Albert Einstein wisely defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” It has become painfully obvious that the United States of America, by this definition, has entered an era of insanity.
We live now in an era where the choices of those who seek office are not directed by the sensible estimates of the people’s true interests, but rather by biased desires disconnected from the public good. We have seen those who seek office thrive on their own perverted ambitions, feeding their own love of power, hoping to overvalue themselves by playing on the fears and confusions of our country. It is this certain class of men who are increasing their support on these malignant principles. It is also this certain class of men that will continue to increase their support simply by the loudness of their declamations and the maliciousness of their attacks. Change is no longer something to be desired or expected from a single politician.
Change is something only we, the people, can bring upon ourselves. Our voices must become louder than those who are currently seeking or holding power. We must remember that while a Ron Paul Presidency would be an incredible and ground shattering win for Liberty, this movement expands far beyond one single individual. It is time to start pushing to expel the current members of Congress, crushing their chances of reelection. Ron Paul is opening the door for other pro-liberty individuals to successfully run for office, people who advocate TRUTH and are influenced by PURE principles. We all must become more active in our local politics, continuing to guard against all attempts to infect the principles of liberty.
This is just the beginning. I want our chapter in history to be one that reads “Redemption/Restoration/Responsibility”. On our current course, we are destined to end where we began; with the fall of a great empire. In the words of Dr. Paul, “Resistance to illegal and unconstitutional usurpation of our rights is required. Each of us must choose which course of action we should take: education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did nothing. Let not those who love the power of the welfare/warfare state label the dissenters of authoritarianism as unpatriotic or uncaring. Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security. Understanding the magnificent rewards of a free society makes us unbashful in its promotion, fully realizing that maximum wealth is created and the greatest chance for peace comes from a society respectful of individual liberty.”
There are many vehicles for us to continue our fight for liberty. I hope that this momentum and enthusiasm for the movement continues far beyond The 2012 election. In the meantime, NOW is the time to become more aggressive than ever for Ron Paul’s campaign. Let ensure a huge win for us this year!
Off to the End the TSA Money Bomb!
