Ode to DP

As some of you know, I was without TV and computer for some time. Then I got TV, and was horrified at no talk of Ron, but lots of talk about how raising taxes (revenue) just made so much sense, and on and on. After the SC debate, listening to people talk unreal BS, I wrote this. I got computer today, so am much happier now (especially because I missed last night's debate as there seemed to be no ads for it anywhere, on tv, and I did not know of it).
------------------------------------

I cry screams of coppery rage. They swell forth, tirading over a cliff, then trickle down into the abyss where a pool is forming.
It glistens with contempt.

Evil has taken root in the depths of hearts
Turned cold and rocky--the soil it thrives in.
Great groves of horror trees grow black against a sunless sky,
Sinuous branches seeking, reaching, to absorb any random rays of light.
It is freezing and so dark in my Country.

Finally comes the DailyPaul, a fiery fortress from the forest.
Freedom's blazing beacon beckons all who gain entrance.
Glowing brilliance,
Light beams dance together and intertwine
Braiding a tapestry of peace.

At last, I smile
For I knew all the while
A place of light
Makes darkness take flight.
It flees with no fight.
Thanks so much for this site.

hey brother in liberty its so nice to see people say something about this site the dailypaul.i feel like i know everybody on this site i read everyday. there is no site like this one and special thanks to the owner and creator of this site the reason you made the dailypaul is exactly what the people who find it are looking for.after ron paul cured my apathy i felt alone until upon searching i found a home and a family of ron paul supporters unlike anything ive seen.any other politician couldnt buy anything close to this true grassroots support driven purely on passion to restore this country to its roots

Thanks, granger..I am happy a few missed me. It makes it feel even more like home. Thanks for saying that.

I meant it

The thing about cyber life, is one day someone who you see everyday, someone who brightens your day is not there, and you don't know if it's just that day, or the next, or when if ever they will return, if ever. You just don't know. And you wonder... are they on vacation, are they mad at DP or someone on DP, did they have enough? You hope, they are ok, doing good, falling in love, being with friends and family and all good things. (((((( Crickett)))))

You make a BIG difference. DP is not as kind or supportive, reasonable or plain spoken without you.

One reason I want Ron Paul to win is so we have eight more years on DP!

((((((((((( LL )))))))))))))))

You were my first friend on DP. It began when you told me of your support for Nader, way way back when you were much younger, and deepened when you volunteered to be a moderator. I was your cheerleader.

Allot sure has happened between then and now, eh? Allot of birds have been fed. Allot of poems have been writ and read.

Allot of people have come and gone and come again and gone again.

I wore my Daily Paul tee today. I went to a nursery sale and met his helper, and then his mother, and when he finally got around to me, he said, pointing at my shirt, "I think I like him. I thought that was Bush at first. You don't look like a Bush girl"

"Yeah?" I replied, eyebrows cocked to shoot him a grin. (Speaking of cock, did you know my rooster spurred my @$$ the other day?, I'm eating a Nestle's Crunch bar and Haribo Raspberries) I bought enough shrubs to make a wall AKA hedge 35' long to go along the west side of the property. Then I mowed the lawn, a half acre by hand. I gulped a ginger ale and didn't taste it, but damn did it feel good going down. I thought, "If I had a heart attack, I bet the birds would pick my bones clean (and the cat would help since he decided he likes Layina as much as Iams and Fancy Feast and Greenies".

Tomorrow I plan to go to Church and sing my heart out in the choir and then, I will go to Sweet Water Spa and climb nakid (with rooster spurs showing) into the community redwood hot tub and wait like a spider, for some poor Liberal to come in so I can swoon about Ron Paul. I'll take you in my dreams with me. We will melt together under the water tower with the stained glass of a full moon on a starry starry night, and smell the calla lillies and daphne blossums, and listen to the crashing waves breaking as they did for James Dean in "East of Eden". We will look south to where the sea mist and fog mingle between the redwoods and I'll hold you in my mind hard and LOL with tears of joy streaming down my face, so grateful that You, Dear Tom, are still MY friend.

Peace be with you.

See. LL? I must have known because I bumped it yesterday, hoping you would see it. (see below, and also hoped Michael would..) Am glad you didn't, then, because your post today got so much precious attention, with very uplifting comments. By the way, Dude, I am ur sistah, not ur brothah..but in liberty no gender divides...:)

I knew that.lol.

What happened was he linked from my email and was thinking of me as his brother, while replying to you. I think it was an accident to call you brother.lol.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

hmm

I check my email every three days because of the garbage there.

So you didn't get my mail?

You posted here shortly after I sent you the link this morning so I thought you got it. Thanks for letting me know about the three day thing.I was just trying to be a nice guy and do Crickett a favor because she was asking about you Bro And I thought you would like what she worded here as much as I did.

I did not see m email

Not much energy to get myself to face 100's of emails!

For too long I was ok with it but now I just can't take it.
I want to live my life without having to worry about 35 million people saying what they think to my email account.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

We are all brothers & sisters in Liberty

I love your poetry the style melody vibrations...
No accident that I chose your poem to be on the back cover of Right To Protest book my friend from UK published.

Yes I'm so glad I made that post.
It will help not just me - many others will learn from all those informative comments there.

Read your poem three times and each time I found it more beautiful and more powerful.
