In the beginning, I saw a very sad Dr. Paul~

When Ron first came out to the podium at the beginning of the debate, he must have been feeling shunted by the Media already, as he walked slowly to his "place". It must be an awful feeling to always be disliked I thought to myself. He looked weary and lonely as he stood there at the podium, and I think, weary of all our comments on Daily Paul asking and pleading with him to do better, be more forceful, etc. I sensed in his face he felt he was letting us all down. It was sad for me to see that look. He looked so downcast.

But, I noticed he picked up with the detection of his "supporters" in the audience and began to feel a little better. DR. PAUL is THE ONE who has the PEOPLE's HEARTS, not Romney or Grinch or Santorum who have the Media and the Fed elitists on their "decks are stacked" side. We have an incredibly intelligent man, so brilliant a historian he is, and so kind-hearted and good and decent! Yes, he knows he's not the most eloquent spokesman, BUT WE "GOT IT"~~~why can't the rest of Americans "get it"! And, then, I thought, it can't be that Gingrich had to cancel an event due to low turnout, and Ron had over 1,000 people, and the Grinch shoots to 1st place? It CAN"T be that the GOP who hates Ron would manipulate their vote totals, can it be? And, then, I hear the discontent of so many of our baby boomer friends, and those who have turned to Dr. Paul, and I think, in this government, that they would do anything short of murder to get their way, and I'm not too sure they wouldn't do that, too. Dr. Paul said of our boys trapped overseas, "My heart weeps for them." That struck me as the most compassionate, heart-felt, moving words of all the debates. Anyone watching HAD to have been touched by him at that moment.

We may not win the nomination with so much chicanery and machinations flying around, unless there is divine intervention, but we WILL win more and more hearts and minds all the way to the very end. And, I will support this movement, regardless of the torment and anguish the power elite money changers put Dr. Paul through, because if he can stand this, then, I shall!

I agree

I noticed it too, his body language displayed a distasteful feeling in his gut, to face the hypocrisy that is our media. I too, agree that it is too obvious that the votes are fixed, and this may a redundant plight for all of us, but especially Ron Paul who is in the midst of these disgraceful people. What can we do? We cheer him and applaud him, and we must pray for justice, there is no other recourse, the New World Order is behind their puppets, and they own the government, but what seems impossible, may have victory in the end, we must keep the faith.

I agree! We must keep the faith! And, it's "ok" if we want to "advise" the good doctor. He understands. How about all the tie & shirt suggestions we all gave. He took that one to heart, and I've seen nothing but GREAT TIES ever since! And, his shirts are so crisp, too! True, we probably need a real tailor to help the jacket situation, but most of the time Dr. Paul looks good.

We all just cringe when the Media is being a big, bad bully! And, here we sit helpless in our livingrooms, and all we all want to do is come at those people with a bulldozer, you know?

So, maybe, we will all get the chance to do some hollering at the Convention. What do ya think? We just might!! LOL

I disagree..we SHOULD give suggestions...TO THE ADVISORS

I think we have a unique perspective on our particular communities and we have unique expertise and communication skills. Our willingness to share all that, and more, gives Dr. Paul a unique strength which the enemies of this republic cannot match.

At the same time we need to keep in mind that Dr. Paul is one man with human limitations and that he is continually working to speak authentic truth. That means the message he delivers needs to consistently align with Dr. Paul's principles and spiritual/mental/energetic state and not merely with what might score points at a particular moment in a particular debate.

I think that we help by trying to frame our suggestions around Dr. Paul's avowed principles. We can also help by attempting to direct our suggestions through Dr. Paul's advisers in the hope that they can correctly assess good ideas from bad, discuss the best ideas with Dr. Paul, and figure out how to weave a particular point into Dr. Paul's campaign in the right way and at the right time.

SAD DR. PAUL?

Maybe a little tired. But AMEN! WE should not be trying,to change the good Doctors delivery. We got it because we feel,He is the real deal!Real AMERICANS! Who want, real change,by restoring the constitutional values, this nation was built on will see too! LET HIM BE HIM ! REAL!

LIVE FREE OR DIE ...GOT BULLETS?

initially, I too felt similarly,

from the get go when I saw that the CNN staff completely F'd up the Doc's stage makeup, in which it could be NO ACCIDENT: his hair wasn't combed properly, his hair seemed unkempt, and his suit even looked wrinkled. I was PISSED!

it's superficial, but still.

but once I sensed that he caught some second wind, don't know whether he saw the R3VOLutionaries in the crowd or what, but when it was on, he was ON!

then, all the crap and my paranoia dissipated. he's the champ he's always been.

on a purely superficial note, I actually adore those black comfy sneakers he wears. lol

though he did wear regular dress shoes for couple of debates, but lately he went back to being comfy. Can't say I blame him: standing around being forced to listen to 2hrs of murderous RINO imbeciles who you know belong in jail, or an asylum at best, while trying your darndest to be considerate and cordial takes considerable amount of effort, even for someone with amazing country doc bedside manners developed from delivering over 4000 babies, having to deal with mothers in their most vulnerable and emotional moments of their lives.

