Would You Consider Supporting a Paul / Romney Ticket?

You know Romney has been the most gracious to Dr.Paul, and likewise Paul given Romney a pass for the time being. Both candidates believe this is the best strategy for their respective campaigns. Dr. Paul is holding off on Romney until its clearly a two man race between the two, while Romney thinks he will alienate voters by attacking Paul. It can be easy to get caught up in Romney's respectful treatment of Dr. Paul and start letting your guard down, wondering if Romney is as bad as you may have previously thought. If you can overlook all of Romney's flip-flops and status-quo policies remember one thing and don't forget this, Romney is backed by Goldman Sachs and that support doesn't come without expectations and strings. Never forget what Romney represents and who he is beholding to.

To do this, someone would

To do this, someone would have to coompromise their principles, and flip flop on all they have said before. Only in that sense is Romney a shoe in for the job. But, seing as we have a coalition government here in the UK, and the tail tries really hard to wag the dog, I would say this wouldn't work. It's not about RP, its about the programme, and you need staff committed to it. A lot of Romneyites would jam up the works.

Do You Want DR. Paul DEAD ?

Reagan chose Bush for VP, shortly after taking office a "lone gunman" tried to kill him.
after that it was a Bush shadow presidency.

I don't think it was so much

I don't think it was so much that Reagan chose Bush, I think he was forced on him.

Yes, you are correct, after he survived the assassination attempt, he changed.

HELL no- wait, lemme rephrase that- FVCK NO! that's just a President Paul assassination waiting to happen, so they can get Mr establishment Willard as prez.

I would support a ticket with Dr. Paul for President and Mitt Romney for head of HUD, the State Department, The Departments of Energy, Commerce and Education.

Freedom and Reason, the highest ideals.

The US should acquire St.

The US should acquire St. Helena from G.B. and President Paul can appoint Mitt Romney the Governor of St. Helena.

I trust Dr. Paul

Fighting for the cause of liberty and Constitutional government since before I was born has earned my trust. I doubt he'd be anyone's vice president, but I'm going to trust ANY decision he makes and vote accordingly.

yes and no

No vp I would consider treasury secretary and the sole ability to pick the FED chair. Otherwise Obama or Romney doesn't matter we will get robbed and go bankrupt.

I'd take a f*cking hammer to my foot

before I ever did that.

Depends on the name on the top

Then again either way it would never happen.

I despise Mitt Romney

That doesn't even make sense

How exactly would an islamophobic pro establishment guy like Romney ever share the same room as Ron Paul long enough to discuss foreign policy?

No x 10000000

Its a lose, lose scenario for freedom.

Dr Paul President, Mitt vice president equals the powers that be kill Ron and Mitt is in charge continuing the status quo.

Mitt as President, and Dr. Paul as vice president equals continuing the status quo.

Bad idea

NO, under no circumstances. That would be like placing a yoke on a stallion and a jack-ass.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

I'll say what they say, "Never gonna happen!"

That's it.

Yeah, let me set aside my principles. NEVER!

Would Ron Paul?

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Say What?

I'd rather have my teeth drilled and my prostate examined during a tax audit.

Without Ron Paul, that's likely to happen. =:-o

Romney as VP? Sure.

But as mentioned, get him a ton of extra bodyguards, anti-surveillance, technological and physical protections for all family members, etc., etc.

Nothing comes to those who wait.

I'd want to hear RP's reasons

For choosing Mitt, and then I would consider it. It's very unlikely that he would do it but if he did I assume he would have some very good reasons.

I agree with the comment below that it's nice to see one of these hypotheticals with Paul at the top of the ticket for a change. :-)

Can you say: "Reagan /Bush?"

Reagan entered office an idealist and the man that Ron Paul supported. The GOP forced George H.W. on him and through his first term managed to undermine and help replace Reagan's entire Cabinet. By the seecond term there were no Reagan loyalists left to support the president.

If Ron Paul were forced to take Obamny as his running mate, it would be a sign that a Paul presidency would be heavily controlled and manipulated.

Bush was the man behind the curtain.

Reagan was duped.
