TexMessage: Ron Paul lobs campaign ‘bomb’ to abolish the TSASubmitted by RoadtoSurfdom on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 18:41
The security alarms at TSA headquarters in Washington have gone off. The culprit: Ron Paul.
Days after his son Rand tussled with TSA personnel at Nashville International Airport, his father took extreme measures. He’s launched a campaign to abolish the Transportation Safety Administration and is seeking to raise campaign cash from TSA foes from coast to coast.
The Pauls — congressman father and senator son — have always been critics of the Transportation Security Administration, but the mishap Monday between Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and the TSA caused Rep. Ron Paul to launch a “money bomb” — a bid to raise $250,000.
The donations exceeded the goal late Thursday night.
