10 people in the last 3 days have stopped me to talk about Ron Paul, in a good way... Because...

I wear buttons, I have bumper stickers & side magnets for my car. And I know most of the issues well. I am able to dispel myths about Ron Paul & offer truthful insights to people.

Please wear your RP 2012 gear & get ready to talk to people! A guy came up to me at the grocery store today & shook my hand & praised Ron Paul. The cashier at that same store praised Dr. Paul & said she 'loved him'. Another lady at that same store the day before asked me if I had anymore Ron Paul buttons. I gave her my button & a yard sign. The cashier at Chipotle commented on my RP button & said she hoped he got elected because "he is a genius." The cashier at Starbucks asked me about Ron Paul. A man on a bicycle pulled up to my parked car & knocked on my window to talk about Ron Paul.

This is all in the past few days. This has been happening for weeks now. The point is: Wear your gear! Promote Ron Paul! I get more comments from my RP 2012 button than anything else. I will wear some sort of RP promotional gear, everywhere I go.

Also, remember, if someone comes to you praising RP & they want him to win, get their information to remind them about the caucus &/or primaries & tell them the best way to get involved. Get them to sign up with you or send their contact info to the local RP offices nearby, or to visit official campaign website & sign up in their state. This is the whole idea: to galvanize support, rally & climax at the caucuses/primaries.

Happy promoting!

What does your bracelet say?

Posted by Matthew E Hayward on 08/29/09 4:29 PM

Last week I was asked by a gentlemen name Dennis; “what does your bracelet say?” I replied; “Republic, Liberty and Justice.” As the conversation went on, he informed me that he loved Ron Paul. Another gentleman overheard and shouted out, “I wrote him in.” One mentioned his Ron Paul bumper sticker and the other asked if I could get him one that said he had voted for him. Dennis told me how good it made him feel when a woman in a vehicle beside him showed him her Ron Paul hat. I pondered on what he had said, as well as the words spoke from the woman who had given me the bracelet at a recent leadership meeting. She said, “I need to be with my people, I need to know that I am not alone.”

After speaking with them for about ten minutes I gave them my card and they both assured me that they we going to become members and were highly interested in getting involved. As this was going on my co-worker, a friend of Dave and Dennis, Bob, was listening. When we left he asked me if Campaign for Liberty would be interested in putting a decal on his boat, explaining that he is a champion fisherman and all of the people he competes with would see and ask about it. Bob also tentatively agreed to attend his local caucus to get further involved in local politics.

A special thanks to Adrianne Mack for giving me the bracelet at the regional conference. These are not the first people to have asked about it, although they may have been the most enthusiastic. I have worn it since I got it and have no plans to remove it.

Ron Paul buttons

I've been wearing a Ron Paul button everywhere I go with similar results, I also carry extra buttons and bumper stickers for those that want them, one guy wanted three bumper stickers to stick on his truck, his wife's car and his daugter's car.

Only 10?

I agree! I wear buttons, a

I agree! I wear buttons, a hat, a t-shirt, and have all of my cars plastered with signs and I bet I've turned more than a few. I hand out bumper stickers (50% of the time I put them on their car) and brochures every day

Very good post

jamespj07, thank you for your thoughtful post.

The personal touch is where it's at.

the people i speak to

i speak to people at work and my friends as well about Dr. Paul and the response is always enthusiastic. Its really great to see so many people who are already aware of Dr. Paul, and are excited for him.

I just try to make sure each conversation now is, "make sure to vote". All of these people are already showing they support him, so no need to really discuss why we like him anymore. Now its all about taking the support to action, and the best action we can do now is VOTE and tell everyone we love to VOTE as well.

Don't forget the Ron Paul

Don't forget the Ron Paul Restore America Now hat. You can wear it every day.

I Will send you a free Ron Paul Bumper Sticker

This is an excellent thread. Write to me at: jfleck2112@hotmail.com and I'll send you a free Ron Paul bumper sticker if you don't already have one. I'll do so until my stock runs out. USA only (includes Alaska and Hawaii). Include your full name and mailing address. That reminds me, I need to go to the store and purchase more envelopes!

Take Care!

Me, too!

I just said this, on my post idea..
I am wearing my embroidered Ron Paul r3VOLution shirt, right now. I use ONLY r3VOLution (cotton) shopping bags, whenever to go to ANY store, and it always opens me up to questions or comments. I am amazed at how many people stop me (esp in the grocery store) to say something, even, "I like Ron Paul and am voting for him". Cashiers many times have a question for me (last time was, Is he racist?).. and I've been able to bring more than one person around to supporting LIBERTY by supporting Ron Paul. last week, one of my longtime acquaintences said, "well, I don't think I like his foreign policy", so I asked, "how many wars should we be in? Did you know that Iran does not have nukes and cannot even get to US?" We had a brief talk, and it seems we have another support of Paul. He didn't like any of the others, and was probably not going to vote, but says he will vote-in Paul, since he already liked his domestic policies.
I guess I'm saying: I AGREE, Just about any interaction CAN be an opening to talk about Ron Paul and what a Paul vote means. Wearing his gear opens a LOT of doors, too!

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

Try placing a yard sign in the back window of your car! You will get a ton of questions where ever you go, just have plenty of materials to pass along.

