Local news stations in Nashville tonight reported that the TRA had their straw poll (with no mention of vote tallies, percentages, or any numbers), and that THE TRA IS ENDORSING RICK SANTORUM. After the landslide victory Tennessee delivered for Ron Paul today, the TRA should refund the voters money and publicly apologize for ignoring the straw poll results and adding insult to injury by trying to use all the Ron Paul voters money to endorse Rick Santorum. The Republican establishment obviously doesn't want to embrace what could be the future of the party. Instead, they insist on pushing us out of the process and/or resorting to currupt tactics to blackout the Ron Paul groundswell. Research this story! The Republican establishment doesn't care what the voters think!

The Republican Establishment
The Republican Establishment here in TN (The Paulunteer State) is the biggest bunch of Neocon Meatheads you will find just about anywhere on the planet. These people make me sick. I hope Ron comes back to TN before Super Tuesday and I hope we double or tripple the numbers we had from the 2008 1,500 person turnout at the War Memorial building at the Capital.
I'm not surprised because
my sister in TN warned me about the political attitude of the people there. Most of them were not at the straw poll.

She was very happy when Gov. Al Gore became the VP under Clinton. Her feeling was "Anything to get him the hell out Tennessee!"
Stacy Campfield,
the TN state senator from Knoxville, is said to have had a major role in this fiasco to support Santorum.
And Campfield also has just recently come under fire for some VERY inflammatory comments aimed at homosexuals and also some false comments about AIDS. So inflammatory, that even very socially conservative people thought that he went WAY out of bounds with his attacks, and he is on the hot seat right now.
So, it becomes pretty obvious that he's in the corner with Santorum, and likely to have pulled as many strings as possible to swerve the endorsement for Santorum.
So, Knoxville people.
Let's make a point of getting Stacy Campfield kicked the hell out of our TN State Senate in this upcoming election.

Since Ron Paul is getting screwed over by not only the lamestream media, the PTB, and the GOP hacks and politicians, I think we should all make sure that any GOP politician in any state that endorses Romney, Gingrich, or Santorum and not Paul, should not get our votes in their next elections. Let's do to them what the good people of Pennsylvania did to Santorum, when he double crossed them.

The Libertarian Party was formed for the same reason Ron Paul got into politics and at the same time.
I first heard him speak at a CA Libertarian Convention in the 1990's.
Libertarians (in the party and out) have been the national backbone of his campaigns for decades. (Why not? He's the only representation we have in Washington.)
A vote for Libertarian candidates sends a much stronger message than voting for a big government Democrat, or not voting at all. It doesn't take many votes to make a trend they can see, and there's only one way to win voters back.
It doesn't have to be in any particular race, just make sure you don't vote for any of these freedom stealing idiots.

Sounds like the big government loving Tennessee Republican Assembly needs the boot. Perhaps they would find themselves more at home with the Socialist or Communist Party where their deficit spending, debt endorsing, big government loving ways are more in line with the party platform.

I joined the TRA Facebook group and the leader kicked me out in less than a week because I support Ron Paul. After my first post expressing my disappointment in the TRA endorsing Rick instead of the overall poll winner Paul, Sharon Ford told me it wasn't a Ron Paul facebook page. So I stopped talking about Ron Paul and just posted a couple links like the campaign donations(pointing out who owes who favors) and the latest poll that Romney and Paul were the only two likely to beat Obama in a general election. I was booted from the group after that. The leader said it was a Republican group and that I wasn't welcome. I guess being a young Republican voicing my opinion is wrong? The old and closed-minded can have the Grand Old Party. I'm voting Ron Paul if I have to write him in. I hope Romney/Santorum/Gingrich slaves realize we, "Paulbots", aren't settling for another Bush. It's time for actual change that makes sense, like the Constitution!!!

