The tea party in some cases has alomst become a joke.

While the tea party group leaders are touting that the tea party stands for individaul liberty and freedom as well as a true small government conservative, Dick Armey claims states speaking for Freedomworks that

"the movement very broadly has forsaken the possibility of having a reliable inovative small government conservative emerge thorugh the Republican party process"

The CNN host says, "What do you mean, I thought that was Ron Paul?"

He hijacked the Tea Party for personal gains..what a joke! Am I the only one that remembers that the "Tea Party" started as a Ron Paul grass roots fund-raiser (money bomb), in the 2007 campaign?

If you don't like the "Tea Party", don't like it for the impostors!

Not universally, of course. Some self-ascribed "tea partiers" are legitimately opposed to the GOP establishment, at least on economic issues, but I think they're in a minority, as every other Republican seems to think of himself as a tea partier, and most tow the party line.

The Tea Party doesn't exist. It's just the GOP. The GOP sent Armey to pee on the campfire of liberty that we started there in 2007.

Listen to what this hump actually says..

To establish his tea partyness, he opens with:

"I don't like politics, they have bored me my whole life."

Armey is a career politician.

Listen to the way he talks about the liberty and freedom part of his "party platform"

"..of course we're for individual liberty and freedom and stuff. And everybody doing their own thing."

..he just left out the ..yada, yada... It sounded like a used car salesman extolling the virtues of undercoating in California.

The Tea party supporters are either ignorant or complicit.

It must be difficult to continue the charade. Palin, Armey, Cain, Trump, now Gingrich, Limbaugh and Hannity!!!

I start to feel very uncomfortable every time the MSM starts talking about the person who gets the nomination may not be in the race right now. I think that would be the DUMBEST thing the GOP could do right now. Have a brokered convention and select someone other than who has been running for the last year?

Same reason we're having so much trouble with government. It's a hydra with a million heads, and we're not sure which one to cut off....or that was until Ron told us about the FED : )

MANY "tea party" people claim that Ron Paul is NOT the father of the Tea Party... It doesn't matter if the first "tea party" was held in his honor, nor that the tea party started first with Ron Paul's ideals. They argue the Ron Paul is NOT the community organizer that actually set up the tea party events, and that Ron Paul himself has virtually never actively promoted the "tea party" platform. Even though Ron Paul doesn't pander even to people who should defaultedly be his supporters is more reason to vote for him...
