I Am An Individual
Submitted by JnyBlu on Sun, 01/29/2012 - 20:32Some of you may have seen my posts on here over the last few weeks asking for volunteers for a new video project. I wanted to get supporters to record themselves reciting a speech I wrote and send me the videos. I had 48 videos submitted from all over the globe and edited them into this final presentation.
I've turned this into a kind of video petition, so be sure and read the description and like and comment if you want to "sign" it. The goal is to get 1 million "signatures" and send a clear message to the GOP that it's Ron Paul or another 4 years of Obama.
Anyway, here is the video.

Now I will say what Dr. Paul might say in one of his books, but never during a short hit piece... errrr... TV interview, or during a roast... errr... a debate:
The sophists have long made their way in this world through their gradual morphing of language to suit the needs of their particular guilds or "societies" (e.g. the "Law Society™", "Civil Society", "Municipal Society", "High Society", etc.)
One example of this is the word "individual". Look it up in a law book. It's a legal fiction, not a living soul man or woman. Just sayin'...

Maybe I am confused, but I have a QUESTION:

There is one candidate.
Who believes that no government.
Has the authority.
To grant any individual.
Any rights.
--> They only have the authority.
--> (If we let them.)
--> To take away rights.
That we were already born with.

Instead of saying "governments have no authority to grant rights, governments only have authority, if we let them, to take away rights"
Maybe say "The Constitution expressly forbid the government to take away our rights outlined in the Bill of Rights."

It speaks to me.
But it made me really think. I could not get a handle about how people could not be all for Ron Paul and his message. I mean, how could you not support this whole idea of liberty?
But now I see something. We are saying we are not a "group" but we are individuals. And that is a totally intelligent and rational way to look at life. That is really reality. We are all individuals even though those that think they are working as a "group" think they have some sort of "groupthink" or whatever those people think.
How do those people ever grasp reality? Their groups are a total illusion. They need to get a grip on reality.

As Dr. Paul has said if the economy were stronger and immigration were streamlined there would be no problem with illegal immigration since entering the country would be much easier. His approach to a very difficult situation is in my opinion the most sensible.
As to whether he will lose "Hispanic" votes because he cuts off "entitlements" to those who have bypassed the law to enter the United States, this way of speaking in and of itself betrays a mind conditioned to thinking as a group.
He will not however ask businesses to police the situation so those who are already here will not be harassed to leave.

What would be the way to curb illegal immigration then? If we allow anyone to walk across the border and enjoy the benefits of being an American without having to pay for it, then what is the point of becoming a LEGAL citizen?

Excellent video! We need to make more of these! This eviscerates the false stereotype the media tries to use to marginalize Ron Paul and his supporters. We're a diverse group of INDIVIDUALS from EVERY race, religion, socio-economic status, etc., not just a bunch of college student pot-smokers (nothing against them, though ;).
An idea I just had for the next one would be, "Who Supports Ron Paul?", and someone could write another excellent speech, with us talking about why freedom brings us together.
Can you imagine ANY other candidates' supporters ever spontaneously doing something like this on their own? I can't.
Again, great idea.

I agree this could be very helpful to the campaign, if this video goes viral. In the mean time it is very encouraging to me as an individual to see the diversity of individuals who support Dr. Paul as fervently as I do. I suppose the bloviating Newt would dismiss us all by saying not one of us is a "decent American".