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

I agree to a point but...

This guy really does get the rockstar treatment everywhere he goes. Of course that's not at all what motivates him, but it's true. Those media moments still make up a small percentage of his day. He feels a lot of good that we don't see. Not saying he's not tired, frustrated, etc, and I agree that these actual debates for sure are a downer for him. But walking in, I've seen it first hand, he's like a rockstar. The rest are ignored.

Nicely put:

I had a short conversation with a friend earlier today that put a little zing in my heart. I have converted, educated, or just plain badgered allot of people to the realisation that the only thing decent out there is Dr. Paul and this friend finally told me today that if that's all the republicans have to offer, they are done.
Except for Ron Paul!
He said that he couldn't find anything worth watching last night and decided to watch the debates.
He told me "You know what the trouble with Paul is? He doesn't elaborate on his answers. People don't get it when he throws out a short and simple answer when asked a question. He just tells it like it is and hopes every one gets it. But he speaks the truth and he has every intention of casting his vote for him."
So I won another one over. Or I should say, Dr. Paul has won another one over. Then we had a conversation about the difference between politicians and true statesmen. I feel good and will continue my battle to turn the rest of the neo-cons in my circle of acquaintances. Keep up the great work everyone and thank you for your support.

I love my country
I am appalled by my government

I sense his ability

to keep on chugging is his faith. If it's meant to be it will be - he will stay on track, not alter his message and become duplicitous. THIS is what he meant when he said his faith defines the kind of person he is. It defines the character and integrity we see and appreciate.

If you have to compromise - why bother?

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

It must feel terrible to live under constant attack

I can't think of a better description of those attacking Ron Paul than the words another famous "Paul" wrote in Ephesians: "...Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms"

My respect and admiration for Dr. Paul grows every time I think of what he faces and endures for the sake of liberty, so I do pray for him often.

bejay, what an excellent, wonderful comment!

I love it!

CONSIDER ALL OF THE POWER AND EVIL WE MUST OVERCOME...

....AND HOW MUCH PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE !

Dr. Ron Paul has been fighting the money powers, the war profiteering, the political and
media corruption ...all by himself....FOR DECADES !

Now, FINALLY, just as the entire global financial system is about to go over the cliff...
his wisdom BEGINS to be recognized !

Dr.Paul has been correct all along. But those who are apathetic and complacent...
won't make the time to consider that the real truth about how this world works...
is so much more disturbing than they would prefer to acknowledge.

And those who represent the self-dealing, fraudulent, and deceitful forces...
are not going to yield to what is righteous and true without a battle to the death!

STAY STRONG, and FAITHFUL, and TRUE , VALIANT PATRIOTS!

THE GOOD IS MORE MIGHTY THAN ALL OF THE EVIL IN THE WORLD!

WE SHALL BE VICTORIOUS !

THANK YOU DR. RON PAUL !!! WE SHALL NEVER BE ABLE TO REPAY YOU FOR

YOUR LIFE LONG EFFORTS ...DEVOTED... TO THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM AND JUSTICE !

THERE IS ONLY ONE, LEGENDARY, DR. RON PAUL !!!!

Maybe

It's the prayers.
Now I'm not a religious man but I have been praying for DR Paul just before every debate and every vote.

It sure can't hurt.
On his first answer, I was screaming at the computer "slow down Doc" and he did "Yes".

Then Woof ask him about MittNewts squabble and I said "slam the wolf Doc" and he put him in his place.

I still have a smile on my face.

He looked absolutely horrible

He looked absolutely horrible when he first came out. Looked as if another candidate had just insulted his wife before he stepped out on stage.

He definitely spring to life after the first question or two and was really appealing after he smiled.

If I could give him 10 years of my life

so he could be 10 years younger I would without hesitation. He's not letting me down.. I just like to give constructive criticism. It sets me on fire knowing a man of principle like Ron is getting treated the way he does by the media shills and power elite. When I say he needs to own these questions and cut them down like the I implore the campaign thread it's because I want to see him defy the bullies with conviction. Just like I want to help a kid who is getting beat up by bullies better defend himself. We all want the message to be strong because we all want to see true freedom.

