An Open Letter To My Future PresidentSubmitted by bobspirit on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 19:23
Dear Dr. Paul,
I am a precinct coordinator here in Nevada, and I can tell you we are as ready as we can be. Our energy and enthusiasm cannot be matched, no matter how many millions Adelson throws in our way.
I just wanted you to know we are here for you, and more than that, we are grateful unto tears that you are here for us.
I have been what amounts to an apathetic anarchist all of my life. Long ago my cynical New York attitude made peace with the reality that public life and the power it offers attracts only the Gingrich’s of this world. I had the right to vote for almost 40 years before I used it for the first time in 2008 to vote for you.
Your presence and unwavering commitment to liberty and the founding principles of our nation fills me with a pride I have never known. And as my beliefs in the avarice and greed of politicians withers, I find it is replaced by hope.
For a while now I have understood the essential evil of central banking systems, fractional reserve lending, and manipulation of fiat currency. I understand the nature of my debt slavery so well I had to go into therapy to cope with it.
And now, as I see this fear based system imploding upon itself, I find hope blooming impossibly like a flower in the desert. I and everyone I love actually has a chance to live in a free country for the first time in our lives!
Because of you.
As I consider it all, I find I am also completely, totally and utterly amazed that you are doing this. I cannot fathom why you would take on this battle at the age of 76 after the successful and rewarding life you have led.
Nope, I can’t understand it, but I am so grateful sometimes that you are that it brings tears to my eyes.
So I’ll walk my precinct, even with a bad cold. And I’ll donate, even though I have to check the limit on my credit card in order to do it, and I’ll jump back in the face of the idiots at fox and the washington post every chance I get.
So when you walk out onto that stage, or get face to face with some bonehead from cnn, remember, I have your back. I have it in every way I can.
And when I’m face to face with the dwindling economic possibilities being jammed down my throat and the throat of my country, I’ll remember with ferocious pride that one of the greatest statesmen in the history of the Unites States has MY back.
THANK YOU, Dr. Paul, from the bottom of my heart, for your courage, your service, and for my hope.
