I vote for the most freedom candidate, or if not known, for the minority party, or if not known, for the non-incumbant.

In 2012 I'll vote how Paul asks. If he doesn't ask, I'll probably vote Johnson.

Don't Vote For Ron Paul for anything less than
Re[love]ution & Renaissance

President in 08

I voted for John McCain in 08. I didnt pay much attention to politics. I am a Vet and the only thing I knew was that Republican presidents raised military pay. Now that Dr. Paul has cured my apathy, that will not be the case in 12.

Dr. Alan Keyes

Dr. Keyes

Bush in '04 Obama in '08, Paul in '12

Was going to vote for McCain until he went all limp noodle during the lehman meltdown. I know alot of people like me who voted Obama and now just go "ugghhhhhhh" at the results.

Never again.

Ron Paul in the PA primary

Ralph Nader in the general election. Been trying to wake people up ever since, helped wake up probably about 5 - 8 since I was woken up in 2007.

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.

Ron Paul write in.

Unofficial Summary So Far

I tried to go through all the comments and tally up totals. I don't think I was able to get exact results but I think they can give you the general trends about what Ron Paul supporters might do.

Baldwin: 96 (30%)

Obama: 38 (12%)

Nader: 19 (6%)

No one: 22 (7%)

Barr: 16 (5%)

Duncan Hunter: 1

thanks for compiling that!!

I'm going to be honest.

I just figured he would be a bit more lenient on war stuff,
plus ending guantanamo...

I bet on the wrong horse, but I wouldn't vote for Barr or McCain.

I was stationed overseas so I

I was stationed overseas so I didn't vote because Dr. Paul wasn't on the ballot.

wrote in Paul in red letters.

my wife, who does not show up at he dp ever (she lets me do the talking), also.

Ron Paul

I voted for Ron Paul in 08 just like I will in 12! ^^

...Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

I was too busy being

I was too busy being distracted and avoiding any real research or news to make an informed decision. I'm ashamed of how little I knew in 2008 and how I voted for McCain because some 5 minute blurp on the TV suggested it. I truly look back on that time and wonder what the hell was I thinking??? Remember Elmer Fudd or Daffy Duck doing something really stupid and they turned into a lollipop "sucker" or a jackass? Yep, that's pretty much what I feel like when I think about that time.

I voted for Bob Barr who was probably the weakest Libertarian Party Candidate in my lifetime. I can buy that Barr had his awakening like many of us here did, but I cannot get the late 90's Bob Barr - R out of my head. My other consideration was to hold my nose and vote for Obama in hopes that he would really get us out of the wars. I did not believe him, though. My wife voted for Barr, too.

Baldwin and proud of it, because he was not a lesser evil.

If you don't vote your conscience, what makes you think your representatives will?

I did the same

a write-in was not possible. This time, I will write-in "Ron Paul" if Dr. Paul is not officially on the ballot...even if I have to engrave his name on the voting machine. :)

Write in, Ron Paul

Another, in a very long list of Ron supporters here I think.
And I'm writing him in this year should the lame stream media steal the primaries from him as they are attempting to do.

Paul in the GA primary but...

I think I'm the only one here that voted for Cynthia McKinney in the General LOL

The libertarian party should read this board

The libertarian party should read this thread and count how many libertarian-minded people chose Bob Barr.

Ron Paul write in

In Massachusetts, it was counted as a generic 'protest vote', and then with the electoral college system, I think it was counted as an Obama vote anyways.

This last point is bonkers. My Republican in-laws were so mad that I was 'throwing my vote away' and not going with McCain, and they turn ballistic when I remind them that the electoral college turned their votes into Obama votes anyways.
