Need Inspiration for Creative Activism at my College Campus...

I go to Franciscan University of Steubenville where many people in my college community support Santorum or Gingrich, I would like to make a difference here since (as a faithful Catholic myself) I ascertain that Dr. Paul's policies are actually more Catholic than his 'catholic in name' competitors.

I want to organize an event, with a speaker, pamphlets, etc, disseminating Dr. Paul's ideas, but I want it to somehow be creative. I think it will be wise to somehow render the event appealing to my college peers- that way people will actually come.

Ideas anyone? I'm open to anything (within tactfulness of course).

If you've chosen a "date" then you might build up "activist type anticipation" using your schools web site.
Today's youth loves being "involved and contributory" and you can use this zeal to your ( Ron Pauls ) advantage.
Ask yourself "what sold you on Ron Paul?" chances are that same ideal, or concept will get others of your demographic excited as well. Don't be frightened to get help when you need it !
Additionally, music, dances, and well presented large scale graphics.
Stubenville Ohio? Then take a group to Cedar Point, a "ride for Ron" event, or to Columbus and the many youth oriented attractions there.
Hold events prior to the main event, I suggest dances with a constitutional theme of patriotic theme, tie the theme to Ron Pauls campaign by the theme at large. Have prizes from a raffle based upon knowledge of the constitution or bill of rights. Correlate constitutional principals to your schools religious teachings, use fun as a function of teaching and vote gaining.
But most of all, enjoy yourself.

Lady Godiva

Some have done Lady Godiva as an attraction (long ago I organized one myself)---usually they are very successful if done right.

A nice lady in a flesh colored bodysuit riding a horse is an attention getter (you'd need a permit from the school to allow the animal on the premises).

In a major metro area like where you are, usually there are plenty of businesses which would have tame horses available for rent and someone with the horse as a handler---having that handler will be important to making sure you qualify for the permit. The horse will be your biggest cost, I'd guess a couple hundred bucks or so would do it.

You can Google to find information. Lady Godiva is a legend about a tax protest.

It has the advantage that you can issue a news release to your local media and it's likely media will cover your event.

Probably that news release should mention the exceptional support Ron Paul has been receiving from young people.

There are lots of ways to get attention; email if you have any questions, want other ideas, etc. I've done alot of this stuff over the years.

Maybe have a poster or

paper listing the three candidates voting records, those other candidates may be Catholic but Dr. Paul walks the path of Jesus.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

thanks for the ideas,

I'm sure the paper records will be very helpful. My school would never be alright with a woman in a skin suit riding on a horse, as it's a private Christian institution.. :D

I agree Dr. Paul walks the path of Jesus, as does the Catholic Church! (it has for 2,000 years) Individuals within the Church who have not assimilated the true essence of the Gospel of Christ (such as Santorum and Gingrich) are very poor representatives of the actual teachings of the Catholic Church.
