I am proud to become a member of the Daily Paul.
Since stumbling upon this page, I have spent several hours over the last few weeks reading article after article from passionate subscribers. With each submission adding more passion, fire, and devotion to the support of freedom, I realized it was no longer an option to simply audit the site through frequent interest. With the added knowledge, it became understood that any other option is a choice of ignorance. As someone who takes pride in becoming educated so as to translate towards a greater variety of communication, my idleness both bewildered and propelled me into action.
Like many of you, on 9/11 we remember where we were, the chaos around us, and the hollow feeling left inside. I was all for taking Afghanistan off the map, ridding Bin Laden of his luxury to live, and even grew so hateful that I wished all terrorists would drown in barrels of american spit. I was blinded by anger, blinded by my misguided passion, but mostly I was blinded by my own ignorance and lack of true education.
Since 2003 my eyes have been opened. It began one Summer afternoon when my father and I discussed politics and it's direction. Though briefly, he mentioned something about secret societies and that there was a powerful elite in control. I began with great earnest to understand everything I could find out. From there I learned of the European institution of the Illuminati, then the Yale form of Skull and Bones. I learned about the CFR, the Federal Reserve, and Military Industrial Complex. With this information, my questions only grew greater, my lust for knowledge grew deeper, and my satisfaction with current circumstances grew less.
I stood in disbelief when there were no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq as I remembered watching MSM show me satellite imagery of exact locations. I learned more and more about Americas historical pre-emptive war strategies - like Spanish-American war where the battle cry was "Remember the U.S.S. Maine" as it was reportedly sunken by underwater mines. Reported, exaggerated, but yet successful in swaying support for war. It wasn't until the latter 1900's when it was discovered to be an internal explosion. Another example is Operation Northwoods in which it was proposed to fly two empty airlines over Cuba, have them explode with reported college students on board, thus to provoke a reason for War during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Thankfully JFK denounced that order and fired Lemnitzer, though he became head of NATO just 6 months later.
Those that do not heed the lessons from history are doomed to repeat it. The course of our Nation as long been observed and interpreted but never corrected.
I have been saying the same thing for the last 7 years, I have been ridiculed, scorned, and slighted by many friends. As I realize now, they were once like me and needed to be guided in the right direction.
Like Ron Paul said, "I didn't know you were out there!" I am certainly thankful you are.
