Santorum Just Torpedoed His Campaign! Get The Word Out!

I watched the Republican presidential debate of January 26, 2012 (once it was posted on YouTube) last night and while I have seen the same things that many of my fellow political opinion commentators, both famous and unknown, have seen, one thing stood out to me, and it was a point I think many may have missed. Rick Santorum just lost himself the Republican presidential primary race. Hands down, he lost it. Albeit he lost it in less spectacular fashion then Rick Perry did in his 53 second gaffe in a debate back on November 9, 2011, but he still lost it.

To get the whole scoop on this inside story, read it here!: http://subsidiaritytimes.blogspot.com/2012/01/santorum-is-fi...

I thought it was a good

I thought it was a good analysis and a very keen observation. I hadn't noticed this one. I would like to add that this just shows how nervous Santorum gets around Ron.

I noticed this too

Unfortunately:

The idea that anyone who would remotely consider supporting Sanatorium - or especially any of his actual supporters actually noticing that his response to the question was rambling, incoherent and backpedaling from previous stances is highly unlikely.

And I don't mean that to be insulting or sarcastic.

I honestly think most of them would not notice, or would think it was a great, strong answer.

There is very little intelligent analysis or common sense in the Republican base or the Democratic base for that matter.

Its almost ALL demogoging and appeals to emotion.

What's one more little response at a GOP debate.

Nothing. This will have little impact on his campaign imo.

But, nice article and shows he's on the ball for pointing at least pointing out the problem.

I, for one, was glad to see this author's

interpretation of the debate.

I watch Santorum with my jaw on the floor in each debate. When he starts in on foreign policy he gets hysterical and bloodthirsty. This man honestly BELIEVES that there is a jihadist under every bed. He is a ZEALOT, and that is the most dangerous kind of politician.

Give me a greedy con man over a zealot any day. A politician who is greedy and out for self interest can be threatened and frightened into "doing the right thing" by the masses with the threat of losing the next election. A zealot is unchangeable and dangerous.

Santorum IS the suicidal terrorist that he claims to be so afraid of. He is willing to fall on his sword in an effort to kill every enemy in the world. He scares the living S^%t out of me.

Absolutely

I totally agree with this post, well said.

He has that feverish glow in his eyes, a true 21st Century Knights Templar.

He's like the central casting version of the rogue President in one of those those doomsday movies ... the one that freaks out in the crises and pushes the Big Red Button that starts WW III.

Some people eat up that kind of maniacal fervor; they feel like it makes somebody like him a 'strong' president'. There are enough of those fools out there to keep him in the race so far.

Scary.

That's IT! "Manaical fervor"

JUST the phrase I was searching for.

I have to take issue with the writer's premise.

Paul had said he disagreed with the US trying to force Latin American nations (or any nations) to do what America wants because "what you are talking about is military action," or words to that effect.

Santorum was objecting to Paul's characterization of his stance on Latin America because he had mentioned nothing about using force on Latin American countries (though I'm sure he thinks it would be justified).

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

This article is reaching...

This article is reaching... sorry.

Will they have any further debates once sanatorium and Gingrich

Bail out or will they shield the chosen one from debating Paul one on one?

IT IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!

Jaw dropping hypocrisy from Santorum

I was utterly amazed at how vehemently the man professed the need for the United States to defend democracy in other nations, while simultaneously pursuing an agenda of trampling the Constitutional rights of American citizens. He should have been called out on that by the moderator and asked to justify those two contrary positions.

Bugs in the machine's picture

LOL

Poll at the bottom is 97% voting for Ron Paul!

By claiming there is no conspiracy, you prove to those who believe in the conspiracy that you are part of the conspiracy.

Romeny is tied with....

whats even LOLer is Romney is tied for 2nd place in the poll with Thaddeus McCotter. lol

Why Care About Other Campaigns

Liberty Should focus on the Ron Paul Campaign and the message of freedom and liberty! Not on the negative, questionable and sensational press !!

hope for the best

I agree with the author

Santorum looked aggressive and angry while the good doctor was calm, funny, and reasonable. I hope Santorum drops out after Florida.

I could of swore I heard on a Houston 740am

news break announcement at about 7:15am Friday, that Sanitorum was dropping out due to lack of funds and being fatigued. However, I never heard any more reports, no comments by the host Matt Patrick, or anything on their website about it. Did Sanitarium do a Perry, going to drop, but the PTB told him to stay in longer? Usually, on 740am, if they make a mistake, they will come back an correct in the next announcement break, but heard nothing. I can't see how he can go on if he doesn't have any money, but you never know what kind of money funneling is going on by these crooks.

Did you get the impression

Since Saturday Night Live started making fun of that tense, angry face he always has, he appears to have made a conscious effort to look more relaxed, but in the last debate, he just couldn't keep up the act anymore?

While I agree that Santorum

While I agree that Santorum didn't look very good in that part of the debate I don't think it will hurt his candidacy much. After all, he's appealing to the demographic that boos the Golden Rule.

Good analysis

and I agree!

Santorum was lost in-between answering the question and trying to give the information that Mark Levin told him to say.

And did it foolishly with anger - as that somehow is supposed to depict strength...

"It does not take a majority to prevail but rather an irate, tireless minority keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

--Samuel Adams

Good Point!

Good point about Mark Levin there! Would not surprise me in the least if it was true.

santa said

"The European Union understood how important it was for diverse people to be able to come together in an economic unit".
Nuff said, the guy is clueless.

I noticed that too

Hows that Euro working out for them?

Yeah, I thought that was a big gaffe...

...to look to the EU as an example of what we in the Western Hemisphere need to do. I would think that anybody who is in the least bit knowledgeable about the whole 'New World Order' idea of combining the world into three or four major economic zones prior to a final merger would start to suspect Rick of being in agreement with such a process.

There is only ONE REASON Santorum is finished. It is

that he felt HUMILIATED by his own RINO party, because he was ignored much moreso than before~~by TV and at the debate.

Furthermore, there will be no more cumbaya interviews the night before an election. They are done with Santorum, used up like a dirty rag.....and he FEELS it.

He knows the only reason he was pimped and promoted was to diminish Dr. Paul's candidacy, or to be a proverbial "thorn in his side". Now, he is not needed, because he is no longer effective.

Three-Week old poster Fatally Spams Daily Paul with Gradiose

titles, little content, and a link to some blog!

I always hated the internet hate

I always hated the internet Gamer attitude H8, I so Pwned you. You haven't been playing long enough. You weren't a member back 4 years ago etc...

I am also a 3 or 4 week poster ( 4-5 Month Lurker)
Alot of people Lurk for a long time before posting stuff.

Took me about a year to finally post something on a website called Zero-hedge.

These comments really make me want to think twice about posting anything constructive as it would probably get slammed down with the Pwnage attitude of internet superiority.

Can we make an attempt at understanding the posters comments and how they are beneficial to us as a whole for the purpose of civil dialogue?

Some people are actually happy to be here and help out..

Haters Gonna Hate

as they say.

Some people are just really sensitive about that kind of stuff. Water under the bridge.

I got cussed out for a long time when I told people on here the USD index would rally (i'm a trader). it's all water under the bridge. Just take the licks and move on. Communities like this are made up of all stripes.

As for the actual article, I agree with the blogger's take (maybe not to the interpretive slant since he's obviously disposed against Santorum). it was one of his worst moments and he basically rambled on for four ignorant minutes, told everyone there was a jihadist under their bed, and pissed off every latino within a hundred miles. And rightly so.
