I Hate The Republican Party!
Submitted by fatlibertarian on Tue, 01/31/2012 - 19:59Watching these returns tonight make me sick to my stomach and I'm sick of this stupid fking party.
I'm simply not a Republican anymore.
I could wipe my ass with my Republican I.D. card. I'm sick of the GOP. They're all talk. They don't truly support any cutting of spending they just want lower taxes and high spending. They want to keep the status-quo in place when it comes to virtually everything.
Let me know when this race is over because I'm not 100% sure what we're doing wasting our time with the GOP anymore. I'm wondering if Ron shouldn't just drop out and go independent starting now? Fk the GOP.

It takes a grown-up...
like Ron Paul to love something enough they'll give their life to change and improve it with no gurantee it will change.
Ironically that's what it takes.
Very good news out of Iowa. AJ Spiker to replace Matt Strawn as RPIowa Chairman.

I love for what they stand for...
based on late 18th- early 19th century definition of a Republican...ie...defender of a Republic based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; giving more power to the states, counties, cities, towns, etc. A true "floor-up" philosophy.
There are no security procedures to prevent Dems (RINOs)from infiltrate the GOP. There should have been background checks similar to a security clearance military/mil affiliates implemented to assure the rank seeking individual really stands for a Republic vs and an ideological adversary.
Please don't try campaigning for RP then
That attitude will not help you to win the converts we need.
Try to get your emotions in check so that you can assist in scoring a MAJOR VICTORY for LIBERTY.
Parties are made up of people. The Rep party is not a monolith.
"You are a den of vipers and thieves."
I mean to rout you out!
-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us
-The door is wide open, anything can slither in
Turn up your nose
and start taking control of the GOP in your area. I hate the fuckers to, but it is better to take over a party who thinks they want small government, rather than the democrats who preach bigger government.
I hear you though. It makes me sick that you have to join a party of government worshiping bastards to attempt at getting your liberty back from tyrants who stole it without your consent.
Yeh I not a repbublican
the only reason to be one is to vote for Paul in a primary. Otherwise they are so not me.
Not as much
as the Democrat party.
Please bite your tougne and help TAKE OVER the GOP
First be a PC.
Second, get access to all the Rep voter data base.
Finally, get yourself into a Republican Party position. Some position, any position of power will do. Move on up from there.
Do you need a secret handshake? we Ron Paul Patriots must climb up inside that organization.
Its fun and its easy. You will be shocked at how easy.
Keep your RP positions all to yourself inside the GOP.
Publicly, keep out in front this refrain:
"Look I love freedom and so I just want to help beat the Democrats".
CLIMB. CLIMB. Get to the top. Pull other RP people up behind you. OWN this party. It is wide open for the taking. For the next 25 years this party can be OUR party.
Treg
Invest in Liberty, one Apartment deal at a time with me. Get a check each month as a passive investor, just ask me how.
Bracing for a fight with the WA State republican party on 3/3
They treat us like dogs as soon as they find out we support Ron Paul.
Gonna get UGLY.
I hate this rotted party too. A lot.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Don't worry, you will get your chance for payback.
Voters are P.O.'d as hell at the Tea Party over the Boehner budget sellout. A lot of Tea Party incumbents will likely lose their re-election bids. Right now, focus on getting Ron Paul the nomination. Ron is making it clear he is running clear AGAINST Congress. This "Kamikaze effort" is going to KILL the GOP incumbents in the House, even if the GOP Establishment succeeds in denying Ron Paul the nomination. If you are following the MSM, you know the tone regarding Ron Paul is already beginning to change. If Dr. Paul gets through the next two weeks in second or even first in delegates, you will see a dramatic "change of heart" among incumbents. This is getting REALLY interesting.
What happened to the Tea Party
I thought the tea party hated the Federal Reserve, why aren't they backing Paul. It seems they just got sucked into the Republican party establishment.
We do need a change in the Republican party, when Paul becomes President some of these neocon SOB'S just might quit the party. If we are members we can easily cause a change in the right direction. I already, planned on joining 3 days ago.
I am also going to become an Election Judge for the November Election, I want to do my part to insure Paul doesn't get ripped off. I have no problem if we lose fairly but it's when I see massive fraud in our past elections, it gets me riled up.
Check out Blackboxvoting.org
Paul is going to shock everyone in May he is like the turtle slowly accumulating delegates, when people realise they been lied to his campaign will catch fire. We just need to keep him in it long enough.
Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed
Its not the...
Republican Party that you have an issue with, it's the people, or those "likely" voters.
Throwing tantrum and vowing to disown the GOP will not solve your problems. We are all knee deep in this mess now.
If a bunch of ex-Trotsky loving neo-cons can take over the GOP, so can a bunch of liberty loving Americans.
The best thing any liberty loving person can do is tough it out in GOP and start voting for individuals with same or similar principles as the good doctor. You wont be picking winners all the time but it is a good start.
In a decade or two, the likely voters that you were hating, will be 6 feet under and what is left is you, the new likely voter that the political figures have to kiss up to.
So cheer up, its not the end of the world....well at least not until December 21, 2012 anyways.

