that the media can't be trusted, will cause a lot of non-internet-using people to give it a try, and may even force the media to address the bias, lest they appear even more biased than they do already. This will plant even more seeds of doubt and could even cause a chain reaction that forces the reality of the issue to the forefront.

Welcome to Fort Carson.

Your life is over.

the true Terrorist

The true terrorists are the ones runing our country into the ground while destroing countries and over throwing governments in the name of America. We need to boot these criminals out of office and restore our republic, The only hope that we have Is Ron Paul,Those that have comited the crimes dont get introuble they hide in the shadows that run our governmet. And they are rigging the election and run the media.Go get them Ron Paul.

This is the one

This is the one I've been waiting for. If you're from a Republican family especially, THIS IS THE ONE VIDEO to show everyone you know. Once people realize how evil these wars are, they will stop being SCARED of Ron Paul's foreign policy, and instead be scared by everyone else's. Getting people to listen to Paul's economics and constitutional ideas shouldn't be as hard then either, because they would be more open-minded in general to the idea that our government is controlled by psychos.

Are you a Joe Bageant fan?

I'm reading Rainbow Pie right now. Love it! Great moniker!

Haha no I'm a brony!

I had never heard of Joe Bageant :P My two favorite characters from My Little Pony, Rainbow Dash + Pinkie Pie = Rainbow Pie. Sorry haha!

"A MUST WATCH" is right.

"A MUST WATCH" is right. Anger, shame, grief, pain...I'm literally trying to hold it together at work.

Thank You, Sir

Thank you so very much for being open-minded. You have my respect for being able to see the truth and for admitting that you were misled. I think many of us have experienced shock at realizing that we have been lied to for much of our lives. It is not an easy realization to come to grips with. The liberty movement needs men of your stature and influence to continue to wake others. Again, my deepest thanks. God Bless you.

US foreign policy

...a devastating film... what is even more alarming though that it is just a small piece of the puzzle in a much much bigger picture that we are only just beginning to see.

"Last July, the American historian William Blum published his updated "summary of the charming record of US foreign policy". Since the Second World War, the United States has:
1) Attempted to overthrow more than 50 governments, most of them democratically elected.
2) Attempted to suppress a populist or national movement in 20 countries.
3) Grossly interfered in democratic elections in at least 30 countries.
4) Dropped bombs on the people of more than 30 countries.
5) Attempted to assassinate more than 50 foreign leaders.
In total, the United States has carried out one or more of these actions in 69 countries."
[article by John Pilger (http://goo.gl/2PoJv), whose film "The War You Don't See" is strongly recommended...)

"...In the opening sequence of my film, The War You Don't See, there is reference to a pre-WikiLeaks private conversation in December 1917 between David Lloyd George, Britain's prime minister during much of the first world war, and CP Scott, editor of the Manchester Guardian. "If people really knew the truth," the prime minister said, "the war would be stopped tomorrow. But of course they don't know, and can't know." http://goo.gl/lFF4b

Wilson Spread the Flu

by totally disregarding his health advisors. The Spanish Flu began at a mid-western U.S. military training base. It could have been confined - but Wilson was so anxious to get us into the war that he ignored sound advice and had troops transfered from one base to another and then on to Europe spreading the flu around the world. THE GREAT INFLUENZA is a well-researched excellent read. Interestingly, and puzzling, the flu took its greatest toll among the healthiest - young people whose immune response systems "flooded" their lungs with anti-flu "stuff".

As to vaccines, even in 1968 - us Vietnam Vets would receive six or more at a one time. We have every reason to be suspicious of what they put into our soldiers' bodies . . . AND MINDS!

Not a Dimes Worth of Difference - Except Ron Paul

We Who Dare Say No To War

You sir join the ranks of Americans throughout the history of this nation that have seen the unvarnished destructive account of war. Perhaps Tom Woods could add your account to future editions of his anthology work, "We Who Dared to Say No to War."

I Can't Get it Out of My Mind

So sick inside to think of that poor soul and what they did to him; was that poor man alive when they skinned his face? Let us get all the people away from this warring candidates. Santorum cheated the school district and refused to give the money back: the anit-family candidate.

Constitutional Constraint

I don't want to blame the Baby Boomer Generation for what is happening, but I definitely ask myself why they continued to elect the same caliber of human being for so many years: bought & paid for, without principles.

Our constitution has been under DEconstruction throughout the baby boomers' lives, and they still take their marching orders from their preferred "party" and its chosen media mouthpiece.

The government will not turn ITSELF around.
The media is complicit.

