Petition needed: Call on Romney / Gingrich / Santorum to Drop Out!

There's a petition calling on Ron Paul to drop out.

I think a counter-petition would be a pretty good way to make a point. It would probably get attention.

None of the other candidates are political conservatives.
There is a great uprising in the US to take control of the GOP away from "the establishment" and reduce corruption.

I'd mention the confusion created by the 3 + 1 view of American Conservatism pushed by the parties over the past few decades: 1. fiscal conservatism, 2. social conservatism, 3. political conservatism + corruption.

I've written again and again about how fiscal conservatism is never achieved without being put in its proper place. To work, it has to be seen as a consequence of limited government; i.e. a result of the only real conservatism in the world of politics - American political conservatism (i.e. closer to classic liberalism). Heavy handed social conservatism applied in politics has the same political effect as heavy handed social liberalism in government: government grows in size and power and budgets with them. Social conservatives may not even be happy with the type of social conservatism the government ultimately forces them to practice. Give social conservatives (and liberals) freedom now.

Many people want Obama removed from office and do not want him to be replaced by a camouflaged version of Obama. They want a candidate who can beat Obama and will deal with our fiscal crisis, bringing the country back under control. Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have tied Obama in match up polls. All the rest are far behind. Of the two, only Ron Paul can, like Ronald Reagan, significantly expand his base for the general election.

The other candidates need to step down for the good of the party and the good of the country. They're seeking power only because they want power and holding out false hope to people to get it.