You have a Republican I.D. card? And why didn't I get one?
If Ron doesn’t get the
If Ron doesn’t get the nomination, the party will be torn asunder, and indeed it should! We hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. The latter scenario will divide liberty and power, where liberty coalesces into a force, while the old-guard will be without traction. The old-guard is worn out, deflating as time passes; the new-guard, the vernal patriots, will be, I hope, a force—and a headache—to reckon with.
malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
I agree 111%
These are some seriously fucked-in-the-head scum-of the-earth. The only thing worse than these assholes would be ...
.... wait for it . . .
Democrats.

I just don't understand how
I just don't understand how so many of them can be so gullible. I am younger and never followed party politics. I'm only involved now because of how bad the Republicans and Democrats have destroyed this country. I just can't grasp how some people can not see how phony the whole system is. Then you have people like Rush and Sean Hannity, give me a break! When I listen to them talk I have to keep myself from getting sick. My friends and I listen to them for laughs but we also find it very sad that there are Americans that blindly follow these idiots. How can some things so obvious elude supposedly intelligent people? I mean, Mitt Romney?? Newt Gingrich???? RICK SANTORUM?????? I don't want to live on this planet anymore :(
Ah, but these people you refer to...
...went to public schools, and probably watch tv 6 hours per day, and if they watch news at all it's Fox News or MSNBC or talk radio... and both parents have to work to maintain their debt-based lifestyle.
Oh, and they eat crappy, pre-processed, GMO food, take anti-depressants or a narcotic cocktail and they wash it all down with fluoridated water or aspertame-laden sodas.
It's a combination of dumbing down, brain washing and thought manipulation. We're taught to conform in school... and when we get in the real world that continues. They're thinking, "Everyone's voting for Romney... he must be the best one. I don't have time to think about it. I've gotta work and watch reality tv. All of them are crooked any way."
Right On Sir Ronus...
I hear you.
Bravo!

Republican Party
Each of us must do as we see fit. I, too, hate the Republican Party. Have been Independent all my life, but I joined it back in 2007, only because I understood it to be what Dr. Paul had modeled, and I could sense that the strategy had to be to take it over. Why shouldn't we? And why couldn't we? The Neo-cons did it--although they did it more from the top down, as a core of entrenched "intellectuals" and others already established within and at the fringe of the elite: in contrast, we are working almost entirely from the ground up. It is a source of great stress and unpleasantness to me, and I had to temporarily become inactive because of health problems (not caused by this struggle, but had to take time out from stressful things to rest and heal). Now, I'm putting the armor back on, and going back in. I am not looking forward to it, and I wish I didn't have to. This is an epic battle--and just like battles in actual wars, there is nothing glorious about actually fighting it. It's awful. Only a few people have the makeup to actually enjoy it. Ron Paul has fought that battle every day for years and years, and that's the ONLY reason there is even a battle for us still to fight. Is it worth winning? I assume that each person here would say "YES!" Then if it is worth winning, it is worth fighting, and a strategy has been shown to us. That said, each person must find some tolerable way to live life. If it is destroying the quality of your life to associate with the Republican Party, it might be best for you to find another path. Liberty is not just one thing, and there is not just one way to fight for it, or to live it. But I personally feel that, no matter how it plays out from here, already the Republican Party will never be the same after us. Eventually, we will either BE the party, or we will leave it and pull down the house behind us. I may not live to see it, but I think we have already come so far that ultimately we will not be stopped. On one level, I hate this whole struggle--on another, I feel it is a great privilege to be part of it. I sometimes rewatch "The Shawshank Redemption" to restoke my will for the fight. It took years and years and years to breach the walls of Shawshank Prison, but it was breached from within, and that's a good analogy for what some are doing in the prison of the Republican Party. Peace. I am going to look for something to love, no matter how microscopic, in each individual I deal with in the Republican Party, keeping the thought of Liberty always in my heart, and hope that helps me deal with the stress a bit better this time around.
I am the GOP
I am now a precint chair.
I don't have to like the GOP to use their organization abilities to further my goals of limited federal government.
If we quit, they win. I am the GOP.

I am Ron Paul and I am/will be the GOP !!
its a bottom up process, and we need to do some hard work to get there, but we can do this.

