Cry For Peace

We cry for peace as war go on no matter what the cost
Because of this I tell you now our country has been lost
We wage wars around the world taking many lives
You watch and see these actions bring our countries own demise
People killed in foreign lands for peace I say they lied
For the death of many in these lands I say is genocide
Illegal weapons that they use and no one has reported
All the lives it costs in the form of the aborted
Enemies will always be as there have always been
But waging wars and killing some increases them by ten
For when you go out killing them and using no discretion
Their loved ones will say, that this is just oppression
And band together they will do to fight off the aggression
Of the ones that came into their land promising protection
For all we bring them is misery, death and devastation
Destroying buildings, houses, farms and more impoverishing their nation
How can it be we can not see the lives that we destroy
While men in castles play with armies as if they are toy
And preaching how we are safer now by fighting oversea
I say ask the soldiers now if this could really be
The thoughts they give will tell you more than what is on TV
