I was so wrong

This is an apology to Dr Paul....I was involved in the frustrated and frantic attempt to try to advise Ron Paul on his debating skills. I've done some soul searching about this and realize I was wrong. I will never speak for others, only myself.

I realized that I discovered Ron Paul five years ago and he changed my life. I realized that some have known him longer and some recently. I also realized that Ron Paul has been fighting for us the majority of his life and he has been fighting most of that time alone. He has the strongest character and dedication of any individual I have seen in the 62 years seen of my life. Was it easy for him? NEVER. I can not imagine how he continued never swaying in his convictions with so many mocking him, ridiculing him and desperately trying to shut him up. First of all, I know that I would have given up a long time ago and I think if most of you do some soul searching, you will agree that you would have done the same.

I don't care how Dr Paul does in the debate tonight, he is who he is and that is why I regard him so highly and respect him so totally. He has been fighting fairly when the rest have not but as my son once told me "Get over it mom, life is not fair" In my mind It doesn't matter to me how Ron Paul does tonight because I will never waver in my belief and dedication to him. I am with him to the end and instead of watching the debate (he doesn't need to convince me of anything), I will be putting out my new Ron Paul signs all over my property, driving around with my brand new magnetic Ron Paul car decals and hanging my HUGE Ron Paul banner across the front of my house so that my neighbors get the message.

Remember, Ron Paul is not fighthing this war of Freedom and Prosperity for himself, he is fighting it for us, the American people, our future generations and ALL of Americans. When you get older you sometimes tend to get a little wiser and I realize the toll this is taking on him because he is up against so much. I know most of us are frantic because we know how much we have to lose as a country if he does not win but win or lose, we still have Ron Paul with us and each other to continue the battle. Ron Paul has given us the greatest gift that any individual could have been given...the love for Freedom and Liberty.

I am done with my selfish pity party that I have been engaging in all week and it's time for me to get busy.

Let him know that we are with him tonight, give him our strength and that no matter what, we will continue his battle with him, and for him, forever. God Speed Dr Paul!

Love it! lol

I'll have to call someone and try that lol Thank you so much for your post. We are all together in this and NEVER, NEVER alone!

Were all in This Together

Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your honesty and humility. Keep pressing on my good soldier of Freedom!!

I think Carol Paul has allot to do with his fortutude

"Behind every great man is a great woman."

Like you, I imagine what Hell on earth Ron Paul witnesses every day standing for our freedom. It gives me the strength and courage to keep my Ron Paul mobile, wear my Ron Paul for president tee shirts, pass out Super Brochures, make my ourgoing message on my message machine a Ron Paul commercial, go to RCC meetings and take their shunning and insults, and the same from my jobs where co-workers pile up on me because they are ALL for Obama (NPR-bots). I only have a taste of the abuse Ron Paul gets. I imagine what is hardest for him, is when he is betrayed by those who once supported him.

All this has had me wondering, how does he really do it? Besides in really beliving in his studies, experiences and a willingness to be educated, I've come to the conclusion that his rock, besides Jesus who absolutely plays a huge role as a LEADER to Ron Paul, is Carol Paul.

It seems that Carol Paul is a bright light that outshines any darkness. When things have gotten dark and damp, Carol Paul sends us her family recipe book with wonderful comfort food recipes that are tested and true. She sends us birthday cards to send to her "Ronnie", she writes an encouraging email that warms the heart and comforts our souls. I have never met her, but what I have read and the pictures I've seen of her, I get this wonderful feeling of a sincereley GOOD soul who earned their wings in heaven a long long time ago.

I know that Michelle Obama helped put Obama in the WH. Allot of Democrats like her spunk. I've seen how she has made attempts to reach the public for Obama, even having everyone sign a birthday card (My guess is she got that from Carol Paul). It's not just Ron Paul, but I'd LOVE to see Carol Paul in The White House. It would make our nation seem more, "Mom's Apple Pie", connecting Ron Paul's, "Restore America" campaign, to HOME BASE.

So, don't be so hard on yourself.. Christ knows I'm not Carol or Ron Paul, not even a Jesse Benton or Michael Nystrom. None of us are perfect people. We can only work to be our best and when we fail, learn what our mistakes are and grow from them. Peace be with you.

Wonderful post

Thank you!

I'm with you on that. Putting

I'm with you on that. Putting up signs today :)

I'm with you...

I believe many don't understand Ron Paul... but like the you I've come to respect Ron Paul for the man he is rather than the image that some would like him to be.

Many have been conditioned into the many fallacies that is "Public Relations" these days... yet they don't understand these are disingenuous. Ron Paul is truly a real honest man. He is who he says he is and that's enough...

He doesn't need endorsements (the fallacy of association), he doesn't need to attack his opponent's behavior (ad hominem) he has the truth.