I didn't like the job they did

on his make up - that's all. It had an unnatural effect on his expression.

I was nervous when I saw him walk out

I really felt that the whole place was going to boo him. But then when the place started cheering you could tell it really energized him and I breathed a sigh of relief myself. I knew he would be "on" after that.

Another take

As I get older I notice sometimes, that if I catch an unexpected glimpse of myself in a reflection, that I look more tired or angry than I feel. In fact, sometimes I feel great inside but look glum LOL

Some of this is just getting older and the face is starting to fall. It happens to us all.

He struck me as more fired up and slightly pissed than anything.

Well, this thread and posts changed my feelings....

I admit, at the RPforums, I was a little critical myself. Now I feel guilty:-(.... He did so well and I feel ashamed that I was saying he should have taken a Newt Gingrich approach and attack the media, his opponents, Obama and come out swinging, but instead, we saw a good hearted individual with a light heart, yet still passionate. I didnt even think of this, but man it was the right direction... Where do I see the genius? Well, one of his biggest criticisms is that he is "crankish" and that he is like a "grumpy old man" and he showed that he was not in fact and that he is just upset with corruption, but yet he showed the side that people want to see... You see, polls have shown that people vote for "who they think they can sit and have a beer with" and even though I think thats quite sad, Dr. Paul totally pulled it off without ruining his own integrity and pandering or changing his message to fit the audience. WELL DONE DR. PAUL!!!!

Indra,

PS I admit, I get negative when I feel disappointed and its a personal defense mechanism to handle disappointment, even if its not even guaranteed that I will in fact be disappointed (because I sure was not disappointed yesteday!)

Ron Paul 2012

Man, you said what I feel...

I just read your article that you posted and I want you to know that I feel exactly like you do. I would not change one word or add anything.

That is why I love coming to this site, it is people like you who boost my spirit everyday.

Dr. Paul is my President and I won't except anyone else!

Indeed, all of us Ron Paul Americans (I prefer to say)....

young or middle-aged or old, we're gaining in numbers. We're gaining in strength. We're gaining in knowledge. We always had courage. And, we always will have the respect and enduring love for this courageous man and his wife who supported him through thick and thin. We wish you the BEST, Dr. Paul, and when you feel downcast and disheartened, think this~~we will ALWAYS admire and respect you for what you've done in your life!

My Commander and Chief

Who would it be an honor to serve under?
Who would you risk your life for?
Who has your back?
Obama?
Newt?
Mittens?
Frothy?
Not one of these would I risk myself for.
Not one of them is true to the ideals I hold dear.
To Ron:
It would be an honor to serve under you.
I would hold the line with you sir.
I know you have my back.
Let's fight until it's done-Repulican nomination or otherwise!
No one else gets my vote!
My president, President Paul!

I Was There

I was in the third row, dead center. (Brunette, short hair, print dress among a sea of dark suits, wearing glasses if you watch the replay!)

When Ron came out for a mic check (no one else did)a bunch of us cheered. I kept my gaze on him so that if he looked out he could see me smiling at him and nodding so that he knew I was in his camp. Did he see me? Who knows? I kept my eyes on him a lot during the debate and would smile (I couldn't wipe the smile off my face I was so happy to be there.)

During a break when he was stage right talking with other "stage-people," me and my friend held up our copies of Liberty Defined so that if he looked out a bit he may see that we are crazy for Paul. He DID! He saw us and gave us a slight smile but then he had the aha moment and as he recognized his works he gave a huge happy smile raised his arm and gave us a big animated wave moving his whole upper body. WE LOVE HIM!!!!

So I did all I could to make him realize that he had "friends" right there up front. Four of us were seated together in that row.

Very cool story!

That's really great. I'm sure that made him feel better.

I was there and I remember

I was there and I remember that wave. I didn't realize he was waving at you guys, wish I would have seen that. What an awesome moment that must have been.

I had the pleasure of sitting up at the top, somehow in between the head honchos of the Duval County Republican Party. The guy next to me says this (after he notices my Ron Paul Revolution background on my phone) - "It doesn't matter if Mitt or Newt wins the nomination, we all have to get behind whoever the nominee is and beat the president." I didn't respond, I wish i would have. But I have to admit my heart sank. He's a good man, a veteran navy pilot, town councilman, but to him it doesn't appear to matter to him who's in the white house so long as it's a Republican. These guys didn't really clap for anyone, as if it was beneath them. I did notice the political science major a couple seats down hestitantly clapping for Paul in the final half hour of the debate, I hope it's because Dr. Paul was begining to win him over.
