Not to mention...

Not to mention we are out-raising the Iowa "winner" Michael Huckabee.

great explanation

This was an excellent short breakdown of how Ron did and what we can expect in New Hampshire with Wyoming looking good as well. I notice there are lots of new postings on this site by ??? with long winded blowhard rantings about what a total failure the campaign is, ignore them as they are mostly plants trying to sabotage moral here.

Yeah, but

I'm not as concerned about trolls as I am about supporters who have lost their focus.

CNN Entrance Polls among 1600 republican caucus-goers

http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epoll...

Feelings About Bush Administration
Enthusiastic (20%)
Satisfied (48%)
Dissatisfied (26%)
Angry (5%)

Makes sense

Watch that.

It's obvious why Huckabee took first place in Iowa. Can he do the same without that evangelical support? Without those die-hard neo-con Bush-lovers?

As Jefferson County goes...

So goes at least a third of the districts in California.
Enlightened people prefer peace and freedom.

Indeed

Jefferson County is described as the "silicon valley" of Iowa, and if that is the case, California will certainly be an overwhelming victory.

FYI

Southern Cal -- I am hearing a lot of Romney talk. No Ghouliani.

I think....

I think Ghouliani is done for even with a strong showing in Florida. I really don't think we are threatened by any republican out here in So Cal. Mitt I hear here and there, maybe McCain, but our true concern is those people (like I used to) who call themselves democrats when they really should call themselves independents. I think one thing we could have done better in Iowa was to take more Independents from Barrack. We need to take the democratic vote here in california, despite having a Republican Governer, it is, infact, a blue state.

Success Failure ...

Everyone says 5th here, 3rd here is a success, etc. If we are going to win, then I ask, when should we start expecting ourselves to win?

Honestly, if we want to WIN, shouldn't we be disappointed when we dont WIN? Shouldn't we be discussing ways to WIN states, rather than looking cool?

Agreed.

Just read my reply on the other topic. We will win, and we can expect no less, but coming in first* in the early states doesn't necessarily mean victory... Just wait and watch what happens to Huckabee and tell me that winning Iowa was important.

Success doesn't happen in a day, it happens daily. We finished 5th in the straw poll, and we finished 5th in the election. If the rest of the primaries go the way the Straw polls went, we are certain to win this thing for sure. Keep positive, our victory will come. Be sure of it.

It's not about states.

It's about delegates.

MY POINT

My point is that I cannot accept going INTO a state saying "3rd place would be nice" or whatever. The message, to me, is a winning message no matter WHO or WHERE you are. Dr. Paul is a winning candidate no matter which state. So I don't accept going into an election saying 3rd would be nice. NO. The goal is to WIN. Period.

1st

We have to shoot for first. It's the only way to get first. If we shoot for third, we can't get 1st. I agree with that much.

Can we focus on the future

Can we focus on the future please?

I agree and...

Until not to long ago, earlier today, it was a "present" issue as the final tally came in. But if you read, you'll notice how Iowa's success will help us for the future.

is this a new campaign site...

...associated with the official one??

i like it, especially the masthead

Nope,

Not official or associated in any way. It's an independent effort. The site is actually temporarily (until inauguration day) dedicated to Ron Paul, it is mainly about the liberty movement, but as such, it's impossible for it not to focus on Ron Paul.

Loss?

I've seen some posts on why IA was a loss or whatnot... wait, what? Read this, Iowa was a success. Even the pundits, of all people, agree. We're supposed to be the positive ones. When the media says it went well for Paul, we need to be a million times more enthusiastic, we're better than that.