Guys I know it is tempting to
Guys I know it is tempting to leave...and I hate what the party has become just as much as anyone else here. But I think we should try to have patience, and think about it first. At least wait until the election is over, etc. Consider that leaving the GOP is exactly what the establishment wants us to do. They want Americans to get fed up with the Republicans. They want us fed up with the Democrats. What do you think this whole Americans Elect thing is all about? Why do they keep asking Dr. Paul about third party, and why do you think he has refused to do it all this time? If you really think the disappointment is going to be any better with a third party, it isn't. It will still be the same uphill battle we are already fighting. But with even less media exposure. Let's just wait and see where this thing goes first, before we give up. There are still many states left to go.
The GOP has been Hijacked by Neo-Con Lib-Tards!
The GOP is not conservative anymore, check out my post about how the Liberal Neo-Cons have hijacked it. http://www.dailypaul.com/210177/george-bush-elected-with-hum...
Ron Paul has been trying revert the GOP back to its roots thats something that is part of this battle that we are all fighting for..
The Liberal News Media is the largest problem in our country and we need to ban together with real Republican Conservatives.. All those FAKE, Liberal Neo-Cons need to be THROWN OUT of the party. They Hijacked it and do not represent anything Conservative at all.
Ron Paul Started the bloody Tea Party and look what happened, the LIBERAL NEO-CONS hijacked that Party also..
It is a real battle guys and you cannot just give up..
I AGREE 100% Fatlibertarian. You are so correct.
I'm starting to hate this party with every fiber of my being.
I don't like that Dr. Paul called to congratulate Romney tonight and I only pray Dr. Paul doesn't endorse him in the end.
That would be tragic and would reverse everything I've tried to do for him the last 4 years.
The GOP is trying to entice Ron in just enough (a speech at the convention) to get the support of his followers.
But I will never go there. N-E-V-E-R.
I will be very sad if Ron endorses Romney. And I won't be a Ron Paul guy anymore if he does either.
I'm voting Libertarian in November and will be joining the Libertarian party after this is all over - Unless I just go APATHETIC again which is a bigger possibility.
Like you said so well - F**k this party.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

After reading this it's no wonder we are getting 7% NOW
You should hate the Repbulican Pary.
Hate, love, eat, sh*t, dream, f*ck it, scream at it, but leaving it is the opposite of being a Ron Paul supporter.
You guys need to realize this is like the Civil Rights struggle but more covert.
Do you have to get sprayed with a firehose? Are German Shepards attacking you? How many of you been beaten up yet? Or told to sit in the back of the bus?
This is for reals people: Politics is WAR. You think you're a patriot?
You haven't gone through 1/100th of what the colonies went through under the British.
THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS SHOW UP TO GOP MEETINGS REGULARLY AND DO YOUR SELF, FAMILY, & COUNTRY SERVICE.

Your right.
Its just after the results of the primary, I got a little emo over the results.
Deep breath. Now back on my post.
Gorilla tactics right?
Politics is WAR
Got that right. :-)
And Ron Paul has been a marathon runner in this war for decades now.
I'll say one thing though, I'm not casting my vote for anyone other than Ron Paul. I switched over from the Libertarian Party specifically to cast my vote for Dr. Paul, period. I had to put a lot of thought into switching over. It's not easy on the conscience switching over to a corrupt party!
I did it for the principle of the thing, to try and help Dr. Paul change the GOP party from within. If they don't, I'll not remain in it.

Just when we are feeling bad
about how ignorant that many of the Republican voters are, we can then get really down in the dumps when we realize that most of the Democrat voters are going to try to re-elect Obama.
Put both of these sides together, and it becomes apparent why this country is going down the sh!tter.
The truth is that most of the people from both sides of the aisle in this country deserve to be enslaved, because they are begging for it. Nay, they are DEMANDING it!
I'm fighting to be free because it's the right thing to do, and I'm hopefully trying to prevent the other morons from dragging me off the cliff with them.
It may not look real optimistic, but at least we can say that we tried to prevent the tyranny. And there is always the possibility that people could wake up before the convention, especially if further economic collapse occurs.
Staying in the race and competing as hard as we can, will keep us in the running, so that people can make that choice if they wake up.
Hooray!
People are starting to vote on principle instead of blindly voting party lines. I haven't voted for a D or R for president since 1976. I was 13 and clueless when Nixon took us off the gold standard and woke up to politics when the Watergate scandal broke plus my one dollar a week allowance didn't get me into the movies anymore.
After I blindly followed our democratic household and voted for Carter in my first election I started looking over the top five parties instead of just two and picked the one that was more in line with my hopes. So far it's been two independents, five Libertarians and I picked Baldwin from the Constiution Party last time around only because he was endorsed by RP. He was too theocratical for me but since I knew he wouldn't win anyway I went along. Choosing Barr stopped me from voting for the LP that year.
I feel your pain
Let's hope Romney really stumbles through the rest of the states. Gingrich and Santorum will inevitably implode, of that, I have no doubt. A LOT can happen in 46 states...onward ho!
