Ron Paul should start using
Ron Paul should start using Switzerland as an example of a defense oriented nation. Really, if Switzerland were a Pokemon, It'd be Shuckle. No attack but a defense so high it can compete with the best and most things don't bother with it.
If the dollar crashes, I'm going to Switzerland.
Wish I could move.
Your own rocket launchers. Great!
FRONT PAGE PLEASE!
Excellent article.
Very enlightening.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Another missing component.
The Swiss are the bankers of the worlds elites. So if anyone even thinks of invading you will have every rich person on the planet petitioning their government to go to war to save their money.
Also the Swiss have marksmanship as a national pastime. They are trained to shoot officers first. So no officer would obey an order to invade them. Also they have forts in all of the mountain passes and can blow up all of the tunnels leading into their country.
So by making yourself impossible to conquer while minding your own business actually works in the most violent place in the world. Why wouldn't it work here?
My new empty threat:
"If Ron Paul doesn't become President, I'm moving to Switzerland." Of course, I'm sure that the Swiss have their own problems, but perpetual war doesn't seem to be one of them.

Thanks for posting this topic.
Bump for empirical evidence.
While the Swiss have enjoyed 200 years of the sanity and prosperity of classical liberalism proposed by Goethe, Americans gave the idea lip-service in the Constitution but they opted instead the centralization and consolidation of the American system and its cousin the Communist Manifesto. Why did American choose tyranny over liberty?
