LIVE FREE DIEBOLD

50% of my local republican party is tea party affiliated. i know they didn't vote for romney, although the other half probably did.

Chad didn't hang: he's locked up in Florida.

Florida facts turnout down.. 9% of Republicans very solid Base..

Not delusional but the DNC/RNC has roughly 60% of the people identifying with either party. The closed Florida primary was down 16% from last cycle... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Republican_primary,_2008
Mitt 774,989 votes yesterday in 2008 604,932 this is 28% MORE AT A COST OF ~14 MILLION... No wonder Mainstream media cartel does not want to cover Ron.
Ron did pick up 40% more votes than 2008 on a media blackout... The real campaign is going to be on the economy and the two Goldman Sachs evil of two lesser's (prefer South Park Turd and Douche bag). It is education on the issues and liberty... and DELEGATES DELEGATES DELEGATES.. Work needs to be done on the Bloomberg released TARP spending... find the zip files and expose the crony capital that levered the housing mess and passed there protection on taxpayers....

You Want a 'Conspiracy'??

Look no further! Yesterday, CPAC officially cut Ron Paul from the roster this year!! http://bit.ly/yNGAKQ

Good Media blackout doubles our votes...

Can you believe the good fortune of this... Excellent campaign weapon...

Is there a cost comparison of Cost per Vote in FL?

and how much did Mitt improve over the last election vs. Ron Paul?

A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.
A vote for liberty is always a vote for liberty.
I will vote for Ron Paul as either the nominee or as a write in.

It's disappointing Ron Paul

It's disappointing Ron Paul didn't make more of dent in Florida. It's hardly a crucial state, but I would've liked to see him finish closer to Santorum and a much smaller margin between Newt Romney.

I watched it on CNN..something I'll never do again. 50% commercials 30% ugly graphics flying at the screen and 20% Wolf Blitzer being the most boring anchorman in documented history. How can people watch this tripe? Half of the reports were about the reporters reporting. Half of the reporters on location weren't even used, and the other half got to file a tiny bit of what I call 'sideshow-reporting'. Here's a summary:

"ooh.. look at the desk with the 3 Romney supporters. Wow, the grassroots is so active. Look at the 3 signs we conveniently grouped together on the side of the road right next to them. Back to you Wolf." "Thank you Dana... wow, the excitement is certainly palpable. Now over to our patented voting booth cam. This is really special people, never seen before. We have a camera, on a tripod, inside a voting station. How remarkable is that? There must be at least 1, 2..euh.. 3 people in line waiting to vote. When we return after the break we will have another countdown timer for you and John King will try to draw some doodles on the magic wall. But first some commercials." Commercial 1 - are you in debt? we fix. 2 - buy drugs 3 - buy car. 4 - are you in debt (again?) we fix. 5 - buy car insurance.

We still have 9 months to discuss the values of Liberty

Yes the MSM blacked of RP's campaign but we have over 100,000 people raising the conversation of what Liberty really means in a modern society. It falls on us to keep the discussion alive. The truth is searchable on the internet if someone is seeking it.

A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.
A vote for liberty is always a vote for liberty.
I will vote for Ron Paul as either the nominee or as a write in.

Hello from Florida

I would be lying if I did not say we could not do better in Florida. I know no campaign money was spent here but I thought the message was out with the debates. I thought we would at least double the amount of votes from 2008. We did not do that and only got 52,000 more votes than last time. I really thought we could do better than just 5% here in Miami-Dade county
But lets move on to other states now. Florida was one of Ron Paul's worst states 4 years ago and it was the same in 2012.
Lets get fired up for the Caucus and the entire month of February and start stacking up delegates.

Thank you and God bless all the Revolution supporters that worked so hard in Florida.

What a state full of sheeples.

But I got my dad, 2 sisters, a brother and cousin to vote for Ron Paul.

Lot of good it did.

forgive them

... for they know not what they do.

Brain fog is a symptom of both fluoride and bromide poisoning. As the people are accumulating more and more of these toxins from water, flour, fire-retardants, soft drinks, toothpaste, food additives etc etc etc etc and when these toxins work together with aluminum, mercury and other toxins ...

The good people who don't understand they are under a deadly chemical attack become more and more "sheep-like".

What y'all need to understand

What y'all need to understand is that with the deliberate MSM blackout of Ron Paul, even $100 million of campaign ads in florida would not have been enough to balance coverage and bring in the older bloc of voters for Ron.

That's what people need to understand about the MSM blackout. Its not designed for the young people on the internet, its designed to control the opinion of the older Boomer/Greatest Generation voting bloc, the most powerful in the nation.

Florida has a very high concentration of these voters. The psychology of these voters is such that if the candidate isn't covered and isn't discussed on TV, he's not a "serious contender". And that's if they even know who the guy is at all. Therefore a vote for that guy is a wasted vote and a wasted trip to the polls because "he cannot win". Its the deeply flawed but somehow very popular "picking the winner" voting logic.

There is that and the fact that older folks are typically better off financially, perhaps more insulated from the ongoing global financial crisis, and far more likely to vote for someone who isn't going to rock the boat, someone who is status quo "more of the same". When you're older, you generally dislike change more.

