Sandia Nat. Lab invents a Rifle Chamber based 'Guided Missile'-Ammunition!
Submitted by AnCapMercenary on Tue, 01/31/2012 - 09:23Love the design, as long as the Govt isn't the one that deploys them. But what are the chances of that, considering it's from a govt lab? lol
Oh Lawd have mercy:

WARNING: to those wary of having your IP pop up on any direct govt server, the following link is Sandia's direct .gov website. Visit at your own discretion:

On the other hand, here is a less high-tech, mechanical solution to an ammo design. Possibly one of the more evolutionary (supposedly someone else tried this before) leaps in bullet design in over a century. Behold, a compensated bullet. That's right. A machined bullet, with holes drilled into it, to act like a 'muzzle break' if you will. Great idea, by an Italian manufacturer:

WOW
This is insane, I see both the Good in it and the harm. Now a days with new technology you have to be weary of it used against us.
Garunteed kill for a sniper though and hunter. Sport and challenge has been eroded away.