I want my American Spring.
The chinese grasp on its people is slipping.
The middle eastern dictators are threatened by their own people.
The russian people are demanding fair elections.
North Korea will not remain in the dark ages through its current leader's lifetime.
America is slowly waking up thanks to Ron Paul & The Internet.

This is a Global Event taking place.
Authoritarian Government is on the way out.

This is why people support Ron Paul so fervently.
He may be the last peaceful solution.

Our Founding Fathers warned us about this.

If you're part of or know someone who is in the older generation - please have a serious talk with them. This wave cannot be stopped - it's just a question of WHEN it comes crashing down.

I won't

go on about how it is in war, but I will comment on the boomers.

First, there is no more blame to them than those of 30-40 yrs liability to the war in Kuwait. No more so to those of 40-50 yrs for the Iraq/Afghanistan war.

Did we elect politicians, yes. However, as blame cannot be levied upon the 20 yr olds of today for NDAA neither can it follow the boomers have the entire fault of past wars.

I was born in 1945. What did I know of politicians? I was 6 at the end of the Korean, and only 16 when Nam took place.

I did not vote for any politician for a war stance. Neither do I believe many others did. Just the same as NDAA is current, how many knew that their elected official would vote for this monstrosity?

As far as the neocons go, I cannot eliminate the liberals. At least during Nam, liberals didn't oppose the war (as far as I could tell) for any great virtue, but simply they didn't want to get shot. Many were happy for "fools" to go, and happy to spit upon those that did.

I would suggest we forget the blame game, get on with stopping this next war. For we may become called upon again, to go overseas or to fight one here.

The problem isn't only with

The problem isn't only with the baby boomers. Our problems began almost at the beginning and every generation since the founding has done their part to let freedom and sensibility slip away.

The 1860s saw half the country revoke their consent to be governed and then get brought back into the fold at the point of a gun, consolidating a lot of power in DC. The early 1900s saw the people let the income tax be enacted, the way states used to elect senators get changed, and allowed congress to create the unconstitutional federal reserve. The 1930s and 40s, Americans bought into the new deal, the 60s, the great society.

Every generation has screwed its successors. We're no different, no better, no worse.

thank you

The older generation was

deceived we did not have computers to check out candidates and had only propaganda tv. I would suggest you be aware also of the uprisings around the world as they could be merely be outraged people being lead by the same people who currently control, it is called "controlled opposition." Don't jump from one slave ship to another, be alert and aware.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

For all the great comments. Some don't believe this guys story. Even if it is half true it is still tragic. There is no doubt the suicide rate among the troops is sky high. That I assume is indicative of something wrong. My heart is broken these past few days I sigh a lot and utter out simple prayers.

Thanks again

Patriot News
Stand up For your Civil Rights

There have already been many documented cases

of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD and committing murder and/or suicide. Considering the experiences described by Mr. Needham's son, this is not at all surprising. These cases get very little attention from the national media.

My Childhood best friend

from waht I can tell is a liberal dem replied to my email...
"WTF, I am appalled at this. You really pissed me off"

So what is he going to do about it?

This is the reality of war

from which the public is dutifully shielded by the media. If these stories and images, and many others like them, were published in the major newspapers and on the networks, the war would have ended long ago. No parent, seeing this video, would encourage his or her child to join the military.

It is very easy to support war, torture and the like from a distance, when the results are kept out of sight and out of mind, hidden behind patriotic slogans and numerical abstractions ("collateral damage").

How many people who glibly defend the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki would say so to the faces of the innocent children, women and men who were killed, burned and sickened by the radiation, and rendered homeless, hungry and thirsty? How many, knowing the outcome, would pull the trigger themselves?

AWARENESS is the antidote to so much evil. The government and media work to stop people from becoming aware, and to substitute a false reality for the truth. This is the reason for propaganda, and for all the euphemisms that comprise the political lexicon.

Media shield

is more of a new coined word.

Yes, until the actual news showed body bags, our soldiers, live and in real time, NAM was not going to end.

We did have shields of WWII and the fate of the Jews. However, we knew about the gas chambers long before we even entered the war. I think it was about power (as it is today) and the thought that Hitler might just pull off a NWO that took us into the war.

The photos of the camps were released about 1962-3 (?). Years after the war.

As far as Japan, Japan was already in negotitations. We bombed them just because "we could".

As far back as I can remember, we have fought wars for power and oil. This is the home. The USA. We may not like to face that but that is what it is.

The only way to break the continuous wars is to take stock in what we can do to use less oil. Can we grow hemp? Can we do without plastic, gasoline? What.

The corporations and the US government will not stop until we the people stop the demand.

We've been awaare since at least the 60's and nothing has stopped the continuation of the repeat of events. Mention $10 a gallon of gas, heating fuel, the use of plastics and see what happens.
