This could all play out well for the good doctor Ron Paul.
Being as he has already introduced his own legislation against the detainment provisions.
AND...didn't Mitt say he would have voted FOR the NDAA?
This could prove to be very interesting now for Virginia.

But would they prevent the Feds or the military from pursuing such goals contrary to their state law? I see the feds going into their state and wreaking havoc just like they have done in CA in conflict of state medical marijuana laws.

...when it's time for VA to vote, their choice is between the pro-NDAA candidate (Romney), and the anti-NDAA candidate (Paul). If VA is this serious about opposing the NDAA, it could become the dominant issue in the primary.

Everyone regardless of where they live need to email politicians in Virginia and tell them we want this bill passed! If we fail at the federal level the states are our last hope

Fight terrorism - repeal the NDAA kidnapping. And then find the miscreant who wrote that provision into them bill. The American people deserve to know the name of individuals who attempt to overthrow Constitutional government.

If there's an article or somethin' saying that Virginia is taking action on this, we should all get together and send it to DRUDGE. It'd be another great way to raise awareness. I'd love for the article to come from tenthamendmentcenter too, for their sake.

The Downside

While the Bill is clearly against the provisions in the NDAA the downside is it just prevents Virginia agencies in assisting in the matter and does actually stop the US government from doing it on their own without local assistance.

said he would have signed NDAA as president in one of the last debates. It was the ONLY time I've heard him booed. :)

(I don't count the time when he and Rick Perry arguing seemed close to a fist fight LOL)

I was so glad of that booing, because first it shows the audience understood the bill, and second they had booed Dr. Paul earlier for his usual steadfast stance on NOT supporting a militant position against Iran et al.