I've heard this discussed on the board over and over that the internet generations need to reach out and inform our parents and grandparents about what's really going on, but to be honest the great majority of them don't really want to listen. My parents and grandparents only started to listen to me a little after the 2008 Great Depression II set in. But I knew something was wrong with America as early as 2002 and talked to them about it(I was only 22 yrs old). It took them 6 years to start listening to me. Even today they don't really believe that NDAA is real. I guess they just don't want to believe it. And they only take Ron Paul seriously because I do, but they don't really have plans to vote for him because "its too hard for him to win".

Honestly, the Paul Campaign's strategy is the best possible strategy out there given the demographic composition of our country today. I don't really believe that the older vote can be converted to Ron Paul in the primaries, and that's not a defeatist attitude just a realistic opinion that Florida has proven in spades.

Throughout history the ignorant have far outnumbered the informed. That's the best argument against majority rule democracy you can find right there. In the past the informed usually comprised the elite and those trying to become the elite. Today, as in 1776, we as the informed are attempting to free the ignorant as well as ourselves.

In 1776 our ancestors had to use force to accomplish what we are trying to do today through a peaceful political process. I hope to God that it doesn't come to force for us as well. That's why we cannot give up on this until the last delegate is chosen and the vote is held in Tampa.

Sticking Up for Boomers

ROXNeutrino5, I agree with your comments in general, but I always feel the need to stick up for people of my generation -- they are not all MSM-controlled sheeple.

It was boomers, for the most part, who launched the modern libertarian movement, as a mass phenomenon, in the 1970s (there were earlier thinkers and writers of course).

I personally voted for the Libertarian Party candidate in 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 (I couldn't bring myself to do so in 2008!).

I was very active with the LP and groups such as Advocates for Self Government in the 1980s, even ran for public office a few times. In 1988 I had the privilege of setting up interviews and speeches for Ron Paul when he was in my city during his first run for president; I even got to drive him to his appointments.

I'm a boomer, but let's not forget that RP himself is of an even older generation!

The vast majority of people in any generation are politically unaware, uncaring and uninformed. This certainly goes for mine.

I will say it is heartening -- thrilling even! -- to see the revolution being driven by so many 20- and 30-somethings! This gives me great hope for the future.

There are of course

There are of course exceptions to every stereotype...and we're forced to make stereotypes in order to speak generally about large numbers of people, demographics, etc...of course present company is excepted and the intention was not to be all-inclusive.

That said, I'm in my 30's. And it is good to be in the company of the party elders who laid the groundwork. Well met, friend. :)

The majority here in Florida

The majority here in Florida is "well-trained." There is hardly ever a hint of Ron Paul on local network newscast. People appear to be very drone-like (from my viewpoint) where I've been spending time up in northeast FL.

I don't really get how anyone

I don't really get how anyone - even neocons - would consider voting for Mitt Romney. He's done what, one interview? This is because he wants to shift to the middle in the general election. He purposely takes the vaguest positions possible and his goal seems to be to get by without saying anything that people will remember. I'm beginning to wonder if the Newt surge was manufactured by Romney backers. If he didn't have anyone to run negative ads against, he wouldnt be able to run any ads at all because there sure as hell isn't anything positive to say about him.

Revelations about Mitt

I'm glad other people are catching on to the fact that the guy says absolutely nothing. Nobody knows what he stands for. Gets 40% in Florida without saying a damn thing. It's crazy.

It the we tried a democrat now lets try a republican

Just alternating parties as the vote for difference.

Florida patriots should now

Florida patriots should now concentrate on donating to the money bombs/campaign, phone from home, and sending Super Brochures into the precincts of the caucus states! Direct all your energy to helping us win delegates!!

Stockholm syndrom? I'd say yes...

I expected a different behavior from most of the seniors. It will be sad watching the surprised winter birds who voted for the status quo when their savings and SS checks lose most of their value as a result of the expected inflation. So sad...

"The future is liberty, not tyranny and not big government." --Ron Paul @ Texas A&M 2012/04/10

It isn't that our people don't go out to vote

Yes, you see 1000 people at a Ron Paul rally versus much fewer for someone else. It's not that our people don't then go and vote, rather most voters don't go to rallies for the person they vote for.

Florida results not surprising

Florida's delegates were cut from 100 to 50 since they jumped the primary date forward. Maine and Nevada have more delegates than Florida in that light. They did not campaign hard in Florida, knowing this

What is interesting is the older people voting for Romney -> he will cut their social security and medicare to smithereens...they simply are making an ignorant vote. He will bailout banks and destroy the dollar and there savings...man the media is doing some serious brainwashing on these people.

Need to educate people anti-brainwash.

What I am curious is can Dr. Paul win Texas that is 120+ delegates

Putting it in Perspective

Hard not to be a little down on a night like this, but this photo puts it into perspective. There are a lot of people depending on us to make this happen! http://bit.ly/wZRfs4

RP more than doubled from 2008

in Florida as he has in all states ... he didn't have one campaign person in FL - spent 0 dollars ... showed up for 2 debates and that is it (as far as the campaign itself) and still over doubled the votes from 08 ...

anyway - watch this - it is better for you

Hmm... I lived in Florida for

Hmm... I lived in Florida for the last year and I can say I know of at least 15 people who planned on voting Paul. I honestly DO believe in voter fraud, how could you not? 900 dead people voted in s.c.?

Which did not and would not

Which did not and would not have changed the actual results.