In California: Important!

In California be sure to tell them that they MUST change their registration to Republican (if only temporarily) for their vote to count in the primaries.

California lets you vote in any party's primary. But they tally the votes separately according to party registration. The parties are not required to accept the votes from other party's registrants. For California the Democratic party accepts such votes. But the Republican party does NOT.

(Parties are private organizations and the states can not compel them. The Republicans didn't want Democratic voters picking loser candidates for their ticket and threatened to ignore the primary vote entirely if they couldn't restrict it to their registered voters.)

There is a movement of Democrats who are temporarily changing their registration to vote for Ron Paul in primaries. It's called "Blue Republicans".

I have Toyota

tundra long bed that I drive around for my excavation business. I have magnets on the sides and a big one on back. I get nothing but positive for them. I have one on the back of my brothers truck too. People ask where I got them and I tell them to go to ronpaul2012.com to get theirs. I figure this is a good way to get them to donate to the campaign. I have bumper stickers on my 2 side dumps and dump truck also. These stickers lead to plenty of conversations about Ron Paul and if I don't convert them, they at least give him a fair look.

I have a taxi company in Idaho Falls, Id and my cabs have stickers on them too. I'm not sure what the response is, since I am not driving the cabs every day, but people have to take some notice every time these vans are at the airport.

Never under estimate the power of changing one persons mind for liberty. I have seen my promotion of the Dr. and his policies of constitutional government and liberty grow by leaps and bounds in people I have been around and promoted it to for years. I know of 5 or 6 people who thought I was crazy in the 2008 election that have come around and are now supporting the voice of liberty that is Dr. Paul.

RP gear atrracts folks but unless

you carry a notepad or a pack of sticky notes with you and get their contact information (and give them yours) all the feel goods are useless.

Have been having the same experience of being approached in stores and stopped at traffic lights. In this case fortunately we are on a state with a RP HQ on the county where it is located and it is easy to give directions through the open window of the vehicles.

ONLY if we get folks' contact information (as the OP emphasized) to the campaign, preferably in the state in which they are registered, does it add effectively to the army who is going to be at the caucuses and primary voting booths.

If you get their contact information you can enter it at the campaign site.

respectfully disagree

how could talking and sharing ideologies of the good doctor be USELESS?? im not gonna trade contact info with every person i chat with. its all good when youre spreading the word.

RP is dangerous, so dangerous

Last Friday I wore my Ron

Last Friday I wore my Ron Paul t-shirt to school. I was walking in the cafeteria and some senior whom I've never met before saw it and shouted "Ron Paul!" He was obviously a supporter lol. I was completely surprised and I didn't know what to say and I just smiled at him as he walked by. If I see him again I will talk to him. :)

I do wear my Ron Paul sweatshirt all the time. :)

I also have a car magnet and yard sign. I am planning to order some of the "A Man of Faith" brochures to put on windshields at church.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

Windshield things

Do those flyers under the windshield wipers actually have a positive effect, or do they piss off more people than they inform? I'm not an eco-freak, but I'm not a litterer either. Has anyone ever collected statistics on this?

Freedom is my Worship Word!

I'm not sure, I got the idea

I'm not sure, I got the idea from someone else who has been doing it.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

brochuring tactics

The cars that are parked on the street for church are surely fair game. However, the ones on a church's private property (parking lot) perhaps not so much, without permission.

Tucking a slim-jim in the driver-side window or slightly rolling a brochure and tucking into the driver-side door handles is another method. (The idea is that the driver doesn't get pissed off by getting in the car and then noticing that there is something on the windshield.)

yes, that is a great idea.

yes, that is a great idea. can someone point me in the direction of where to order these "man of faith" brochures?

RP is dangerous, so dangerous

Here is the link

I thought it was a brochure, it is actually an issue card. :)

RPaul brochures>

Of ALL kinds are available at:

and I think they are ALL a bargain (as I am wearing my Ron Paul r3VOlution tank-top and I-LOVE_RON_PAUL bracelet, getting ready to get into my car with ROn Paul STICKERS! Besides sales of ALL Ron Paul GEAR is for Ron Paul campaign-- so consider it a DONATION (they do!)

We had SOME proof, but RNC does not care about Rules n Laws- they just break and then change 'em to suit whomever (not PAUL).

awesome! thanks to you both.

awesome! thanks to you both.

RP is dangerous, so dangerous

great idea! I never thought of putting those brochures at church

thanks for the idea.

james williams

And it makes me wonder

Awesome stuff like this never happens for the other candidates. either their voters don't care enough or there really just aren't any. :)

How are the other candidates doing so well when everyone you ever meet is a RP fan?

Peace sells... but who's buying?

I thought the same thing. Seems like everyone who is for

another candidate other than Ron Paul, isnt really passionate about that candidate. They dont know the issues. they just want to replace Obama. I am proud to where my Ron Paul gear because of what it stands for. It is a symbol of an idea whose time has come.

Inspiring post and comments.

I too have been wearing my Ron Paul T-shirts and have been getting a lot of positive comments. I need to purchase more bumper stickers and stickers to hand out to people. I always leave the Tax Tips card, with a healthy tip, when eating out.
