Moon Base and NASA

I don't know if this has been discussed.

I missed the debate tonight and just got done watching the highlights. I thought one of the most important things Dr. Paul did tonight when talking about the space program was him mentioning that it was important for National Defense only. Considering the media's effort to brandish him weak on foreign policy, it was ingenious in the way he parlayed the question into positives for his national defense stance. Really helps him stand alone and look stronger than people give him credit for.

He really did great tonight :) I am so pleased! This guy has the weight of a movement on his shoulders and he still finds ways to inspire and encourage all of us. He really is special. We should count ourselves fortunate to live in a time where we can see someone like Paul step to the stage.

Newt is probably trying to play to

all of the Scifi buffs out there.

I'd love a moonbase buuuuuuut only if it's privately done.. Hell I've dreamed of a commercial space carrier that would produce it's own "everything" and fly out among the stars, then it was on TV and I had popcorn.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

Dr Paul knows way more than Newtron, Willard, or Sanitarium

when it comes to NASA, as it was part of his old district prior to leaving for his run as Libertarian. NASA is a huge bureaucracy, where most employees get paid for doing nothing. I remember back in the early 80's, when I was around 12, my grandfather and I slipped out of the tourist area to try to see what went on, and every office we passed the majority were playing Rubic's cube or were sitting around BSing, but there were Rubic's cubes sitting on their desks. Dr Paul needs to state if he is president, he will streamline NASA, end the massive do nothing employees, and focus on defense and other technologies vital to strengthening America. We have to get our debt crisis under control, before can place any focus Moon colonies and other journeys into space.

Commanding the High Ground is essential.

As for privatization, I question whether the Thought Police would allow small companies or individuals to develop missile or flight capabilities.

I'll take my Liberty, it's not yours to give.

moon base?

What is this a joke? Has anyone watched Austin Powers from the 90's lately? Dr. Evil's 'moon base' w/ the 'lazer', LOL. This is pure comedy. Yeah, we need a moon base so we can use advanced weaponry and target portions of the earth, or the elities realize it's time to get out of dodge and find a new hole to dwell in. Of course, all at the expense of the taxpayers.

After Ron Paul wins the

After Ron Paul wins the presidency, I picture Gingrich fleeing to his moon base and plotting to blow up the Earth with a laser.

Mitt Romney will retire to the Cayman Islands or Bermuda. Goldman Sachs won't return his phone calls because they spent all those hundreds of millions on his campaign for nothing.

Santorum will join the Honduran army to fight against the Islamofascist takeover of Central America.
