Democrat for Obama

My friend is one and during our discussion today I gave him a brief description of why a ron paul policy is much better. This may be a basic template for arguing our points and it may be of interest to begin clipping little facts to help support future engagementsts. Hope this helps,

Health Care, Student Loans, and the Space Program would all be privatized and individually funded. Health-care being privatized would create a true free-market competition between major corporations and it would also open doors for small pharmacies and other business to exist. That would directly bring down costs and improve quality to benefit everyone - as well as his idea of a personal health insurance that stays with you regardless of employment would all bt better situations.

For student loans, the same - privatized education would promote competition. smaller schools will grow due to a lower cost and equal education - larger schools will grow due to lower cost and continued excellent education. Education would increase because it wouldn't be government driven - we would no longer be 17th in the world as more opportunities and real world education would occur. You know nothing we've learned in high school prepares us for college and nothing we learned in college prepares us for the real world, so why continue that path?

The point is - remove the Federal Government from it's control, which really means not allowing the Federal Reserve to print money and invest. The more money 'The Fed' puts in, the less value the dollar has and therefor increases prices. It's an exact economic science that has been proven over and over again in the both the academic world and reality of our economic circumstance.

As for Abortion, Paul is PRO-LIFE in all circumstances. What is the difference between someone getting a double homicide for murdering a pregnant woman and the child inside and a doctor practicing an abortion? Consent? There are plenty of reasons why a birth should be allowed to happen, next scientist, president, doctor, etc. compared the few reasons a birth shouldn't, lack of money for support, lack of a good home, or simply a lack of interest. With a privatized approach, all potential mothers can receive the care they and their baby needs without the worry of what might happen. It's far more humane this way, reasonable, and logical.

I'm not sure how much research you have done on the "War on Drugs' but it's not very successful - it was never intended to be. Why would they start an agency to fight a problem that could be solved in a few years? We know the CIA employs moles - so in part they are aiding the trafficking. We know a majority of the drugs captured are redistributed to catch more cartels in other places. It's a perpetual and self-fulfilling system that causes more problems than its given to solve, all the while wasting your money.

As far as the Middle East there is some basic history we need to consider before making any judgement. We know 80 years ago most of the mid. east was one land that was sitting on the worlds most powerful resource - oil. History tells us that the US helped divide this land into many nations while helping them establish. In the 1950's the CIA helped establish what we know today as Irans leadership - we guided them into a position of authority. In the 1980's when they became a threat through growth, we buddied with saddam hussein and funded the Iraqi army during their war with Iran. During this time Russia became a super power and so GWB senior aided/funded/supplied the Taliban (which he created as head of CIA in 70's) to fight the Russians and Afghanistan won. While that was occurring, Iraq became a 'threat' to Kuwait and we entered into war against Iraq.... and now today we are at war with all three of them. With that knowledge, Ron Paul's NON-INTERVENTION POLICY makes complete sense.