I would encourage people to look into critical thinking and the methods to identify logical fallacies... because once one does, one sees what is really going on... one sees why the TV is so harmful and why our schooling system is so bad... not to mention our political system...

Heres a few websites I'd reccommend.

http://www.triviumeducation.com/

http://www.popupfallacies.com/

Just take a look, watch the video on pop up fallacies... and you'll probably never see advertising the same...

Thanks you!

You are so right and I've spoken to others that coming to the same realization!

Ditto. Ron a personal hero to me and many others I am sure.

Love Ron. I know others can debate better than him, but I still love him and have come to accept that the man is 76 years old. You can't expect him to change the way he speaks overnight. I know pray the rest of the country opens their minds up to his ideas.

I owe Dr. Paul an apology

But our silence is not helpful. He NEEDS to hear honest feedback. Pandering is what got us here. I assume he will process all he sees and hears through his own brain, but "2 heads are better than one" has some merit.
I get arrogant, pissy, downright obnoxious. This is a TOUGH fight and I am really not cut out for it. But I stay in there swinging, best I can. And when I am "on" I am pretty good.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Welcome back

Welcome back and please let me apologize to you my friend because I agree completely with this statement ". And when I am "on" I am pretty good."

Good to see you fighting the good fight again,You are one of the most intelligent members of the movement and are very much needed. You are definitely "Cut out for it"

What If?

I was going through all of my old Facebook Posts last night and stumbled Ron Paul's "What If" speech. It wasn't that long ago that he gave that speech before Congress and I could not believe that I had forgotten it and I sat and listened to it in awe. It is so inspiring and reminded me of when individuals in this country had dreams and sometimes they actually come true. When did we lose our dreams? Ron Paul never has. I will find it and post it on this link

When he tells us to have fun, he means it

Thanks for bearing your inner thoughts, NoFreedom.

Dr. Paul has the wisdom and the scars from many years of political battles on all fronts. His "aw, shucks" demeanor is genuine, just as is his passion to turn this country back onto a proper course.

I have been a constituent of Dr. Paul's off and on since 1984 (sorry to beat that drum, but wouldn't you?!) It has been so painful for many of us to see the sorts of attacks he has been subjected to over the years. [Just look into the shenanigans HIS OWN PARTY pulled on him over the years, even going so far as to get a candidate to switch parties to run against Ron!]

Seeing Ron Paul as a lone voice on the congressional floor has, for me, always been both inspirational and depressing at the same time. Inspirational because of the message and the fact that someone was actually saying words of freedom and liberty in that pit of vipers; depressing because he rarely found support amongst his colleagues.

I cannot stress the following enough: Dr. Ron Paul derives his energy and will to continue this race from his family and his supporters. He most definitely sees stories or hears second-hand accounts of what is written on this forum. (I mean, if you had a website dedicated exclusively to your own political message, wouldn't you be the least bit curious every now and then to read what people have to say? Be honest now.)

So, knowing that Dr. Paul seriously derives his energy from his supporters, I cannot help but cringe at seeing some of the "gotcha" headlines and downright mean-spirited posts directed at Dr. Paul and his staff. I'm totally in favor of freedom of speech as outlined here and don't want to discourage constructive criticism. But imagine what a powerhouse of support this forum could be for Dr. Paul if he could consistently come here and charge his batteries for the next hurdle we are asking him to negotiate.

So, I will continue bumping positive stories to keep them from disappearing into the memory hole. I will continue to bump posts requesting help or guidance. And I will continue to thank folks like 'NoFreedom' for their honest assessment of themselves and how they integrate into this coalition of liberty lovers.

:)

Thank you

Keeping this post alive is the best thanks you could give me and Dr Paul. He needs our strength right now more than anything.

Nothing more to say

you said it all. THANKS

I totally agree! Ron Paul has

I totally agree! Ron Paul has been ridiculed and laughed at ON NATIONAL TELEVISION so can you imagine how much of that he has taken privately from his peers? How many hours do you think he worked on speeches to address all the problems in Washington just to be ignored, mocked, CLOWNED by the establishment? I try to remember this when a stranger acknowledges my RP2012 shirt and I'm told "that guy blah blah blah". I love Ron Paul for his class, his patience and admire him for the years he has taken a beating FOR ME. I trust him to keep doing what he does best!

Good onya

You know, when I examine the ups and down in our household after each setback, such as the NC primary, it gives me just a tiny glimpse of the incredible steadfast courage of the man. How he can keep going against all obstacles, so positive in his convictions, year after year, decade after decade, the only one in the parade out of step, and never question himself (or at least so we can see it) constantly amazes me. It puts things in perspective.

You explained exactly how I feel.

I've been trying to convince friends of mine and it gets very frustrating. It's only been a few months and I sometimes think of just giving up, but then I remember how long Ron Paul has been at this without wavering one bit and it re-energizes me. Keep doing your thing Dr. Paul!!!!
