Honestly?
When Jan Helfeld asks if Ron Paul is right Wolf returns with,
"Not my department, I just ask the questions". This is laughable. Is he suggesting there is a department at CNN that tells him what to think? The tonality and conviction in his voice will tell all tonight when he questions Ron Paul in the debate.
Questions given to Ron Paul always seem to have a tonality and conviction behind them at these debates. They know what Ron Paul's ideas are and his reasoning for taking certain positions. Yet, they ignore him and act as if RP is out of touch to the the degree he is frowned upon as unelectable, then frame questions, when they do give him time to speak, to make it seem that he has radical ideas that should be dismissed without merit.
If believing and following the constitution is a radical idea then explain what a conservative is please Wolf?
and then you die
I like the video but....
I think think the title is misleading. Wolf doesn't say ron paul will cut more, he only goes along with jan about how dr. Paul plans on cutting one trillion. He never says anything in support of dr Paul or his policies as the title infers. I guess that's why there aren't any quotes. Just saying! Ron paul 2012
For those who don't know about Jan Helfield ...
... he is a libertarian who goes out to interview politicians using the Socratic Method. He asks questions that try to get at the core of the person's philosophy (or lack thereof) and then gets them to contradict themselves because so few politicans have any clue WHY they believe what they do.
Look him up on YouTube for some hilarious politcians' contradictions and some get VERY angry (one guy threatened to throw him out the window; another said it was wrong to steal, and then stole Helfield's camera equipment). LOL.
Barney Frank got cranky. Nancy Pelosi showed that she is a zombie who cannot think. Daniel Inouye (senator from Hawaii) showed he thinks there are no limits at all on government. He got a black congressman to say that membership in a group that is limited to members of one race is racist, but that his membership in the congressional Black Caucus, where only blacks can be members, is not racist.
Funny (and scary) stuff.
this is great
Socratic irony is the best way to discredit someone.
I think Stephen Colbert did it best when interviewing Bill Kristol 4-5 years ago. He perfectly feigned support for Kristol's insane ideas and beautifully illustrated how ridiculous and wrong they were. (who do we bomb next?!?!)
Pelosi came off as thuggish.
Pelosi came off as thuggish. And the Harry Reid one, where Reid maintained taxes are voluntary, was hilarious.

DEBATE QUESTION
After watching this, I have a feeling that the focus of the debate tonight will remain on an Obama rebuttal to distract folks form the REAL ISSUES. RON PAUL MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THIS. We know where he stands on liberty, but the NEOCONS that are voting want to hear anti-Obama rhetoric, which Ron Paul can do because he disagrees with Obama on SO MANY THINGS! LET US SPREAD THIS TO THE CAMPAIGN ASAP SO THAT RP CAN STAND AGAINST OBAMA AND WOO THOSE NEOCONS WATCHING TONIGHT! Many folks believe that he is weak on the President. He needs to show he is the only candidate who can beat him!!!

I Trust Wolf
Blizter to give Ron a fair shake. He does seem to focus on the real issues, and has done a pretty good job of giving equal time.
If he does a good job tonight, we need to send him some positive messages.
Not a Dimes Worth of Difference - Except Ron Paul
I'm sorry
Your comment is too rational and reasonable.
The truth is he secretly drinks the blood of children and conferences with Kissinger and Soros prior to any Ron Paul interview. He is part of what is called the Illuminatty.
Trust
lol
and then you die
We should definitely add Jan to our wish list of moderators if
we get a Fox Business Debate.
Noticed he caught Wolf going into a debate meeting. And I think Wolf liked his questions. Hmmmm. See if they come out in the debate.

The only problem is...
That most people in the country want more government, so the fact that Ron Paul will cut the most isn't going to help him.
Until people fear the government more than they fear the cuts, we won't get far.
And people also believe the government stuff is free, since they don't understand why prices go up in the stores. They don't understand the inflation tax resulting from money printing.
Why not get free stuff?
We have to do a better job of educating, and enhance people's fear of government.
Helfeld is subtle. He was making sure Blitzer
was alert to differences between RP and the others, in advance of the debate. Good for him.
I like Jans tenacity here but why didnt he ask Wolf if...
...he would be giving Ron Paul equal time in the debate or if he was going to be marginalized again
A man who has hate in his heart is not a free man
I totally agree...
The question should've been asked, "Will RP be marginalized in this debate?".
jan Hetfeild is the smartest
Wolf Blitzer was correct/honest though. they want to reduce the proposed increases, not reduce spending overrall.
I like Jan.
We ought to have him moderate a debate.
Those slimeball neo cons would not get let off the hook, and for once the truth would be revealed, so as Wolf says, the voters would be "smarter". Yeah right Wolf, you are lying through your teeth. Right! If that's your job, to educate the voter, then you fail with a big fat F, and really an "F" is too high. I'd give you a "Z."

Jan Helfeld
Jan Helfeld is interesting, he should ask the questions for the debate.
Cool
Jan always does a great job.