I’m a registered Republican living in the great state of Texas who often visits family & friends living in Nashville and I am appalled that the republican party there would go against the wishes of their fellow Republican’s by endorsing Santorum I got a call from my grandmother 82 year old and a lifetime citizen of Tennessee with this news of what the establish republicans are doing. The way she explained it too me was "that these FOOLS are throwing us under the bus to continue the status quo or politics as usual". You should be ashamed of your actions and be held accountable for your injustices. I told her that as soon as I could I would move her out of this backwards thinking state and leave them FOOLS to continue living in the squallier that the have sewn.

Let's get it on the table.
The fact is that the way to deal with this type of issue is to get off our asses and become PCs. As much as you might detest the idea of getting involved in the Republican Party, it is what will change the course of things to come.
This must be done.
Another way that can be done at the same time is to get involved with the GOOOH.com movement. Ron Paul supporters are perfectly suited for this. It doesn't take a lot of money to become a congressman if you do it together, all at once. We need to be smart. Utilize the internet, (before it is gone as we know it), become the government in the quickest least expensive way possible, and finally show up in masses in places where you can't be ignored. Just blogging is not going to do it. Just sending a bit of your pay check is not going to do it. Pick President's day Feb. 20th to "flashmob" the busiest corner in the largest city in your state. Bring a sign, line the streets in every direction of the intersection and scream We will be heard. Dress nicely, act responsible you are a reflection of Ron Paul.
Well, it's an idea.

Super brochures, there is interest in Santorum, because of fundamentalists, but the people are highly interested in Paul. They greatly took to the brochures, and are now seriously investigating him. They are nearly all interested, but need to be introduced. I only encountered one closed mind, for Santorum, but even she was reading the brochure.
We need to get out there. Talked to two young men at a flea market in Kentucky on way back. Said they never voted before. Told them this time it is different, I, too, never voted before, because I never wanted to support crooks. As I left, I saw them intently reading the SB in their car.
At a gas station saw a 30-year old with family. After he was finished, asked him if knew about RP. He said "The presidential candidate, yes." Now, with SB in hand, he said, "thank you so much, I was undecided and this is great."

The poll was initially set up to run from 10am to 2pm, but was changed to only last until noon just a few days before the poll. Many Ron Paul supporters still got up early and travelled from all over Tennessee to take part in the straw vote. Voting tickets were just over $6 per, and Ron Paul supporters obviously made a lot of money for the TRA as evidenced by Ron Paul’s landslide win. After the poll, event officials announced that they knew Ron Paul won but dismissed everyone who didn’t buy tickets for the banquet afterwards. We were told that the official results would be released in the evening. All the hard-working grassroots supporters and voters who attended in support of Ron Paul were excited about our victory, and began spreading the word. To our dismay, as we watched the local evening news out of Nashville, all that was reported was that TRA had conducted the Tennessee Republican straw poll and were endorsing Rick Santorum for President. Obviously, the grassroots Ron Paul supporters in Tennessee are livid. The TRA took our money and not only ignored our votes, but added insult to injury by actually endorsing Rick Santorum (a candidate most Paul supporters can’t stomach) for President of the United States. The kicker is that the media didn’t announce any numbers or the truth about what actually happened.

Has the RNC called any of you for money? They called me yesterday and I said, after the way you treated Paul in 2008 and all of us supporters, that I would never ever again give one penny to you. He actually thought I was only a new republican because of Paul, but I have been a life-long republican and will give to the party Never AGAIN! I hope Dr. Paul knows I am giving them the business because of the way they treat him.
We don't need parties anymore. Just pick a candidate and work for who you believe in and give money directly to that candidate, not a party.

They are actually questionnaires asking for donations to the R party but they're very generic. (Do you support the Republicans or the Democrats on X issue?) There's no way to answer them.
I just write:
'I'm sending my money to Ron Paul' on a piece of paper, put it into the prepaid envelopes and send them back.
I've gotten 3 phone calls from Mitt Romney today. Maybe those robocalls work, but I hate them.
