Clearing The Smoke: The Science Of Cannabis.

This documentary completely opened my eyes about Marijuana and also changed my wife's views on the subject (she actually disagreed with Ron Paul on legalization).

Sixteen states have passed laws that allow patients to use the drug to treat side effects of various illnesses. But now some are moving to either limit or repeal those laws. One of them is Montana.

Montana's Medical Marijuana law has been the subject of intense controversy and criticism. While the media has covered the social issues well, there has been little discussion about the science. MontanaPBS' new documentary reveals how cannabis acts on the brain and in the body to treat nausea, pain, epilepsy and potentially even cancer. Extensive interviews with patients, doctors, researchers and skeptics detail the promises and the limitations of medicinal cannabis. (First Aired Monday, February 28, 2011)

another pretty good one

Thanks, watching now. It seems the US is ahead of the Netherlands in accceptance of marihuana now. Weird. We're actually rolling back the tolerant policies.

Misleading title, maybe. It's actually quite positive but also points out some of the bad sides.
Cannabidiol turns out to be a powerful anti-pscyhotic.

Personally I think there's a lot more potential applications. Maybe things like autism, adhd and such. I know there are, it just needs to be researched. I was shocked to find out how little actual research has been done.

What legalisation?

RP wants to tap the states to mandate their own drug laws individually, and leave the Federal government out of it.

That's ALL it means.

RP will 'legalize drugs' is an MSM disinfo nugget.

what i want to know is....

why does our hippocritical government still list MJ as a schedule 1 drug, with "no medicinal value", but yet they are allowing big pharma the right to produce marinol, made from the THC in MJ?

ron in 12!

Who wants to pass any cannabis drug test?

(NaturalNews) The pressure is on for researchers and pharmaceutical companies to develop drug-based, non-synthetic versions of marijuana for medical use, as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is poised to approve such varieties in the near future. But this potential approval appears to be reserved only for Big Pharma, as the marijuana plant itself could continue to remain a controlled substance at the federal level with no recognized health benefits.

The Associated Press (AP) reports that GW Pharma, a British pharmaceutical company, is currently undergoing advanced clinical trials for the world's first drug made from raw marijuana, which it will seek FDA approval for by the end of 2013. There are currently a number of synthetic cannabinoid drugs on the market that have been approved by the FDA, but none that incorporate actual marijuana (http://www.justice.gov/dea/ongoing/marinol.html).

Known as Sativex, the marijuana spray contains both delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol, which are considered to be raw marijuana's two most well-known active components. GW Pharma is hoping to receive US FDA approval of Sativex for the treatment of cancer pain, as the drug has already been approved in several other countries for the treatment of muscle spasm pain caused by multiple sclerosis.

What does this have to do with drug test you might ask? Easy, if you are currently a medical marijuana user, find a doctor willing to write you a prescription for Sativex, don't bother filling it, just bring it with you to the drug test. With a prescription to a THC based medicine you can pass even a federal drug test. I have known of people doing this right now with Marinol prescriptions, it will be even easier once Sativex is released.

We watched this on PBS... WOW.

Extremely eye-opening. Too bad there is such a stigma on marijuana - that is a carefullly constructed stigma by our government.

This is another miracle natural substance kept secret from the populace. Of course, the big drug companies would never 'allow' a very inexpensive, very effective 'drug' like this to be legal.

Our country is so controlled. May the Revolution be victorious!
